Walls Of Confinement In Your Heart

All of us must do what the Lord is asking of us in Obedience.   Some of us may be in temporary isolation, waiting for others to obey what the Lord is telling them; this does not mean that we must stay locked up in our houses.

One of the dangers of putting yourself in isolation by your own choosing, is that the enemy may bring about thoughts that are not from the Lord.   You may have a wall around your heart, and only allow a very tiny group of people to penetrate that.   This wall of protection can be formed from past hurts, and it’s possible we have not truly forgiven those that have trespassed against us.

Lets not be found guilty of telling others what to do, and not do that ourselves (“Do as I say and not as I do”).  (Hypocrite)

Let us not be found guilty of creating a “Private Club” that nobody else can be found worthy to enter (Selfish Ambitions).   Let the Lord guide us via the Holy Spirit on who we should associate with, who we need to pray for and anything else that is brought to our attention.

Let us also not be found guilty of creating our own doctrine for the purpose of getting people to send you money.  Telling people that your calling/gifts/talents from the Lord are worthy of being paid for, does not line up with scripture.  We are not to be haughty!

The Lord will prompt people to give with clarity on the amount and perfect timing. Pushing a tithing doctrine on someone, would make us no different from the pharisees. The Lord wants 100% of us and not just 10%.   He knows our hearts and our circumstances.  The Lord may prompt someone to give a huge portion of their income/savings, which goes beyond 10%

Some people may not have much in the way of financial resources, but they can give in so many other ways (helping the poor, visiting the sick, sharing a meal, offering prayer, bible studies, mentoring a new Christian, listening to those who simply need a person that cares enough to take time with them).   Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you in this area.   If we have been blessed by others, how great it would be to bless others with what we have been given.

Remember that there are numerous gifts of the Spirit and we all need to remember that there is Unity In The Body Christ; we all have our part to do.

If we encounter those that won’t let us in, respond to them in kindness and always show the characteristics of Christ.   Never respond with jealousy, anger or any other character that Jesus would not show.  http://seekthisjesus.com/60-character-traits-of-christ/

Galatians 5:16-26

16 I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit desires what is against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you don’t do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance—as I told you before—that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, we must also follow the Spirit.

26 We must not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

Galatians 6:1-10

Brothers, if someone is caught in any wrongdoing, you who are spiritual should restore such a person with a gentle spirit, watching out for yourselves so you also won’t be tempted.

2 Carry one another’s burdens; in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

3 For if anyone considers himself to be something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

4 But each person should examine his own work, and then he will have a reason for boasting in himself alone, and not in respect to someone else. 5 For each person will have to carry his own load.

6 The one who is taught the message must share all his good things with the teacher. 7 Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap, 8 because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. 9 So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.

Matthew 7:1-6

“Do not judge, so that you won’t be judged. 2 For with the judgment you use, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but don’t notice the log in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and look, there’s a log in your eye? 5 Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. 6 Don’t give what is holy to dogs or toss your pearls before pigs, or they will trample them with their feet, turn, and tear you to pieces.

Matthew 10:26

26 “Therefore, don’t be afraid of them, since there is nothing covered that won’t be uncovered and nothing hidden that won’t be made known.

1 Corinthians 12:1-31

Now concerning what comes from the Spirit: brothers, I do not want you to be unaware. 2 You know that when you were pagans, you used to be led off to the idols that could not speak. 3 Therefore I am informing you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

4 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are different activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person. 7 A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial:

8 to one is given a message of wisdom
through the Spirit,
to another, a message of knowledge
by the same Spirit,
9 to another, faith by the same Spirit,
to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
10 to another, the performing of miracles,
to another, prophecy,
to another, distinguishing between spirits,
to another, different kinds of languages,
to another, interpretation of languages.
11 But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.

12 For as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body—so also is Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. 14 So the body is not one part but many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I’m not a hand, I don’t belong to the body,” in spite of this it still belongs to the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I’m not an eye, I don’t belong to the body,” in spite of this it still belongs to the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But now God has placed each one of the parts in one body just as He wanted. 19 And if they were all the same part, where would the body be? 20 Now there are many parts, yet one body.

21 So the eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” Or again, the head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” 22 But even more, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those parts of the body that we think to be less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unpresentable parts have a better presentation. 24 But our presentable parts have no need of clothing. Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable, 25 so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. 26 So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it. 28 And God has placed these in the church:

first apostles, second prophets,
third teachers, next miracles,
then gifts of healing, helping,
managing, various kinds of languages.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets?
Are all teachers? Do all do miracles?
30 Do all have gifts of healing?
Do all speak in other languages?
Do all interpret?
31 But desire the greater gifts. And I will show you an even better way.

