Their Hearts Have Grown Callous

I felt an urgency to post this today.   The title comes from a portion of a verse in Acts 28:27.  All of these flowed together.

Acts 28:27

For the hearts of these people have grown callous,

their ears are hard of hearing,

and they have shut their eyes;

otherwise they might see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
understand with their heart, and be converted,
and I would heal them.

Jeremiah 51:1-64    “God’s Judgment on Babylon”

This is what the Lord says:

I am about to stir up a destructive wind against Babylon
and against the population of Leb-qamai.

2 I will send strangers to Babylon
who will scatter her and strip her land bare,
for they will come against her
from every side in the day of disaster.
3 Don’t let the archer string his bow;
don’t let him put on his armor.
Don’t spare her young men;
completely destroy her entire army!
4 Those who were slain will fall in the land of the Chaldeans,
those who were pierced through, in her streets.
5 For Israel and Judah are not left widowed
by their God, the Lord of Hosts,
though their land is full of guilt
against the Holy One of Israel.

6 Leave Babylon;
save your lives, each of you!
Don’t perish because of her guilt.
For this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance—
He will pay her what she deserves.
7 Babylon was a gold cup in the Lord’s hand,
making the whole earth drunk.
The nations drank her wine;
therefore, the nations go mad.

8 Suddenly Babylon fell and was shattered.
Wail for her;
get balm for her wound—
perhaps she can be healed.
9 We tried to heal Babylon,
but she could not be healed.
Abandon her!
Let each of us go to his own land,
for her judgment extends to the sky
and reaches as far as the clouds.
10 The Lord has brought about our vindication;
come, let’s tell in Zion
what the Lord our God has accomplished.
11 Sharpen the arrows!
Fill the quivers!
The Lord has put it into the mind
of the kings of the Medes
because His plan is aimed at Babylon
to destroy her,
for it is the Lord’s vengeance,
vengeance for His temple.
12 Raise up a signal flag
against the walls of Babylon;
fortify the watch post;
set the watchmen in place;
prepare the ambush.
For the Lord has both planned and accomplished
what He has threatened
against those who live in Babylon.
13 You who reside by many waters,
rich in treasures,
your end has come,
your life thread is cut.
14 The Lord of Hosts has sworn by Himself:

I will fill you up with men as with locusts,
and they will sing the victory song over you.
15 He made the earth by His power,
established the world by His wisdom,
and spread out the heavens by His understanding.
16 When He thunders,
the waters in the heavens are in turmoil,
and He causes the clouds
to rise from the ends of the earth.
He makes lightning for the rain
and brings the wind from His storehouses.
17 Everyone is stupid and ignorant.
Every goldsmith is put to shame by his carved image,
for his cast images are a lie;
there is no breath in them.
18 They are worthless, a work to be mocked.
At the time of their punishment they will be destroyed.
19 Jacob’s Portion is not like these
because He is the One who formed all things.
Israel is the tribe of His inheritance;
Yahweh of Hosts is His name.
20 You are My battle club,
My weapons of war.
With you I will smash nations;
with you I will bring kingdoms to ruin.
21 With you I will smash the horse and its rider;
with you I will smash the chariot and its rider.
22 With you I will smash man and woman;
with you I will smash the old man and the youth;
with you I will smash the young man and the young woman.
23 With you I will smash the shepherd and his flock;
with you I will smash the farmer and his ox-team.
With you I will smash governors and officials.
24 “I will repay Babylon and all the residents of Chaldea for all their evil they have done in Zion before your very eyes.”

This is the Lord’s declaration.

25 Look, I am against you, devastating mountain—
this is the Lord’s declaration—
you devastate the whole earth.
I will stretch out My hand against you,
roll you down from the cliffs,
and turn you into a charred mountain.
26 No one will be able to retrieve a cornerstone
or a foundation stone from you,
because you will become desolate forever.
This is the Lord’s declaration.
27 Raise a signal flag in the land;
blow a ram’s horn among the nations;
set apart the nations against her.
Summon kingdoms against her—
Ararat, Minni, and Ashkenaz.
Appoint a marshal against her;
bring up horses like a swarm of locusts.
28 Set apart the nations for battle against her—
the kings of Media,
her governors and all her officials,
and all the lands they rule.

