We Walk By Faith And Not By Fear!

If we truly know the Lord, we will not be living in fear.  We have a reverential fear of the Lord, that gives us strength in knowing that he is always with us and will never leave us or forsake us.

We all must be guided by the Holy Spirit and not our emotions.  We must follow what the Holy Spirit tells us individually and not be doing what others are doing; nor are we to agree with all words people are telling us.

Test all things, hold onto the truth and do not compromise.   It truly matters not who the prophetic words, teachings, preachings or dreams and visions come from.  If anything contradicts scripture or it’s leading people in fear, first pray and ask if it’s truly from the Lord.  We are and have been warned about what is to come, but it’s to stay focused each day and not planned struggles with fear!  People must rebuke others who are proclaiming words from the Lord, and he was not in them!  Again, not all dreams and visions are from the Lord either!  This is not a time to put our heads in the sand, but instead, stay focused on the Lord.

If the Holy Spirit prompts you to bring truth and correction to someone, and it is rejected; don’t get angry!  Most truly don’t want the truth.  Most don’t want to admit they might make mistakes!

Another word of warning!  If we believe that whatever we write and whatever we say is always 100% accurate with no need for correction, we are now being guided by pride!  Stay humble everyone.  We all need daily directions and often times corrections.  Yes, it doesn’t feel good to receive corrections, but we have to be open to them.

So many people are putting out words of “Fear” or suggesting to do this thing, that thing or the other thing.  What we all have to do is Repent!  What we all have to do is Love one another!

Pride tells people that if others disagree with them, they must not have prayed about it!  Put down the Pride and remain humble.  Again, we all must admit that we are human and truly make mistakes.  Sometimes people don’t pray about something before they say or write something;  pray for fellow believers so they remain strong.  We all need each other.

Just because somebody put out something from the Lord before, doesn’t mean it will always be that way!  Flesh gets in the way!  Again, test all things!  I know I make mistakes, but I ask the Lord to forgive me and direct/correct me.

Be on guard everyone, as we can expect friends family and neighbors to turn against us.  Fellow believers will turn against us if they are being held captive by something they don’t want to let go of!

If you know you are living in sin, you must repent and ask the Lord to set you free from it.  This may require many to step away from relationships that were never sanctioned by the Lord.  This is a reminder that the Lord is not going to change the definition of sin, to make your situation acceptable! It may require people to stop doing something that is causing them or others harm.  Again, the Lord will not ask you to sin to accomplish a task!

Sometimes strangers will do or say something that doesn’t sit well with us;  consider that they might be held captive by a demonic stronghold.

Yesterday was quite a struggle for me.  I was aggravated and annoyed most of the day.  Between seeing demons manifesting in strangers and pride coming forth from people; I had my fill of stuff!   I turned it all over to the Lord in prayer and eventually peace replaced the aggravations and annoyances.

This is repetitive, but we all need to hear it.  Please don’t bring up anyone’s past sins no matter what!  Satan is the one who does that!  Yes, we all have a past, but you don’t need to keep bringing up those things with people.  We are not to be bringing shame and guilt to people;  when we repent and truly ask Jesus to forgive us, ALL sins are wiped clean.  Again, repenting does not give us the freedom to live against the word of God!

1 John 4 (HCSB)

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.  But every spirit who does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist; you have heard that he is coming, and he is already in the world now.

You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.  They are from the world. Therefore what they say is from the world, and the world listens to them.  We are from God. Anyone who knows God listens to us; anyone who is not from God does not listen to us. From this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception.

Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, because God is love.  God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent His One and Only Son into the world so that we might live through Him.  Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.  Dear friends, if God loved us in this way, we also must love one another.  No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God remains in us and His love is perfected in us.

This is how we know that we remain in Him and He in us: He has given assurance to us from His Spirit.  And we have seen and we testify that the Father has sent His Son as the world’s Savior.  Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God—God remains in him and he in God.  And we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

In this, love is perfected with us so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment, for we are as He is in this world.  There is no fear in love; instead, perfect love drives out fear, because fear involves punishment. So the one who fears has not reached perfection in love.  We love because He first loved us.

If anyone says, “I love God,” yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For the person who does not love his brother he has seen cannot love the God he has not seen. And we have this command from Him: The one who loves God must also love his brother.

  1. Lots of great reminders…thank you James!

The subject of “bringing truth & correction” and also “self pride” are areas that I see and hear a lot of.

None of us should know when someone is prompt to bring correction to another. While doing so (in private) when prompt by the Holy Spirit must and should be obeyed, it also must be done in love & with grace. Bragging about doing so or sharing with others that you did is NOT of the Holy Spirit. If prompted (again by the Holy Spirit) to publicly correct (in love and with grace), still to brag about doing so would NOT be of the Holy Spirit.

I feel pride is a factor and a blind spot. Correction is needed, but so is love & grace.

    1. In agreement about everything being done out of Love, with grace to stand strong. Sometimes when we are prompted by the Holy Spirit to reach out to people in private, we will still get rejected even when it’s done out of Love. Praise God he will help us overcome rejections when we are doing something out of obedience and not by our flesh.

  2. Very true…and while rejection hurts, if we’re truly being led by the Holy Spirit and are doing so in love & grace we can have peace in the face of rejections. Praise God in all things!