Matthew 25:31-46

31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, just as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on His right and the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.

35 For I was hungry
and you gave Me something to eat;
I was thirsty
and you gave Me something to drink;
I was a stranger and you took Me in;
36 I was naked and you clothed Me;
I was sick and you took care of Me;
I was in prison and you visited Me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You something to drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or without clothes and clothe You? 39 When did we see You sick, or in prison, and visit You?’

40 “And the King will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’ 41 Then He will also say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the Devil and his angels!

42 For I was hungry
and you gave Me nothing to eat;
I was thirsty
and you gave Me nothing to drink;
43 I was a stranger
and you didn’t take Me in;
I was naked
and you didn’t clothe Me,
sick and in prison
and you didn’t take care of Me.’
44 “Then they too will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or without clothes, or sick, or in prison, and not help You?’

45 “Then He will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for Me either.’

46 “And they will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Here’s an excellent article I found that talks about why Christians should never choose to isolate themselves from other believers:

  1. This blog hits a home Run with me since as long as i have been alive and breathing i have always kept away from people both believers and unbelievers. Hard to say what is the reason but i don feel non the worse for it. Even now i consider this to be in My books one of the higher forms of social interaction in My books.

    Gives time to think between answers without need to be spontaneous and non thinking in replies.

    As far as i see IT some people are just loners Even in the bible many would stay for prolonged times in the desert alone for praying and thinking. Nowadays its just easier to stay alone though i am cognisant of the fact once crisis lifts his head a social Network can save the day.

    But its me and the Lord has kept me this way for 42 years now and will see how long more.

    1. Stig,
      I’m the same way after moving to CO. All my fellowship is via online or phone. I did try several churches here and just never felt home like the ones back home.
      I did have a man invite me to his church and bible study last night. It’s not a denomination I care for but there are some moving in the Spirit. I’m praying and it’s a very small study. No to the church so far, but possibly the study tomorrow night. It would help if I didn’t get up a 3-4 AM………night events are sleep time…..

      They are studying using David Jeremiah’s material and I used to listen to him. Long ago. Really praying about this………..its so hard seeing what is going on and most of this denomination are snoozing…….

      1. All,
        Most of my fellowship is via this blog and on Skype. I do get out to have lunch with the Seniors over at our local center, so that in itself is a nice blessing. I desire for more in-person fellowship, but that is all in the Lord’s hands now. I know I can’t intrude on other gatherings without the Lord’s approval and from others hearing clearly from the Lord.

        I do know that there will be in-person fellowship here very very soon, as more gather here; all will be given tasks to perform by the Lord. I know this coming together will be to help other people and not just place ourselves in a cloistered situation like Monks or other similar groups.

      2. I also am a loner but it wasn’t always that way. It’s only in the past 3 years or so.

        I was always very social and busy with children, family, friends but I prefer the Lord’s company these days, although I will admit it gets lonely sometimes. Our children are grown with husbands, wives and their own children and either they’re very busy and not into spending time or not interested in the same things..i.e. the Lord. We do attend church but have very little contact with anyone. We’ve been going to this church for over a year and we don’t know anyone other then the pastor, his wife and the person who invited us to attend. It’s just that way, people want to come to church and leave…no time for relationships. There seems to be very little opportunity for socialization there. As we’ve become closer to the Lord it’s become increasingly harder to find others who love the Lord as we do. Old friends and extended family treat us different, as though we can’t have fun any longer. We’ve been ousted so to speak.

        When I am around those who are like minded there’s a lot of judging going on. If you don’t speak in tongues, something is wrong. If you are shy and would rather not pray in public, something’s wrong with you spiritually. I remember when I first began to paint and had explained that I’m not an artist or have ever been schooled in art, that my paintings were Holy Spirit led…It was announced to everyone that it can’t be the Holy Spirit. Somethings wrong with what you’re claiming …as though I wasn’t being truthful. The reasoning was, I didn’t speak in tongues at that time so I wasn’t baptized in the Holy Spirit. And at the time I was also very new to praying in public and very shy. So that was a problem as well. Point is…It’s hard to be who you are when others (Christians) are always judging and a lot of opinions. It’s so much easier to be alone and avoid being hurt.

        So this blog (my favorite) and a few others is a way to communicate and express my feelings, ask questions and learn from all of you about my most favorite person, Jesus Christ.

      3. It sounds likes all of us “remnant” Christians are feeling isolated . My wife and I talk about this a lot. We wish it weren’t this way but it just is. Even when we have social contact, in our minds and hearts we’re living in a separate world than the people we are relating to. There’s just a fundamental disconnect. They think everything is normal and we know it’s not.