29 The earth quakes and trembles
because the Lord’s intentions against Babylon stand:
to make the land of Babylon an uninhabited desolation.
30 Babylon’s warriors have stopped fighting;
they sit in their strongholds.
Their might is exhausted;
they have become like women.
Babylon’s homes have been set ablaze,
her gate bars are shattered.
31 Messenger races to meet messenger,
and herald to meet herald,
to announce to the king of Babylon
that his city has been captured
from end to end.
32 The fords have been seized,
the marshes set on fire,
and the soldiers are terrified.
33 For this is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says:

Daughter Babylon is like a threshing floor
at the time it is trampled.
In just a little while her harvest time will come.
34 “Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon has devoured me;
he has crushed me.
He has set me aside like an empty dish;
he has swallowed me like a sea monster;
he filled his belly with my delicacies;
he has vomited me out,”
35 says the inhabitant of Zion;
“Let the violence done to me and my family be done to Babylon.
Let my blood be on the inhabitants of Chaldea,”
says Jerusalem.
36 Therefore, this is what the Lord says:

I am about to plead your case
and take vengeance on your behalf;
I will dry up her sea
and make her fountain run dry.
37 Babylon will become a heap of rubble,
a jackals’ den,
a desolation and an object of scorn,
without inhabitant.
38 They will roar together like young lions;
they will growl like lion cubs.
39 While they are flushed with heat, I will serve them a feast,
and I will make them drunk so that they revel.
Then they will fall asleep forever
and never wake up.
This is the Lord’s declaration.
40 I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter,
like rams together with male goats.
41 How Sheshach has been captured,
the praise of the whole earth seized.
What a horror Babylon has become
among the nations!
42 The sea has risen over Babylon;
she is covered with its turbulent waves.
43 Her cities have become a desolation,
a dry and arid land,
a land where no one lives,
where no human being passes through.

44 I will punish Bel in Babylon.
I will make him vomit what he swallowed.
The nations will no longer stream to him;
even Babylon’s wall will fall.
45 Come out from among her, My people!
Save your lives, each of you,
from the Lord’s burning anger.
46 May you not become cowardly and fearful
when the report is proclaimed in the land,
for the report will come one year,
and then another the next year.
There will be violence in the land
with ruler against ruler.
47 Therefore, look, the days are coming
when I will punish Babylon’s carved images.
Her entire land will suffer shame,
and all her slain will lie fallen within her.

48 Heaven and earth and everything in them
will shout for joy over Babylon
because the destroyers from the north
will come against her.
This is the Lord’s declaration.
49 Babylon must fall because of the slain of Israel,
even as the slain of all the earth fell
because of Babylon.
50 You who have escaped the sword,
go and do not stand still!
Remember the Lord from far away,
and let Jerusalem come to your mind.
51 We are ashamed
because we have heard insults.
Humiliation covers our faces
because foreigners have entered
the holy places of the Lord’s temple.
52 Therefore, look, the days are coming—
this is the Lord’s declaration—
when I will punish her carved images,
and the wounded will groan
throughout her land.
53 Even if Babylon should ascend to the heavens
and fortify her tall fortresses,
destroyers will come against her from Me.
This is the Lord’s declaration.
54 The sound of a cry from Babylon!
The sound of great destruction
from the land of the Chaldeans!
55 For the Lord is going to devastate Babylon;
He will silence her mighty voice.
Their waves roar like abundant waters;
the tumult of their voice resounds,
56 for a destroyer is coming against her,
against Babylon.
Her warriors will be captured,
their bows shattered,
for the Lord is a God of retribution;
He will certainly repay.
57 I will make her princes and sages drunk,
along with her governors, officials, and warriors.
Then they will fall asleep forever
and never wake up.
This is the King’s declaration;
Yahweh of Hosts is His name.
58 This is what Yahweh of Hosts says:

Babylon’s thick walls will be totally demolished,
and her high gates consumed by fire.
The peoples will have labored for nothing;
the nations will exhaust themselves only to feed the fire.
59 This is what Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah son of Neriah son of Mahseiah, the quartermaster, when he went to Babylon with King Zedekiah of Judah in the fourth year of Zedekiah’s reign. 60 Jeremiah wrote on one scroll about all the disaster that would come to Babylon; all these words were written against Babylon.

