Sudden Destruction Coming – As In The Days Of Noah

Please read all of Matthew 24.

Matthew 24:36-44

36 “Now concerning that day and hour no one knows—neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son —except the Father only. 37 As the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. 38 For in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah boarded the ark. 39 They didn’t know until the flood came and swept them all away. So this is the way the coming of the Son of Man will be: 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and one left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and one left. 42 Therefore be alert, since you don’t know what day your Lord is coming. 43 But know this: If the homeowner had known what time the thief was coming, he would have stayed alert and not let his house be broken into. 44 This is why you also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Luke 17:26-36

26 “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be in the days of the Son of Man: 27 People went on eating, drinking, marrying and giving in marriage until the day Noah boarded the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. 28 It will be the same as it was in the days of Lot: People went on eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building. 29 But on the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all. 30 It will be like that on the day the Son of Man is revealed. 31 On that day, a man on the housetop, whose belongings are in the house, must not come down to get them. Likewise the man who is in the field must not turn back. 32 Remember Lot’s wife! 33 Whoever tries to make his life secure will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. 34 I tell you, on that night two will be in one bed: One will be taken and the other will be left. 35 Two women will be grinding grain together: One will be taken and the other left. 36 Two will be in a field: One will be taken, and the other will be left.”

Revelation 16:1-21

The First Bowl
Then I heard a loud voice from the sanctuary saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the seven bowls of God’s wrath on the earth.” 2 The first went and poured out his bowl on the earth, and severely painful sores broke out on the people who had the mark of the beast and who worshiped his image.

The Second Bowl
3 The second poured out his bowl into the sea. It turned to blood like a dead man’s, and all life in the sea died.

The Third Bowl
4 The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and the springs of water, and they became blood. 5 I heard the angel of the waters say:

You are righteous,
who is and who was, the Holy One,
for You have decided these things.
6 Because they poured out
the blood of the saints and the prophets,
You also gave them blood to drink;
they deserve it!
7 Then I heard someone from the altar say:

Yes, Lord God, the Almighty,
true and righteous are Your judgments.

The Fourth Bowl
8 The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun. He was given the power to burn people with fire, 9 and people were burned by the intense heat. So they blasphemed the name of God, who had the power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give Him glory.

The Fifth Bowl
10 The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues because of their pain 11 and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, yet they did not repent of their actions.

The Sixth Bowl
12 The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up to prepare the way for the kings from the east. 13 Then I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming from the dragon’s mouth, from the beast’s mouth, and from the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are spirits of demons performing signs, who travel to the kings of the whole world to assemble them for the battle of the great day of God, the Almighty.

15 “Look, I am coming like a thief. The one who is alert and remains clothed so that he may not go around naked and people see his shame is blessed.”

16 So they assembled them at the place called in Hebrew, Armagedon.

The Seventh Bowl

17 Then the seventh poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the sanctuary from the throne, saying, “It is done!” 18 There were flashes of lightning and rumblings of thunder. And a severe earthquake occurred like no other since man has been on the earth—so great was the quake.

19 The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the Great was remembered in God’s presence; He gave her the cup filled with the wine of His fierce anger. 20 Every island fled, and the mountains disappeared. 21 Enormous hailstones, each weighing about 100 pounds, fell from the sky on people, and they blasphemed God for the plague of hail because that plague was extremely severe.

Revelation 18:1-10

After this I saw another angel with great authority coming down from heaven, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor.

2 He cried in a mighty voice: It has fallen,
Babylon the Great has fallen!
She has become a dwelling for demons,
a haunt for every unclean spirit,
a haunt for every unclean bird,
and a haunt for every unclean and despicable beast.
3 For all the nations have drunk
the wine of her sexual immorality,
which brings wrath.
The kings of the earth
have committed sexual immorality with her,
and the merchants of the earth
have grown wealthy from her excessive luxury.
4 Then I heard another voice from heaven:

Come out of her, My people,
so that you will not share in her sins
or receive any of her plagues.
5 For her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
6 Pay her back the way she also paid,
and double it according to her works.
In the cup in which she mixed,
mix a double portion for her.
7 As much as she glorified herself and lived luxuriously,
give her that much torment and grief,
for she says in her heart,
“I sit as a queen; I am not a widow,
and I will never see grief.”
8 For this reason her plagues will come in one day—
death and grief and famine.
She will be burned up with fire,
because the Lord God who judges her is mighty.

9 The kings of the earth who have committed sexual immorality and lived luxuriously with her will weep and mourn over her when they see the smoke of her burning. 10 They will stand far off in fear of her torment, saying:  Woe, woe, the great city,

Babylon, the mighty city!  For in a single hour your judgment has come.

