Sit Tight!

Most know that I have received confirmation to move and to start packing.  I do not have a new place established at the time of this post, but it’s all in the Lord’s hands. The Lord knows that I don’t have the finances to make this happen and I surely don’t have the physical strength to do this.

I shared my concerns with the Lord again this morning, and I thought that I heard “Sit Tight, and all will be provided”.   

I’m taking a big leap of faith on this, as I’ve never packed anything before I had a new place established by way of rental agreement.  I also know nothing at all about the new town.

  1. I am also moving and what I am doing is selling 80% of what I own or close to it. Just sold an armoire, washing machine and now trying to sell a sofa and a treadmill too. I listed it on craigslist and they are buying it up fast which I realize must be the Holy Spirit because this stuff is selling in a few days. I never sold stuff that fast before so He wants it gone and I don’t think we will have much use of these things soon.
    I am like you and needed money also and why I needed to sell off things. I also have taken just a leap of faith and praying I heard Him right from the beginning or else I will soon be living in a tent!!

    Hang in there!! When God moves, He moves fast on your behalf. Help is on the way!

  2. Back here in little Finland i dont sense any need to move but i have had work aplenty of late. This week i might still do 16 Hours overtime but i dont feel fatigued yet. Strenghth renewed like Eagles indeed! Praise Jesus

  4. Trust in the Lord and have faith is all you can do James, it’s what He wants us all to do. He’ll work it out, He always does…I know you know that!

    My husband and I did what you’re doing. I won’t say it was easy and many thought we were crazy, but we simply were being obedient. Like you James we also started packing before we had our house sold or knew where we were going, something we never did before either. We also always had a plan worked out in advance.

    We believed then and we still believe all was instructions from the Lord. I believed we must listen and obey.

    I remember it started a few years back with getting the house ready, lots of work needed done. Finish the work was what we felt we were to do, it’ll sell for a good price and you’ll find the right home to replace it. I’ll take care of you, He always does is what I know. So we worked day and night knowing the fruits of our labor would be enjoyed by a new home owner all the while trusting that the Lord would take us where He wanted us to be and for His reasons.

    When the “for sale” sign went up we started packing, we knew it wouldn’t be long, we felt it. I had previously spent almost 10 year’s in Real Estate so we sold our home without a realtor. I can tell you this, NEVER have I been involved in such a smooth transaction as it pertains to selling real estate, NEVER! Every detail was a testament to God’s involvement. He even brought my children and my husbands children together in a way that was fun and beautiful and different then before. He gave us a glimpse into how a blended family can come together.

    When we first began packing we sorted to sell what we would no longer have room for….but how did we know that? How did we know we wouldn’t have room for all the things we collected over the years. Because we did, because we let Him lead and we obeyed. I began packing and pricing things and felt this overwhelming feeling that in selling stuff I was doing the wrong thing. So I prayed and got my answer but struggled with it. We needed the money but I continued to feel we were not to sell our stuff. Turns out, God’s plan was not to sell our stuff but to give it away, first to our children then to others, unknown others. I knew I needed to obey. Oh my I thought…How does one decide who gets what in a blended family of 5 kids, grown kids and keep peace. I stressed over that question and I prayed and prayed and like always…i got my answer, it was…ha e an auction. I thought WHAT? But it was clear, we were to have an auction for the kids. I also thought, weren’t we to “give” it away? And we were, however, in a different way. When I realized what we were to do, I laughed, I could see the fun in it but how…how do we have an auction, you said “give”it away? Use play money, give them all the same amount of play money…That was so sweet, I loved how He worked that out and so we had an auction with play money, just our family and we had a wonderful time. It was hilarious, our five kids had an awesome time bidding against each other buying up the things we had accumulated. The things we loved we’re now going to our children. Anything left was given to others in need. It was one of the best times we all spent together in that home…a home we all loved.

    When the house sold (a cash deal which was clearly another blessing) we had little time to find a new place to live…but we found one and in plenty of time, The home He choose for us…well I knew as we drove to it, that where we were going was going to be our new home. God works the way He works, it’s that simple, that’s it…and so here we are for the first time in our lives, in the house the Lord choose for us.

    We miss our old farmhouse, it wasn’t easy to leave the space, the country, the memories but we did it because we wanted to obey the Lord.