61 Jeremiah told Seraiah, “When you get to Babylon, see that you read all these words aloud. 62 You must say, ‘Lord, You have threatened to cut off this place so that no one will live in it—man or beast. Indeed, it will remain desolate forever.’ 63 When you have finished reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the middle of the Euphrates River. 64 Then say, ‘In the same way, Babylon will sink and never rise again because of the disaster I am bringing on her. They will grow weary.’”

The words of Jeremiah end here.

Joel 1:1-20

1 The word of the Lord that came to Joel son of Pethuel:

A Plague of Locusts
2 Hear this, you elders;
listen, all you inhabitants of the land.
Has anything like this ever happened in your days
or in the days of your ancestors?
3 Tell your children about it,
and let your children tell their children,
and their children the next generation.
4 What the devouring locust has left,
the swarming locust has eaten;
what the swarming locust has left,
the young locust has eaten;
and what the young locust has left,
the destroying locust has eaten.
5 Wake up, you drunkards, and weep;
wail, all you wine drinkers,
because of the sweet wine,
for it has been taken from your mouth.
6 For a nation has invaded My land,
powerful and without number;
its teeth are the teeth of a lion,
and it has the fangs of a lioness.
7 It has devastated My grapevine
and splintered My fig tree.
It has stripped off its bark and thrown it away;
its branches have turned white.
8 Grieve like a young woman dressed in sackcloth,
mourning for the husband of her youth.
9 Grain and drink offerings have been cut off
from the house of the Lord;
the priests, who are ministers of the Lord, mourn.
10 The fields are destroyed;
the land grieves;
indeed, the grain is destroyed;
the new wine is dried up;
and the olive oil fails.
11 Be ashamed, you farmers,
wail, you vinedressers,
over the wheat and the barley,
because the harvest of the field has perished.
12 The grapevine is dried up,
and the fig tree is withered;
the pomegranate, the date palm, and the apple—
all the trees of the orchard—have withered.
Indeed, human joy has dried up.
13 Dress in sackcloth and lament, you priests;
wail, you ministers of the altar.
Come and spend the night in sackcloth,
you ministers of my God,
because grain and drink offerings
are withheld from the house of your God.
14 Announce a sacred fast;
proclaim an assembly!
Gather the elders
and all the residents of the land
at the house of the Lord your God,
and cry out to the Lord.

The Day of the Lord
15 Woe because of that day!
For the Day of the Lord is near
and will come as devastation from the Almighty.
16 Hasn’t the food been cut off
before our eyes,
joy and gladness
from the house of our God?
17 The seeds lie shriveled in their casings.
The storehouses are in ruin,
and the granaries are broken down,
because the grain has withered away.
18 How the animals groan!
The herds of cattle wander in confusion
since they have no pasture.
Even the flocks of sheep suffer punishment.
19 I call to You, Lord,
for fire has consumed
the pastures of the wilderness,
and flames have devoured
all the trees of the countryside.
20 Even the wild animals cry out to You,
for the river beds are dried up,
and fire has consumed
the pastures of the wilderness.

1 Thessalonians 5:1-11

The Day of the Lord
About the times and the seasons: Brothers, you do not need anything to be written to you.

2 For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. 3 When they say, “Peace and security,” then sudden destruction comes on them, like labor pains come on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

4 But you, brothers, are not in the dark, for this day to overtake you like a thief. 5 For you are all sons of light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or the darkness. 6 So then, we must not sleep, like the rest, but we must stay awake and be serious. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, we must be serious and put the armor of faith and love on our chests, and put on a helmet of the hope of salvation.

9 For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we will live together with Him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.

