The Lord’s Triumph And Reign

Zechariah 14

A day of the Lord is coming when your plunder will be divided in your presence.

2 I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem for battle. The city will be captured, the houses looted, and the women raped. Half the city will go into exile, but the rest of the people will not be removed from the city.

3 Then the Lord will go out to fight against those nations as He fights on a day of battle.

4 On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east. The Mount of Olives will be split in half from east to west, forming a huge valley, so that half the mountain will move to the north and half to the south.

5 You will flee by My mountain valley, for the valley of the mountains will extend to Azal. You will flee as you fled from the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. Then the Lord my God will come and all the holy ones with Him.

6 On that day there will be no light; the sunlight and moonlight will diminish.

7 It will be a day known only to Yahweh, without day or night, but there will be light at evening.

8 On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea, in summer and winter alike.

9 On that day Yahweh will become King over all the earth—Yahweh alone, and His name alone.

10 All the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem will be changed into a plain. But Jerusalem will be raised up and will remain on its site from the Benjamin Gate to the place of the First Gate, to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses.

11 People will live there, and never again will there be a curse of complete destruction. So Jerusalem will dwell in security.

12 This will be the plague the Lord strikes all the peoples with, who have warred against Jerusalem: their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths.

13 On that day a great panic from the Lord will be among them, so that each will seize the hand of another, and the hand of one will rise against the other.

14 Judah will also fight at Jerusalem, and the wealth of all the surrounding nations will be collected: gold, silver, and clothing in great abundance.

15 The same plague as the previous one will strike the horses, mules, camels, donkeys, and all the animals that are in those camps.

16 Then all the survivors from the nations that came against Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, and to celebrate the Festival of Booths.

17 Should any of the families of the earth not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord of Hosts, rain will not fall on them.

18 And if the people of Egypt will not go up and enter, then rain will not fall on them; this will be the plague the Lord inflicts on the nations who do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Booths.

19 This will be the punishment of Egypt and all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Booths.

20 On that day, the words HOLY TO THE LORD
will be on the bells of the horses. The pots in the house of the Lord will be like the sprinkling basins before the altar.

21 Every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holy to the Lord of Hosts. Everyone who sacrifices will come and take some of the pots to cook in. And on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord of Hosts.

  1. The splitting of the Mount of Olives reminds me of the parting of the Red Sea. Like that moment in Egypt, it is a just-in-time, miraculous deliverance from an encroaching army.

Then the Lord and his heavenly army will fight on behalf of Israel and deliver it. Jerusalem really is God’s city on earth. It is special to him and so are the descendants of Israel because of his promise to Abraham. The rest of us are grafted spiritually into this vine.

I can’t wait for this day to come and the next age to begin, the age of Yahweh becoming King over all the earth.

  3. New Video from Jack & Rexella Van Impe — 7/1/17 — They are hilighting stories of Persecution and they have no problems with stating what they think about “Islam”. They mention that they have “Entertainment” time aka “Beheading of Christians”.

    1. That sentence from Ali also jumped out at me. To me, it meant “do what I’ve called you to do and not what people around you consider important. Be a God-pleaser, not a men-pleaser.”

  4. Subject of “Soul Ties”.
Soul Ties is Christianese and not found in scripture.

The only tie between 2 people is when a man and woman get married, they are bound to each other for life.

We are in danger of following “New Age” demonic thinking when we talk about “Soul Ties”. Here’s an excerpt from the link below:

Note that Christians began using the term soul tie perhaps as early as the 1960s; but the term soul tie has been used regularly by non-Christian mystics and spiritualists since the mid-19th century to refer to spiritual connections between two or more people. For example, soul tie is part of the active working vocabulary of practitioners of astrology, theosophy, the New Age, and Eastern religions. Christians ought to be cautious about using the term soul tie around people who may be familiar with the non-Christian usage of the term.

  5. I’ve heard some people mention that their calling/gifts are worthy of being paid for by others? Really?
There’s much danger in Pride when we think that way! (I know I am being repetitive here).
Prayers needed for greater portions of Clarity, Discernment and Wisdom.

