What A Day That Will Be

The point of this blog post is to bring hope to all that trust in the Lord.  Great Eternal Life awaits those that have repented of all sin and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.  We must endure tribulation until the end is determined by the Lord (Matthew 24).  Let us not be like the foolish virgins who were not prepared. Not one sin will enter the Kingdom nor will any unforgiveness. 

For those that don’t know the Lord, consider the following example prayer.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  Then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will always be with the Lord.  Therefore encourage one another with these words.

1 Corinthians 15:50-57

Brothers, I tell you this: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, and corruption cannot inherit incorruption.   Listen! I am telling you a mystery:We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed,
in a moment, in the blink of an eye,
at the last trumpet.  For the trumpet will sound,
and the dead will be raised incorruptible,
and we will be changed.
For this corruptible must be clothed with incorruptibility,
and this mortal must be clothed with immortality.
When this corruptible is clothed
with incorruptibility,  and this mortal is clothed
with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place:
Death has been swallowed up in victory.
Death, where is your victory?  Death, where is your sting?
Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ!

Matthew 24:29-31

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days:  The sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not shed its light; the stars will fall from the sky,
and the celestial powers will be shaken.
“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

Revelation 11:15-19

The seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven saying:

The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom
of our Lord and of His Messiah,
and He will reign forever and ever!
The 24 elders, who were seated before God on their thrones, fell facedown and worshiped God,  saying:  We thank You, Lord God, the Almighty,
who is and who was, because You have taken Your great power
and have begun to reign.
The nations were angry,  but Your wrath has come.
The time has come for the dead to be judged

and to give the reward
to Your servants the prophets,
to the saints, and to those who fear Your name,
both small and great,
and the time has come to destroy
those who destroy the earth.

God’s sanctuary in heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant appeared in His sanctuary. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings of thunder, an earthquake, and severe hail.

Matthew 25:1-13

“Then the kingdom of heaven will be like 10 virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the groom.  Five of them were foolish and five were sensible.  When the foolish took their lamps, they didn’t take olive oil with them.  But the sensible ones took oil in their flasks with their lamps.  Since the groom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.   “In the middle of the night there was a shout: ‘Here’s the groom! Come out to meet him.’   “Then all those virgins got up and trimmed their lamps.  But the foolish ones said to the sensible ones, ‘Give us some of your oil, because our lamps are going out.’ “The sensible ones answered, ‘No, there won’t be enough for us and for you. Go instead to those who sell, and buy oil for yourselves.’  “When they had gone to buy some, the groom arrived. Then those who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet, and the door was shut.  “Later the rest of the virgins also came and said, ‘Master, master, open up for us!’  “But he replied, ‘I assure you: I do not know you!’   “Therefore be alert, because you don’t know either the day or the hour.