Revelation 18

The Fall of Babylon the Great
18 After this I saw another angel with great authority coming down from heaven, and the earth was illuminated by his splendor. 2 He cried in a mighty voice:

It has fallen,
Babylon the Great has fallen!
She has become a dwelling for demons,
a haunt for every unclean spirit,
a haunt for every unclean bird,
and a haunt for every unclean and despicable beast.
3 For all the nations have drunk
the wine of her sexual immorality,
which brings wrath.
The kings of the earth
have committed sexual immorality with her,
and the merchants of the earth
have grown wealthy from her excessive luxury.
4 Then I heard another voice from heaven:

Come out of her, My people,
so that you will not share in her sins
or receive any of her plagues.
5 For her sins are piled up to heaven,
and God has remembered her crimes.
6 Pay her back the way she also paid,
and double it according to her works.
In the cup in which she mixed,
mix a double portion for her.
7 As much as she glorified herself and lived luxuriously,
give her that much torment and grief,
for she says in her heart,
“I sit as a queen; I am not a widow,
and I will never see grief.”

8 For this reason her plagues will come in one day—
death and grief and famine.
She will be burned up with fire,
because the Lord God who judges her is mighty.

The World Mourns Babylon’s Fall
9 The kings of the earth who have committed sexual immorality and lived luxuriously with her will weep and mourn over her when they see the smoke of her burning. 10 They will stand far off in fear of her torment, saying:

Woe, woe, the great city,
Babylon, the mighty city!
For in a single hour
your judgment has come.

11 The merchants of the earth will also weep and mourn over her, because no one buys their merchandise any longer— 12 merchandise of gold, silver, precious stones, and pearls; fine fabrics of linen, purple, silk, and scarlet; all kinds of fragrant wood products; objects of ivory; objects of expensive wood, brass, iron, and marble; 13 cinnamon, spice, incense, myrrh, and frankincense; wine, olive oil, fine wheat flour, and grain; cattle and sheep; horses and carriages; and slaves and human lives.

14 The fruit you craved has left you.
All your splendid and glamorous things are gone;
they will never find them again.
15 The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand far off in fear of her torment, weeping and mourning, 16 saying:

Woe, woe, the great city,
dressed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet,
adorned with gold, precious stones, and pearls,

17 for in a single hour
such fabulous wealth was destroyed!
And every shipmaster, seafarer, the sailors, and all who do business by sea, stood far off 18 as they watched the smoke from her burning and kept crying out: “Who is like the great city?” 19 They threw dust on their heads and kept crying out, weeping, and mourning:

Woe, woe, the great city,
where all those who have ships on the sea
became rich from her wealth,
for in a single hour she was destroyed.
20 Rejoice over her, heaven,
and you saints, apostles, and prophets,
because God has executed your judgment on her!

The Finality of Babylon’s Fall
21 Then a mighty angel picked up a stone like a large millstone and threw it into the sea, saying:

In this way, Babylon the great city
will be thrown down violently
and never be found again.
22 The sound of harpists, musicians,
flutists, and trumpeters
will never be heard in you again;
no craftsman of any trade
will ever be found in you again;
the sound of a mill
will never be heard in you again;
23 the light of a lamp
will never shine in you again;
and the voice of a groom and bride
will never be heard in you again.
All this will happen
because your merchants
were the nobility of the earth,
because all the nations were deceived
by your sorcery,
24 and the blood of prophets and saints,
and of all those slaughtered on earth,
was found in you.

    1. We watched The Final Prophecies and True Legends over this weekend. I’ve seen many documentarys and such on the giants. The True Legends one really made me think of just how many are going to be here. And, it’s only one part of the evil. I pray to be counted worthy. I pray we all are counted worthy.
      The Final Prophecies is a very good one to wake some up as to what time it is:)

      1. Sadly yes, though I feel more hope about some people responding after judgments begin in earnest. People will break one way (repentance) or the other (bitterness, fear, despair). I pray for repentance and faith.

    1. Excellent article Mike. I can see why his response would be as it was. His site has T support articles mixed with the opposite.
      When I ordered the movies I mentioned above, I watched them before sharing them for this very reason. They are excellent and in no way lean towards Trump saving the nation. I know he’s tied in with Tom Horn and many others. The giant one (True Legends) has SQ on it. I was pleasantly surprised and blessed at the way they were done.
      Never before has there been such a time to be on guard. And it’s going to take more and more discernment as time passes.