Have a wonderful day in the Lord James~

  3. Some scripture to remind us that corrections are needed by the Lord, to keep us on the narrow path. Without corrections, we will slowly wander off course and head down the wide road.
If we reject corrections, we will not obtain our inheritance!
    Proverbs 15:10
    Discipline is harsh for the one who leaves the path;
the one who hates correction will die.

    Proverbs 15:14 (HCSB)
    A discerning mind seeks knowledge,
but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

  5. Please consider a review of Matthew 24. We can see much of this going on today with the False Preachers/Teachers/Prophets. Remember
these are words Jesus spoke about his return and the end of the age.
Many twist these words or leave them out so they can justify
their false doctrines! Jesus warned us that many will deceive us,
and yes that is happening today by numerous people claiming
    Matthew 24 (HCSB)

As Jesus left and was going out of the temple complex, His disciples came up and called His attention to the temple buildings. Then He replied to them, “Don’t you see all these things? I assure you: Not one stone will be left here on another that will not be thrown down!”

While He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached Him privately and said, “Tell us, when will these things happen? And what is the sign of Your coming and of the end of the age?”

Then Jesus replied to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you.
For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and they will deceive many.
You are going to hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, because these things must take place, but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
All these events are the beginning of birth pains.

“Then they will hand you over for persecution, and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of My name.
Then many will take offense, betray one another and hate one another.

Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.

Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold.
But the one who endures to the end will be delivered.
This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.

“So when you see the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place” (let the reader understand),
“then those in Judea must flee to the mountains!
A man on the housetop must not come down to get things out of his house. And a man in the field must not go back to get his clothes.
Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days!
Pray that your escape may not be in winter or on a Sabbath.

For at that time there will be great tribulation, the kind that hasn’t taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again!
Unless those days were limited, no one would survive.
But those days will be limited because of the elect.

“If anyone tells you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Over here!’ do not believe it!
False messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.
Take note: I have told you in advance. So if they tell you, ‘Look, He’s in the wilderness!’ don’t go out; ‘Look, He’s in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Wherever the carcass is, there the vultures will gather.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days:
    The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the celestial powers will be shaken.

“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: As soon as its branch becomes tender and sprouts leaves, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near—at the door!
I assure you: This generation will certainly not pass away until all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will never pass away.

“Now concerning that day and hour no one knows—neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son —except the Father only.

As the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be.
For in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah boarded the ark.
They didn’t know until the flood came and swept them all away.
So this is the way the coming of the Son of Man will be: Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and one left.
Therefore be alert, since you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. But know this: If the homeowner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into.
This is why you also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

“Who then is a faithful and sensible slave, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give them food at the proper time? That slave whose master finds him working when he comes will be rewarded. I assure you: He will put him in charge of all his possessions.

But if that wicked slave says in his heart, ‘My master is delayed,’ and starts to beat his fellow slaves, and eats and drinks with drunkards, that slave’s master will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not know. He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

  6. Revelation 21 (HCSB)

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea no longer existed.
I also saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

Then I heard a loud voice from the throne:
Look! God’s dwelling is with humanity, and He will live with them.
They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them
    and be their God.
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
    Death will no longer exist;
grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer,
because the previous things have passed away.

Then the One seated on the throne said, “Look! I am making everything new.” He also said, “Write, because these words are faithful and true.”
And He said to me, “It is done!
I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
I will give water as a gift to the thirsty from the spring of life.
The victor will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son.

But the cowards, unbelievers, vile, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars—their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”

Then one of the seven angels, who had held the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues, came and spoke with me: “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.” He then carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, arrayed with God’s glory. Her radiance was like a very precious stone, like a jasper stone, bright as crystal.
The city had a massive high wall, with 12 gates. Twelve angels were at the gates; the names of the 12 tribes of Israel’s sons were inscribed on the gates. There were three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west. The city wall had 12 foundations, and the 12 names of the Lamb’s 12 apostles were on the foundations.

The one who spoke with me had a gold measuring rod to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. The city is laid out in a square; its length and width are the same. He measured the city with the rod at 12,000 stadia. Its length, width, and height are equal. Then he measured its wall, 144 cubits according to human measurement, which the angel used. The building material of its wall was jasper, and the city was pure gold like clear glass.

The foundations of the city wall were adorned with every kind of precious stone:
    the first foundation jasper,
    the second sapphire,
    the third chalcedony,
    the fourth emerald,
    the fifth sardonyx,
    the sixth carnelian,
    the seventh chrysolite,
    the eighth beryl,
    the ninth topaz,
    the tenth chrysoprase,
    the eleventh jacinth,
    the twelfth amethyst.

The 12 gates are 12 pearls; each individual gate was made of a single pearl. The broad street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

I did not see a sanctuary in it, because the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its sanctuary. The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, because God’s glory illuminates it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it. Each day its gates will never close because it will never be night there. They will bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.
Nothing profane will ever enter it: no one who does what is vile or false, but only those written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Stand strong and keep seeking the Lord everyone. Some people may bring in doubt and fear because they are being guided by emotions and not the Holy Spirit. Pride has no place for our walks either.