    We haven’t been here long but we know it’s all part of God’s plan for us . I particularly believe we’re here for the purpose of end times but I don’t have any details. Much has happened that has changed our lives since moving, most for the good but we have had some illnesses. We have ask ourselves several times, how could we have handled this or that if we were still at the farmhouse. The answer is always the same, it would have been a burden. God is all knowing…He loves us so much that He will show us His plan, all we need to do is trust Him and obey His instructions.

  5. Update on Move — Well I know now that I am to continue packing and that a move will take place soon. Where this place is that I am moving to, I have no idea — it’s in the Lord’s hands.

    I also know that a move to Buffalo Missouri will NOT take place. The property owner called me yesterday and asked me to come out and take a look at the place. This was about a 3-hour round-trip.

    The closer I got to the town, I started to feel sick. When I got out of my van and walked into the place, the sickening feeling got worse. After a short time, I went outside to “get some air” and asked the Lord about all this. I asked if I had heard him correctly about pursuing this place and if this is where I was to move?

    I thought I heard “Yes, you heard me correctly. ” and also “No this is not where you are to live”!. Well that was a bit confusing at first, but now I understand.

    I believe this was the Lord’s way of testing my discernment. He wanted me to check this place out and listen to him for further direction. I truly believe that I could have been picking up on some source of evil in the town and the house (witchcraft, satanic worshipers, etc..).

    All I know is that I am still packing in obedience and know a move is going to happen very soon.

    1. Glynda’s posts are often timely with what I am experiencing. This one included. This week felt like a tug-of-war between flesh and spirit, between pride/distractions and yielding to God’s spirit.

      1. Experienced the same here also Mike. More of a huge war to not get/stay in the flesh over a person. I despise that feeling when there’s anger, even if it is righteous anger inside. It was one of the hardest battles to keep taking before the Lord before it broke through

  7. Daily Devotional — 3/8/17

    THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY
    They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Revelation 12:11

    Overcoming believers also declare Christ’s love and forgiveness aloud to themselves, to Satan, and to the world. It is the second way we become “more than conquerors” (Romans 8:37).

    Daniel was called by the Lord to the north of Vietnam where he soon found himself in the midst of a revival. People were coming to know the Lord and Daniel immediately started a training program to equip these new believers. He also witnessed the power of God as people were healed and many were delivered from their addiction to opium. The inevitable soon happened and Daniel was sent to prison, his “training school,” for three years. With a smile that illuminated the room, Daniel shared his experiences in prison:

    “After my arrest I was put in solitary confinement and chained to the ground for six months. This was a very hard time for me. The cell was small, there were no lights in the cell and I only had one bowl of rice and salt a day. A piece of bamboo was stuck over my crossed legs and chained to the ground. Being chained to the ground for such a long time also resulted in my body swelling and creating a lot of pain. I felt totally deserted. I asked the Lord to take my life. It was too much for me. I prayed a lot but thankfully the Lord did not do what I asked.

    “One night in my prison cell, chained to the ground, I saw a vision of the Lord. He did not speak a word. He just placed his hand on me and I felt how new strength filled my body. I cried and repented before the Lord. Then I knew the Lord was saying to me that He would not allow me to leave this world defeated, that when He takes me “home” it will be victoriously.

    “The next day the police came and took me to another cell with other prisoners. Today I can see why God allowed this difficult time. I could share the gospel with many people in prison. After three years in prison there is a church in every area where I spent time in a prison and more than 200 inmates came to know the Lord while I was in prison. Three other prisoners who came to know the Lord also started churches in prison. When I was released from prison, I found my church in the village had grown to 500 people.”

    As Daniel concluded his testimony co-workers could positively see the grace and love of the Lord in this humble man. He looked at them and summed up a life of sacrifice with the following words. “I know that God has a good plan—He sent me to prison to preach the gospel and to become a strong warrior for Him.”

    RESPONSE: I will overcome today by speaking out the word of my testimony to myself, to Satan and to the world.

    PRAYER: Lord, even though I am not in prison, I can be a faithful overcomer today by sharing your love with others I meet through the word of my testimony.

    2. Its horrible with these chemtrails though here its small scale compared to Us skies. But The health effects the article explains are real here too. These minerals are also creating a lattice inside the clouds that enchance or makes scalar tech like HAARP more potenut.