      1. Hi Sonshine, I watched the True Legends on Giants and agree it was well done. I do think giants are coming back at some point, like Linda’s word warns. For some reason this resonates with my spirit: If you encounter Giants, pray the Lord removes the breath of life from them!

    2. Come to think of it. When Moses grinded that golden calf to powder and forced the idolaters to eat he did something much more.

      Bible says all idols are devils. By forcing them to eat powdered gold he made them become one with their idol because powdered gold never leaves your digestive system.

      Id say in practicality those people became unclean from an Ot perspective.

      In the new testament eating food sacrificed to idols with knowledge is essentially idolatry.

      So by sharing table with a political idol and eating his feast is a cause for repentance as Mike laid out in his blog.

      Sometimes we forget that idolatry is more than bowing down to a statue or effigy!

  1. Mikes blog is spot on. We are seeing deception so thick in the air those without the Lords discernment will scrape up and eat with the wholegrain bread of lies.

    Butter of lies and bread of deceit can only be countered by butter of belief and bread of biblical word.

    As Mike said which will we eat? One is sumptious and delicious to eat atm the other is thin atm but nourishes for eternity. The fats of the first will vanish come judgement!

  2. In response to the word James……it is so very spot on. I’ve been praying for the Lord to point out areas in my heart and mind and show me more how to walk in His love. I got tricked by busy-ness in a way I didn’t see coming. It wasn’t the busy-ness that got me, (sneaky, stupid enemy and I should have known….) it was when it is time to sit with the Lord in the evening the pain got me and into distraction via the pain. I just want to praise the Lord and thank Him that He loves me enough to correct me and show the attacks when they come from a different route, even if it took a bit of time to “get it.”

    Grow me up in You Lord. I pray I/we all see all the attacks and strategy’s of the enemy coming before they happen and not after. Most of all Lord Jesus, I want Your love to show through me at all times, regardless of the circumstances. 1 Cor 13: 1-3
    13 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. 2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,[a] but have not love, it profits me nothing.

    1. I’m sure many of us know people (friends, family, neighbors) that are not saved. Most know that many who attend a church are not “truly saved”.
      May all of us keep as many people as possible in our prayers at this time for continued conviction and for salvation — this should include enemies and those following false religions, false doctrines and those under the influence of a religious spirit or jezebel spirit. So many are coming under Satanic False Worship as the enemy mimics gifts from the Holy Spirit! I’ve watched many videos where people are crying out in agony, when they claim to be under the influence of the Holy Spirit!

    2. I agree James. Last night a wave of grieving came over me also. After reading Glynda’s post this morning, it never ceases to amaze me at the work Holy Spirit does in all. Yesterday was a time of off the wall pain (in body)and yet in the midst of it, I was able to minister to a lady here. Holy Spirit did it all and deep conviction with some healing began for her. That was ALL God!

      There was a period of deep grieving over feeling I had missed something this past week +, and something big. Well, I had. It was a grieving over souls and over some God has planted right by me. It came out as busy-ness yet in it all, over the last 24 hours a realization that it was in preparation for something the Lord has had me doing. A grieving over what the nation(s) doesn’t see as a whole that is approaching rapidly. Then a sweet sleep without pain. Thank you Jesus!

      There’s a release in knowing today will be much the same. Busy-ness, yet in all the busy-ness I had to take time with the Lord to look over where my heart has been if that makes sense. It’s been in preparing for someone(s) else, it’s been a time of grieving that was interrupted when anger hit over knowing I was not physically able to correct all the damage caused by this person. I realized how the enemy had used a person to begin to tear it all down. The person wasn’t aware, the person is a babe in Christ. One with deep wounds and one He has His hands on. I don’t know if the person will ever grow up socially, by the worlds standards past a child. One thing that hit me again while dealing with all this, we are to become as a child……

      In this world our Father sees us as His children. Yet, we are to be the ones who are leading the babes. It’s funny to me that all in all, amidst all that is going on, how becoming as a child is more important than growing up. A simple faith. Not yet entangled in the truth of the evil going on, but a knowing it is there, then just trusting our Father with it all. It comes so easy to those who are truly like a child!