Let’s see what is says about that in scripture:

Romans 12:3 For by the grace given to me, I tell everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he should think. Instead, think sensibly, as God has distributed a measure of faith to each one.

    2 Corinthians 2:17
For we are not like the many who market God’s message for profit. On the contrary, we speak with sincerity in Christ, as from God and before God.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride comes before destruction, and an arrogant spirit before a fall.

    Mark 7:21-23
21 For from within, out of people’s hearts, come evil thoughts, sexual immoralities, thefts, murders,
22 adulteries, greed, evil actions, deceit, promiscuity, stinginess, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness.
23 All these evil things come from within and defile a person.”

    1 Corinthians 12:1-11
Now concerning what comes from the Spirit: brothers, I do not want you to be unaware.
2 You know that when you were pagans, you used to be led off to the idols that could not speak.
3 Therefore I am informing you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
4 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit.
5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord.
6 And there are different activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person.
7 A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial:
8 to one is given a message of wisdom
    through the Spirit,
to another, a message of knowledge
    by the same Spirit,
9 to another, faith by the same Spirit,
to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
10 to another, the performing of miracles,
    to another, prophecy,
    to another, distinguishing between spirits,
to another, different kinds of languages,
    to another, interpretation of languages.
11 But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.

    Philippians 1:9-11
9 And I pray this: that your love will keep on growing in knowledge and every kind of discernment,
10 so that you can approve the things that are superior and can be pure and blameless in the day of Christ,
11 filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ to the glory and praise of God.

    Proverbs 4:5
    Get wisdom, get understanding;
don’t forget or turn away from the words of my mouth.

    1 John 4:1-6
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
2 This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God.
3 But every spirit who does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist; you have heard that he is coming, and he is already in the world now.
4 You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
5 They are from the world. Therefore what they say is from the world, and the world listens to them.
6 We are from God. Anyone who knows God listens to us; anyone who is not from God does not listen to us. From this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception.

  6. Another topic that needs to be addressed is “Unequally Yoked”. I’ve heard many twist scripture to mean something other then what it clearly states in the Word of God! Scripture is referring to true believers in relationships/friendships/marriages with those of non-believers. That’s all it states! Ask the Lord via Holy Spirit to reveal to you the truth in his word. Do not believe everything that people state as their interpretation; remember that Satan can quote scripture and twist it. We may be asked to sever communications with specific people, but do that with guidance from the Holy Spirit. Be careful that we aren’t stopping communications because of unforgiveness in our hearts!

    2 Corinthians 6:14-16
14 Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?
15 What agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever?
16 And what agreement does God’s sanctuary have with idols? For we are the sanctuary of the living God, as God said:
I will dwell among them and walk among them,
and I will be their God, and they will be My people.
17 Therefore, come out from among them
    and be separate, says the Lord;
do not touch any unclean thing,
    and I will welcome you.
18 I will be a Father to you,
and you will be sons and daughters to Me,
    says the Lord Almighty.

    1. And these are only the ones we know of……….I watched a gang intervention video in the 90s. Stated if people knew the level of violence via gangs, no one would move to Lubbock TX so it is kept quiet………that was a long time ago…….
The spirit of murder/rage/lawlessness, and all that goes with it is widespread and growing rapidly……

  8. While watching videos about Jerusalem (Drive Thru History) with my family last weekend, the meaning of the last verse in Zechariah hit me like a flash. The last section of Zechariah is about how things will be during the Millennial Kingdom when Jesus Christ reigns from Jerusalem. The final verse always struck me as odd because it appears out of nowhere with nothing to explain it:

“And on that day there will no longer be a Canaanite in the house of the Lord of Hosts.”

In the video, the narrator talked about how the Jews of Israel captured Jerusalem in the Six Day War in June 1967, but agreed to give religious control of the Temple Mount to an Islamic trust because it was occupied by the sacred Dome of the Rock, Dome of the Chain and Al-Aqsa Mosque. Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Temple Mount is where the Second Temple and possibly the Temple of Solomon were built. In other words, in the location where there should stand a house of the Lord, there is instead a satanic temple occupied by pagans (Canaanites). After Jesus returns, according to Zechariah, this will no longer be the case!