    3. We get a lot of chemtrails here too. My daughter started to get TMJ (jaw pain when chewing), which I read can be linked to a magnesium deficiency. Chemtrail’s contain a lot of aluminum particles. Our bodies consume magnesium to get rid of this aluminum, so we are all probably magnesium deficient. Anyway, I gave my daughter a magnesium supplement (Solgar calcium magnesium with vit D), and the TMJ went away in a day.

    WILLING TO GIVE THEIR LIVES
    They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. Revelation 12:11

    Within overcomers is the ultimate secret of victory that destroys any consideration for reputation, safety, comfort or freedom. They make themselves a willing self-offering patterned on Christ’s own life—a repeated message in the gospels. Not just martyrdom, but loyalty to Jesus ahead of comfort, safety and security.

    In March 2007, a co-worker had the joy of training a group of Arab Christians who were preparing for an outreach to various Muslim countries in North Africa. His teaching focused on bringing glory to God and also on a biblical understanding of opposition, persecution, hardship and possible martyrdom. The students ended the week with a declaration, as they stood up one by one, committing themselves to live to the glory of God. They declared to live a life to be forgotten so that Christ can be remembered.

    A month later two outreach teams from the school traveled to Sudan. One team was sent to the Juba Mountains in partnership with a local church. The team was staying in a village and went out to a rural area to show the JESUS Film. While they were travelling in a truck back to the village at about 10:30 pm, they were ambushed by armed gunmen. The truck driver drove away as quickly as possible, but a number of Sudanese and Egyptians on the truck were wounded in the shooting. Three Sudanese and one Egyptian were killed.

    They first drove frantically to the nearest town looking for a clinic to tend to the wounded and the dead. With no facilities or medicine there, they then had to drive a further five hours to the nearest hospital for help. The darkness and hopelessness turned the journey into an eternity. The questions, the fear and yet the serenity of it all made it seem surreal. When they finally reached the hospital it was too late for Daniel, one of the wounded Egyptians. Daniel died in the arms of one of the leaders. His last words to his faithful friend reflected the words of his commitment to his beloved Savior: “Tell my father that I died for the glory of Jesus.”

    Two years later, our co-worker trained another group who were again on their way to Sudan. The group committed themselves to go back to the very region of the traumatic event, not despite the tragedy but because of the tragedy.

    Our co-worker concluded, “I realized anew that the battle is real but also that victory only belongs to those who participate. So often I hear Christians say ‘we are more than conquerors!’ You can only say that if you are part of the battle.”

    When martyrs meet torture and death without fear, they demonstrate power over Satan’s attempts to try and control us by fear. Evil is defeated because it cannot ultimately win. Then you are an overcomer!

    RESPONSE: Today I recommit myself to live a life to be forgotten so that Christ can be remembered.

    PRAYER: Jesus I adore You; lay my life before You; how I love You.

    Risky Business
    Acts 16:16–34

    Recommended Reading: Matthew 6:21–26; 2 Corinthians 4:7–18; 1 Peter 4:12–19

    After working together for nearly a year, John and Dave became good friends. Dave supervised John at work, but the two men shared a mutual interest in water sports. They even spent a few weekends wakeboarding together at a nearby lake.

    One afternoon at the end of the workday, Dave asked John if he wanted to grab some dinner. While they were eating, Dave commented to John, “You know, you just seem different from the other people I supervise. What is it?” With that opening, John shared his faith in Jesus. Dave nodded his head politely but didn’t enter the discussion.

    The next morning, the way Dave treated John suddenly changed. The joking stopped, as did their daily discussions about water sports. After he later lost a job promotion that required a positive reference from Dave, John finally confronted his former wakeboarding partner. “What happened at dinner last month?” he asked. “All of a sudden I feel like you’re treating me like a leper.”

    “Look,” Dave replied, “I don’t appreciate people trying to ‘convert’ me. And I have no tolerance for any religion that claims to be the only way to God.” With that, the conversation ended. Within six months, John was laid off.

    Let’s face it: Our faith sometimes causes us problems. It’s always been that way. When Paul and Silas delivered a slave girl from spiritual oppression, their actions resulted in a citywide uproar. Authorities accused them of advocating unlawful practices counterproductive to Roman society. The magistrate ordered them beaten and thrown into jail.