    Here’s the scripture referenced in this warning (with sub-titles)

    Jeremiah 50

    Prophecies against Babylon
    The word the Lord spoke about Babylon, the land of the Chaldeans, through Jeremiah the prophet:
    2 Announce to the nations; proclaim and raise up a signal flag;
    proclaim, and hide nothing. Say: Babylon is captured;
    Bel is put to shame; Marduk is devastated;
    her idols are put to shame; her false gods, devastated.
    3 For a nation from the north will come against her;
    it will make her land desolate. No one will be living in it—
    both man and beast will escape.
    4 In those days and at that time— this is the Lord’s declaration—
    the Israelites and Judeans will come together,
    weeping as they come, and will seek the Lord their God.
    5 They will ask about Zion, turning their faces to this road.
    They will come and join themselves to the Lord
    in an everlasting covenant that will never be forgotten.
    6 My people are lost sheep; their shepherds have led them astray,
    guiding them the wrong way in the mountains.
    They have wandered from mountain to hill;
    they have forgotten their resting place.
    7 All who found them devoured them.
    Their adversaries said, “We’re not guilty;
    instead, they have sinned against the Lord,
    their righteous grazing land,
    the hope of their ancestors, the Lord.”
    8 Escape from Babylon; depart from the Chaldeans’ land.
    Be like the rams that lead the flock.
    9 For I will soon stir up and bring against Babylon
    an assembly of great nations from the north country.
    They will line up in battle formation against her;
    from there she will be captured.
    Their arrows will be like those of a skilled warrior
    who does not return empty-handed.
    10 The Chaldeans will become plunder;
    all Babylon’s plunderers will be fully satisfied.
    This is the Lord’s declaration.
    11 Because you rejoice, because you sing in triumph—
    you who plundered My inheritance—
    because you frolic like a young cow treading grain
    and neigh like stallions,
    12 your mother will be utterly humiliated;
    she who bore you will be put to shame.
    Look! She will lag behind all the nations—
    a dry land, a wilderness, an Arabah.
    13 Because of the Lord’s wrath, she will not be inhabited;
    she will become a desolation, every bit of her.
    Everyone who passes through Babylon
    will be horrified and scoff because of all her wounds.
    14 Line up in battle formation around Babylon,
    all you archers! Shoot at her! Do not spare an arrow,
    for she has sinned against the Lord.
    15 Raise a war cry against her on every side!
    She has thrown up her hands in surrender;
    her defense towers have fallen; her walls are demolished.
    Since this is the Lord’s vengeance, take out your vengeance on her;
    as she has done, do the same to her.
    16 Cut off the sower from Babylon
    as well as him who wields the sickle at harvest time.
    Because of the oppressor’s sword,
    each will turn to his own people, each will flee to his own land.

    The Return of God’s People
    17 Israel is a stray lamb, chased by lions.
    The first who devoured him was the king of Assyria;
    the last one who crushed his bones
    was Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
    18 Therefore, this is what the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “I am about to punish the king of Babylon and his land just as I punished the king of Assyria.
    19 I will return Israel to his grazing land,
    and he will feed on Carmel and Bashan;
    he will be satisfied in the hill country of Ephraim and of Gilead.
    20 In those days and at that time—
    this is the Lord’s declaration—
    one will search for Israel’s guilt, but there will be none,
    and for Judah’s sins, but they will not be found,
    for I will forgive those I leave as a remnant.

    The Invasion of Babylon
    21 “Go against the land of Merathaim,
    and against those living in Pekod.
    Put them to the sword; completely destroy them—
    this is the Lord’s declaration—
    do everything I have commanded you.
    22 The sound of war is in the land—
    a great destruction.
    23 How the hammer of the whole earth
    is cut down and smashed!
    What a horror Babylon has become
    among the nations!
    24 Babylon, I laid a trap for you, and you were caught,
    but you did not even know it.
    You were found and captured
    because you fought against the Lord.
    25 The Lord opened His armory
    and brought out His weapons of wrath,
    because it is a task of the Lord God of Hosts
    in the land of the Chaldeans.
    26 Come against her from the most distant places.
    Open her granaries; pile her up like mounds of grain
    and completely destroy her. Leave her no survivors.
    27 Put all her young bulls to the sword;
    let them go down to the slaughter.
    Woe to them, because their day has come,
    the time of their punishment.