  1. I just read an excellent paper written by a lady who frequented Lindas blog about the third day.

Excellent paper and it mystifies me that majority of christianity still holds to pretrib rapture or lets say the community of believers who read their bibles frequently.

Her conclusion was that the socalled rapture will happen at the day of the Lord and its conclusive with scripture.

Any wrath prior to the day of the Lord is the devils or fallen humanitys outpouring of wrath and sin.

So we dont know the day or the hour but we can approximate season and general time somewhat.

    1. Stig, I’m still learning much about End Times in various Books of The Bible. I’m not sure where scripture references “Wrath Of Satan” other than when the Anti-Christ is in power, there will be much torment of Christians (those that refuse to take the Mark of the Beast) and a Global Delusion of Peace and Safety. It’s possible they use that term to refer to the Lord’s hand of protection being removed during the End Times?

I do believe there will be much to endure in the form of Judgments prior to The Lord returning — all for the purpose of gathering more into the kingdom. I also believe many will be destroyed before the Lord’s return; many will be killed and either go into the Lake of Fire or will be in heaven with others — waiting for the Lords return to gather those who have previously died in Christ and those of us who are still alive — then Wrath will occur.

I personally believe the Lord’s hand of protection has already been completely removed from the United States and possibly other places — all because the refusal to repent; many things will be allowed to happen that were previously held back (War, Famine, Earthquakes, Pestilence, Persecution…). For those who truly have faith and are doing what the Lord is asking of them… protection will be in place for his purpose.

I also believe the faith of many will be tested. What are people going to do when a family member is being held at gunpoint or other weapon — they may ask another family member to renounce their faith or watch their family be destroyed. We must have strong faith even during that type of example — it already happens in other parts of the world. We will not enter the Kingdom if we choose to renounce our faith in exchange of someone’s physical life.

      1. Great topic and post! I too am still learning learning.
I have areas I am asking Holy Spirit, for instance, I don’t understand what part it refers to as to not going back into the house….in other words, what will be going on, how will we know not to go back and grab a bag for instance…………

Also, protecting family or any others or them protecting you via weapons……..I see where some of the Christian women in the persecuted zones have taken up arms….. What does the Lord think of protecting others…………another area I am not clear on yet believe if I am listening He will give instructions at that time………..

      2. I agree with you here James. My husband and I were just talking about some of this last night, due to the news and its focus on the company that is moving forward with implanting their employees with the chip. They keep repeating this story. We feel there’s is nothing experimental about this project. They are leading the cause, knowing full well the outcome. That is, we will (at some point) be forced to take the chip.

So our conversation was focused on our position as Christians and what that will mean for us, how we will respond knowing persecution is ahead if we dont conform.

Much prayer is needed for strength and faith and trust…but the ability to hear and be directed by the Holy Spirit is key to our intended outcome, Gods will for us. We must stay focused on the Lord, His word and pray for direction and knowledge and understanding.

    Waiting for the Lord
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” Psalm 27:14

Hearing and doing God’s will are two important steps that often get confused as one step. However, these are two distinct processes. When we hear God’s voice, this is only 50 percent of the process. The next important step is to know when to move. It is one thing to hear; it is another to know when to act.

There was a time when the Lord showed me I was to write. This was a major change in my life from what I was doing. As I began to write, I attempted to find a publisher for my work. This became a real frustration. I encountered many false starts, and many well-intentioned people wanted to assist but their efforts resulted in further delays.

Finally, my wife asked me, “Os, have you completed the book you are working on?” “No,” I replied.

“When you complete the book, God will provide a publisher if He has called you to write. You need to complete the book.”

A few months later I was in discussions with a publisher about my work. They were going to be in my city and wanted to meet with me. The day we met they offered me a contract on my book. It also was the exact day that I had completed the book. I thought back to the words my wife had said.

Corrie ten Boom was a prisoner in the German Holocaust who lost her sister in the concentration camps. She tells a story about her father taking her on trains. She always wanted to get the ticket from her father ahead of time. He never gave her the ticket until she was about to get onto the train.

God is always on time. He is never late, and He is seldom early. Ask God for the wisdom to discern His will and His timing for the events in your life.

    1. Thank you Stig. Good info and still prayin for direction. I do know one thing, it all has to be 100% up to the Lords leading and my thoughts are we don’t want to miss an opportunity to witness or be a witness………..Holy Spirit will show in His time and in unique circumstances I’m sure……….