    While we might not risk imprisonment or beating, when we follow Jesus we do risk accusations of proselytizing or of being too spiritually narrow. Our stand for faith might even result in ridicule, rejection and discrimination.

    Paul and Silas responded by allowing themselves to suffer on behalf of Jesus. In the midst of their suffering, they even invited their jailer into a relationship with Jesus.

    While we might not suffer to the extent Paul and Silas did, we can still choose to make spiritually correct choices, as they did. We can follow in their footsteps—standing for our faith and even inviting our enemies into a relationship with Jesus.

    How can you be better prepared to suffer for Jesus?

  19. Armored up and praying! Here is an article that confirms to me why the Lord has warned me about having my chickens. I had to get out of fear handling them (the past few years) and over into faith. The university would not test them for mycoplasma again this year. They told me over 98% of birds have it so don’t cull them…………….if I got more they would get it too. Keep in mind the NPIP standard for HEALTHY poultry and show birds does NOT test or care if they have Mycoplasma G or Mycoplasma S. Anything odd about this ya’ll??? I have one coop of showbirds that are all sneezing and chickens do NOT get colds. It is the MS, which is a disease that sets in from a respiratory disease they never get free of. It just goes dormant for awhile.

    Last year on a visit to TX the chems were as bad as they’ve been here lately. It took 4 weeks of wondering if I was gonna make it through that episode with breathing treatments etc. This is when I plugged in to JGLM (Curry Blake) to learn to minister healing and Jesus healed me. My doctor SAID MYCOPLASMA!

  21. Restoration is certainly needed but question is does trials come or have they come already before restoration commences. I know from My personal Life and struggles to keep family going that soon the stores that i prepared will Run dry if nothing happens. Hard work helgs but the body cannot maintain that pace indefinitely.

    1. After reading that new post, do not allow the enemy to twist something you have been led by the Holy Spirit to do for others!

      We also need to remember that our wealth is in the Kingdom of heaven and not on this earth!

    THE WAY OF THE CROSS
    I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death…Philippians 3:10

    Members of the persecuted church around the world have long understood the true significance of the cross of Christ. Pastor Allen Yuan in China, who spent almost twenty-two years in prison for his faith away from his large family, often talks about his sufferings over those years. But he invariably concludes with the statement, “They are nothing compared with the Cross!”

    The best known and loved pastor in China was Watchman Nee who was martyred in the early 1970’s. One of his elderly co-workers said recently, “If we call ourselves Christians—people following Christ—we should know what road we are taking. Christ went the way of the Cross. We should be prepared to do likewise.”

    A Canadian Christian aid worker was overwhelmed at the enormous need among the believers of southern Sudan. He recalls some children in a village wearing nothing but hand carved bone crosses fashioned in necklaces around their necks. He pointed to the cross on one emaciated child and questioned her with hand motions. She smiled broadly, took off the necklace and handed it to him.

    His thoughtful analysis is this: “That little act symbolizes the state of the suffering church in Sudan. With absolutely nothing in the way of material possessions, they still have the cross of Jesus Christ. They are prepared to share its hope – even though it means death.”

    Indian missionary and martyr, Sadhu Sundar Singh, wrote in his diary, “It is easy to die for Christ. It is hard to live for him. Dying takes only an hour or two but to live for Christ means to die daily [to self].”

    A thirty-two-year-old pastor works in upper Egypt, an area of intense persecution for Christians. He runs a day care centre, a medical clinic, a literacy training program as well as caring for the families of those in prison. He has been beaten twice by Muslim extremists and threatened daily with death. He knows they are trying to kill him…but he continues to daily bear his cross.

    A leading pastor in Egypt shared about a parishioner who tearfully came for counselling. Young people she had trained at her work were recently promoted to be her supervisors. She was passed over solely because she was a Christian. The pastor concluded, “That’s the cross we must bear here in Egypt!”

    The essence of these examples is that instead of exercising and asserting my will, I learn to co-operate with God’s wishes and comply with His will.

    RESPONSE: Today I will walk the way of the cross with Jesus and comply with His will.

    PRAYER: Pray for believers under severe persecution who today will take up their cross to follow Jesus.