    The Humiliation of Babylon
    28 “There is a voice of fugitives and those who escape
    from the land of Babylon
    announcing in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God,
    the vengeance for His temple.
    29 Summon the archers to Babylon, all who string the bow;
    camp all around her; let none escape.
    Repay her according to her deeds;
    just as she has done, do the same to her,
    for she has acted arrogantly against the Lord,
    against the Holy One of Israel.
    30 Therefore, her young men will fall
    in her public squares; all the warriors will perish in that day.
    This is the Lord’s declaration.
    31 Look, I am against you, you arrogant one—
    this is the declaration of the Lord God of Hosts—
    because your day has come, the time when I will punish you.
    32 The arrogant will stumble and fall
    with no one to pick him up.
    I will set fire to his cities, and it will consume everything around him.”

    The Desolation of Babylon
    33 This is what the Lord of Hosts says:
    Israelites and Judeans alike have been oppressed.
    All their captors hold them fast; they refuse to release them.
    34 Their Redeemer is strong; Yahweh of Hosts is His name.
    He will fervently plead their case
    so that He might bring rest to the earth
    but turmoil to those who live in Babylon.
    35 A sword is over the Chaldeans—
    this is the Lord’s declaration—
    against those who live in Babylon,
    against her officials, and against her sages.
    36 A sword is against the diviners,
    and they will act foolishly.
    A sword is against her heroic warriors,
    and they will be terrified.
    37 A sword is against his horses and chariots
    and against all the foreigners among them,
    and they will be like women.
    A sword is against her treasuries,
    and they will be plundered.
    38 A drought will come on her waters,
    and they will be dried up.
    For it is a land of carved images,
    and they go mad because of terrifying things.
    39 Therefore, desert creatures will live with hyenas,
    and ostriches will also live in her.
    It will never again be inhabited
    or lived in through all generations.
    40 Just as God demolished Sodom and Gomorrah
    and their neighboring towns—
    this is the Lord’s declaration—
    so no one will live there;
    no human being will even stay in it
    as a temporary resident.

    The Conquest of Babylon
    41 Look! A people comes from the north.
    A great nation and many kings will be stirred up
    from the remote regions of the earth.
    42 They grasp bow and javelin.
    They are cruel and show no mercy.
    Their voice roars like the sea,
    and they ride on horses,
    lined up like men in battle formation
    against you, Daughter Babylon.
    43 The king of Babylon has heard reports about them,
    and his hands fall helpless.
    Distress has seized him—
    pain, like a woman in labor.
    44 “Look, it will be like a lion coming from the thickets of the Jordan to the watered grazing land. Indeed, I will chase Babylon away from her land in a flash. I will appoint whoever is chosen for her. For who is like Me? Who will summon Me? Who is the shepherd who can stand against Me?”

    45 Therefore, hear the plans that the Lord has drawn up against Babylon and the strategies He has devised against the land of the Chaldeans: Certainly the flock’s little lambs will be dragged away; certainly the grazing land will be made desolate because of them. 46 At the sound of Babylon’s conquest the earth will quake; a cry will be heard among the nations.
    Isaiah 34

    The Judgment of the Nations
    You nations, come here and listen;
    you peoples, pay attention!
    Let the earth hear, and all that fills it,
    the world and all that comes from it.
    2 The Lord is angry with all the nations—
    furious with all their armies.
    He will set them apart for destruction,
    giving them over to slaughter.
    3 Their slain will be thrown out,
    and the stench of their corpses will rise;
    the mountains will flow with their blood.
    4 All the heavenly bodies will dissolve.
    The skies will roll up like a scroll,
    and their stars will all wither
    as leaves wither on the vine,
    and foliage on the fig tree.

