Correction Rejection!

Take everything I share to the Holy Spirit for truth.  I don’t claim to be a prophet, nor do I want any notoriety — give the praises to the Lord and not me.

Late yesterday, I was prompted to write down these words:

“Those Who Claim They Are Beyond Correction Will Perish, Unless They Repent!,  No Pride Will Enter My Fathers House!”.

Many years ago, parents use to take their children out to “The Woodshed” to give them corrections.  Most of the time those corrections also involved punishment, because they refused to accept prior corrections and continued on with the bad behavior.

If we as true believers think we are beyond correction, we have now entered a very dangerous area.  That is the area of “Pride”.   The Lord is reaching out to his followers in Love, and often time that includes corrections.   Are we ignoring what he is telling us?  He sometimes prompts others to give these words, but they are always done out of Love and not hatred.

If you keep ignoring the corrections coming from the Lord, you can expect punishment.  I’m referring to punishment while still alive, which is the Lords loving way to reach out to us before we slip into eternity!  Just like with any Judgments, the Lord gives redemption in them too.  Some people will not have the opportunity to repent, as they can lose their lives in an instant!

You truly can’t hold onto any sin, and expect to enter the Kingdom.  No form of rebellion will enter the Kingdom, and that includes holding tightly to unforgiveness/hatred/anger/foul language/gossip/slander and anything similar.

Remove the crown of Pride before it is too late.  Doesn’t matter how often you use the Holy Spirit gifts freely given to you, you will be sent to the Lake of Fire if you do not repent!   Nothing you have done on your own, has earned you any gifts.

Be very careful about charging others for wisdom you have been freely given.  Do not twist the scripture to justify your behavior;  Satan is one that does that and he will gladly give you the desires of your heart too!

This is not a slam against those who have been prompted by the Holy Spirit to produce books or movies, all of which involve expenses and much time.  The Lord is pleased when they offer alternative ways to reach others who are less fortunate, such as:  free downloadable books/ebooks, book sharing, video sharing, etc.  Trust in the Lord, as he will provide your needs when you obey what he is asking you to do for others.

We as believers should be open to continued growth;  else we become stagnant and start collection moss!

Colossians 3:1-11  (HCSB)

So if you have been raised with the Messiah, seek what is above, where the Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth.  For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God.  When the Messiah, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

Therefore, put to death what belongs to your worldly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry.  Because of these, God’s wrath comes on the disobedient, and you once walked in these things when you were living in them.  But now you must also put away all the following: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth.  Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old self with its practices  and have put on the new self.

You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator.  In Christ there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.

1 Corinthians 2:10-16 (HCSB)

Now God has revealed these things to us by the Spirit, for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God.  For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man that is in him? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who comes from God, so that we may understand what has been freely given to us by God.  We also speak these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people. But the unbeliever does not welcome what comes from God’s Spirit, because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to understand it since it is evaluated spiritually.

The spiritual person, however, can evaluate everything, yet he himself cannot be evaluated by anyone.  For who has known the Lord’s mind,
that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Proverbs 16:18 (HCSB)

Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall.

Isaiah 2:11 (HCSB)

Human pride will be humbled, and the loftiness of men will be brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted on that day.

Proverbs 3:11-12 (HCSB)

Do not despise the Lord’s instruction, my son,
and do not loathe His discipline;
for the Lord disciplines the one He loves,
just as a father, the son he delights in.

Ephesians 4:11-16 (HCSB)

And He personally gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers,  for the training of the saints in the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ,  until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of God’s Son, growing into a mature man with a stature measured by Christ’s fullness.  Then we will no longer be little children, tossed by the waves and blown around by every wind of teaching, by human cunning with cleverness in the techniques of deceit.  But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into Him who is the head—Christ.  From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part.

Matthew 10:5-10 (HCSB) (This part of scripture reminds us that we should be giving freely to others, what we have been given freely.  It’s also a reminder that if we trust in the Lord, he will provide what we need).

Jesus sent out these 12 after giving them instructions: “Don’t take the road leading to other nations, and don’t enter any Samaritan town.  Instead, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.  As you go, announce this: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those with skin diseases, drive out demons. You have received free of charge; give free of charge.  Don’t take along gold, silver, or copper for your money-belts.  Don’t take a traveling bag for the road, or an extra shirt, sandals, or a walking stick, for the worker is worthy of his food.

All are welcome here on the blog. Give all praises to the Lord, as he is worthy to be praised.

The virtual trash can is used to hold anything that brings in discord.   All of the following will get tossed in it:  foul language, slander(defaming someone’s character), gossip, prophecy that contradicts any scripture, false witness, false accusations, hostility, anger, malice, lies, strife, quarrels, debates, hatred, deceit, hypocrisy, and anything similar.  Bye Bye It Goes.

  1. Hebrews 12:5-7 ~ “…5And you have forgotten the exhortation that addresses you as sons: “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, or lose heart when He rebukes you. 6For the Lord disciplines the one He loves, and He chastises everyone He receives as a son.” 7Endure suffering as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?”

  2. Pagan Easter Origins. This was integrated into Christian traditions, with Pagan customs of worshiping “Eastra” (aka Ostara) — the Goddess of Spring.
Many “Christian” Holidays have Pagan traditions in them that were incorporated by the Early Catholic Church. Much of the traditions are based on Sun Worship, which is why you will find the Sun Symbols above many of the statues, relics, crosses and paintings.

There’s been some research done showing the possibility that Jesus actually died on a Wednesday and rose again on Saturday; which will not be believed by most people. Scripture tells us that 3 days and 3 nights passed (72 Hours passed). If Jesus dies on a Friday and Rises on Sunday — that is only 48 Hours.

    Matthew 12:40
For as Jonah was in the belly of the huge fish three days and three nights, so the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.

    John 11:9
“Aren’t there 12 hours in a day?” Jesus answered. “If anyone walks during the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

I know. In the past year or two I’ve been puzzled about this!

      1. It would be amazing if this Holiday was renamed “Resurection Day” and it be moved to Saturday; and totally removing the “Easter Bunny” traditions that I’m sure many of us enjoyed as kids.