        If we share some aspect of reality, it can quickly overwhelm or lead to rejection of the message and sometimes us. That’s why I like this blog so much. You all are awake! I can say what’s really on my mind without everyone plugging their ears and running away!

        The good news is there will be no isolation or estrangement in heaven. This world – especially now in the latter days of Babylon – is not our home. I think the isolation we feel now is a share of Christ’s suffering that will bring glory to the Lord.

  2. Yes Vicki exactly. People of silence and thought are usually the most heartful and loving people even though you cannot read them and how they behave on the surface.

    I also have noted this tendency to judge based on behaviour and quite frankly i dont care what you do publicly as long as your heart is right with God.

    This can be seen in a person without too many words. It can be felt just by observing their demeanor and at latest after changing some words.

    Jc is the soulful Arkansas cowboy blogging for the Lord. Sonshine keeps Finland from taking over Colorado by her brilliant insights as well as much more. Vicki paints the canvas beautifully and redeems Us spiritual quality towards the old continent.

    Mike is the cowboy from Idaho with the nothing but the truth attittude that was the the Us main upholding virtue in the old days. And it still lives there🤔

    And many others who write here. They say you cant judge a book by its cover but i can judge a blog by its bloggers 😆

    1. Stig, your continued participation on this blog is most appreciated and very helpful to many. You show kindness and characteristics of Christ that others are looking at. Many many others are watching our conversations to see if we are all just “talking the talk” or “walking the walk”. 🙂

      I can say the same for many of you that are regularly on this blog offering so much for other people: prayer requests, warnings, testimonies, dreams/visions — it’s all appreciated and let us give all the Glory to the Lord 🙂

  3. Update on that girl who was in the accident (copied from note I received)

    Looks like that girl we prayed for and many others are praying for is still alive.
    Also they got the swelling of the brain to go down.

    She might just pull through. I hear there are lots of people praying for her.

    1. How awesome is the Lord 🙂 Let us give him thanks for answering prayers for this girl. May the Lord use her as a testimony for his Love and Mercy — may she be used to help guide others to the truth 🙂

  4. From Bette Stevens — 6/21/17
    SHAME on America…….Are you listening to what I am saying…..(The Lord is speaking)

    You have brought dishonor upon your land,and not just on this land,but other lands as well..
    You have purged your own selves under the guise of bringing false claims,a heart full of corruption and evil,
    a mouth that speaks deceit,eyes that bring betrayal,hands that spill innocent blood,ears,that shut out the truth and are ready to pounce on every whim of doctrine……

    You ,O,America,speak with a forked tongue and will sway with the wind……You will slay those that come against you……
    Many of you speak as though I will allow this evil to continue on and on, .allowing it to fester and come into My Kingdom,but I tell you this day,that each idle word spoken,each idle thought,each lie,is counted in heaven and every tolerance you stand up for,I abhor…….

    You have dangled in the cup of indignation long enough……you who call yourselves spiritual and righteous,,,,

    I tell you now,humble yourselves,before I must do it…….Before a Holy God…….
    Repent and turn away from the wickedness now……..

    The cup of abomination is at your door…….The cup of judgments are at hand…….

    You do not know or understand the seriousness of all that is coming……and come it will……When you least expect it…..
    This will also be a time of refinement for my people,either you will stand and endure,or you will fall …….

    I give you a choice….You choose……..

    Please get serious with the Lord,there is a time of grave judgement already sealed for this nation…..It will escalate quickly……and the calm and peace that most
    people think are real will come most abruptly to an end……

    Examine yourselves,what the Lord is revealing that was in my spirit is that many are paying to much attention to worldly things and have taken their eyes off what God wants to say…..
    Be very careful…..The enemy is just waiting for a chance to catch you off guard……
    Take all these words to the Lord ……God bless you…..
    I will continue with a video and some other things coming soon…

  5. To support Mikes estrangement from the world comment above which was in a Mikean fashion to the point and so true i present Romans 12:2

    2And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

    But we also should remember that St Paul fought his own flesh until the end also as in who will free me from this body of death!

    It is that same groaning we have to go through the what i call sentence of physical life and prayerfully hope by the mercy of God that in our wake will follow people who are drawn into the current of salvation by our prayers and deeds who were inspired by Christ and the Holy word of God.

    Holy means set apart so by immersing yourself in the bible you already enter a world so much more than ours.

    But from Idaho to Finland and past and before welcome to salvation. Say yes to the thing that matters Jesus Christ!