    The Judgment of Edom
    5 When My sword has drunk its fill in the heavens,
    it will then come down on Edom
    and on the people I have set apart for destruction.
    6 The Lord’s sword is covered with blood.
    It drips with fat,
    with the blood of lambs and goats,
    with the fat of the kidneys of rams.
    For the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah,
    a great slaughter in the land of Edom.
    7 The wild oxen will be struck down with them,
    and young bulls with the mighty bulls.
    Their land will be soaked with blood,
    and their soil will be saturated with fat.
    8 For the Lord has a day of vengeance,
    a time of paying back Edom
    for its hostility against Zion.
    9 Edom’s streams will be turned into pitch,
    her soil into sulfur;
    her land will become burning pitch.
    10 It will never go out—day or night.
    Its smoke will go up forever.
    It will be desolate, from generation to generation;
    no one will pass through it forever and ever.
    11 The desert owl and the screech owl will possess it,
    and the great owl and the raven will dwell there.
    The Lord will stretch out a measuring line
    and a plumb line over her for her destruction and chaos.
    12 No nobles will be left to proclaim a king,
    and all her princes will come to nothing.
    13 Her palaces will be overgrown with thorns;
    her fortified cities, with thistles and briers.
    She will become a dwelling for jackals,
    an abode for ostriches.
    14 The desert creatures will meet hyenas,
    and one wild goat will call to another.
    Indeed, the screech owl will stay there
    and will find a resting place for herself.
    15 The sand partridge will make her nest there;
    she will lay and hatch her eggs
    and will gather her brood under her shadow.
    Indeed, the birds of prey will gather there,
    each with its mate.
    16 Search and read the scroll of the Lord:
    Not one of them will be missing,
    none will be lacking its mate,
    because He has ordered it by my mouth,
    and He will gather them by His Spirit.
    17 He has ordained a lot for them;
    His hand allotted their portion with a measuring line.
    They will possess it forever;
    they will dwell in it from generation to generation.

  4. As I was sharing warnings and scripture this morning, my computer crashed. I know that sharing the truth makes the enemy mad — it was just a temporary issue and the computer was restored without any issues 🙂

  5. This is a copy/paste from a dear friend. Her 4 year old daughter died of cancer over 20 years ago:
    I had a vivid dream of Catherine coming to me so real like..Time to go is what I heard her say…I have not dreamed of her since she died

    1. Sonshine, sounds like your dream could be interpreted as “Be Ready” for judgments to come as many have been warning about. Ask the Lord for interpretation, it’s possible it may also be related to a move?

      1. James, it was from a friend. She has very prophetic dreams. This was the first one she had about her daughter who died 20 years ago at the age of 4. It’s an awesome dream for her to have and also for us waiting

  6. Please keep this person in your prayers. (name being kept anonymous). The Lord can bring clarity to someone before their last minute of life; he can do anything such as touch them while they are unconscious — someone could accept the Lord as their savior during that time as well. There is nothing to difficult for the Lord 🙂
    John 3:16-18

    16 “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.
    17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
    18 Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God.

    Copy of Request I Received:

    Pray now please. Emergency …………a friend of mine has a son and the girl he is with just had
    Such a tragic car wreck she is on her deathbed right now. Pray for a witness to come to her
    And that her eyes open and she can say the salvation prayer for she is in ER or critical care and they
    Say she probably won’t make it.

    Pray for her recovery and for the will of the Father to be done in her life and not satan’s desire to take
    Her soul to hell. She is not saved.
    Thank you.

  7. Sharing this, after I attended a simple seminar at the Senior Center here.
    They are offering a “Free” captioned telephone for those that are hard of hearing/deaf. The one they claim is 100% free was CapTel Model 2400i. The Lady stated that there is no monthly fee for any model chosen, but the free version requires you to have existing dial tone and internet service with whatever provider is in your area.

    Someone may know people that can benefit from this.

  8. We been doing gospel work in my city now for soon 15 years and during that time we have had very little clearly visible conversions to adhere to the faith and gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    I said to myself many times that only thing that will wake people up is crisis on a personal level. And hate to say it but i have been shown right too many times.

    In my case it was spiritual emptiness that lead me to Christ back in the days.

    Praying for this accident victim

    1. Stig, I agree that the Lord uses these situations for his purpose. He loves everyone so much, that’s why Judgments that are coming are needed. During these times, it may open the eyes/ears of those that have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
