We Walk By Faith, Not By Sight

Walk by faith, not by sight is something for all of us to keep in mind. This is a re-blog of an older post

2 Corinthians 5

Walk_By_Faith_1Walk_By_Faith2Our Future after Death
For we know that if our temporary, earthly dwelling is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal dwelling in the heavens, not made with hands. 2 Indeed, we groan in this body, desiring to put on our dwelling from heaven, 3 since, when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. 4 Indeed, we groan while we are in this tent, burdened as we are, because we do not want to be unclothed but clothed, so that mortality may be swallowed up by life. 5 And the One who prepared us for this very purpose is God, who gave us the Spirit as a down payment. 6 So, we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we walk by faith, not by sight, 8 and…

  1. Another good post:) I’m taking breaks between weed eating, pulling and re-planting the part of my garden the freeze/snow killed. Faith says I can finish this despite what my body is arguing over LOL.

ON a sidenote I have to post this! It may be one of the only things I share several more times on FB:

    1. I miss my church that spent much time at the altar and at prayer. Nothing though compares to this and I pray He helps get me there before the stuff hits and if not, during………I fall so short.

    2. Thanks for sharing that video Sonshine. Excellent example of how the Holy Spirit moves in places that seem impossible. Amazing how they all come together for very long periods of time and under uncomfortable conditions.

Many people don’t realize that Christianity is illegal in China and other countries. I believe they do allow some worship services, but they have to be sanctioned/registered by the state.

      1. Yes they allow some churches but i estimate the parishioners there are quite heavily employed by the government. As in cloak&dagger stuff.

In the Soviet union priests duty was to tell if the confessional was not bugged what he heard to authorities.

Christianity and government dont mix ever and if christianity becomes government it turns to Vatican or Islam. Thats how it is!

  2. Id say im no model mainstream christian but the title of the blog confirms how i see life. Countless times i have seen pieces fall in place in my life when things look less good.

I can say i trust the bible when it says the Lord will take care of us. I have personally seen it so many times and im no Daniel and his spiritual entourage by a longshot. I just trust the Lord!

  3. New Audio from Glynda — 6/9/17 — She talks about how she just moved from the house she was at here in Arkansas to another one. Glynda only lives a few towns over from where I am. She speaks of the constant power outages, which I will agree with. We have them here quite often. She also talks about the difficulties of finding reliable maintenance people — again I know that is very true here. She talks about how many of the rentals are not in good shape, and the property owners plus property managers don’t put much concern into them.

The one I am in is fairly well maintained and they have fixed most of the items I have brought to their attention.

There’s a reason why she is here along with several other people and myself. Everyone was prompted to come here at different times. I truly did not know any of these people — only through blogs or from another forum from someone else.

I’m at peace here, as I know the Lord is in control. I give him all of my concerns and he always provides a way of living in peace no matter what your situation. Even when I discover something evil has happened in this area, I pray over the situation and am left in peace.

Being here is for the Lord’s purpose. We will all have a job to do for the Lord very soon.

    1. I have never met Glynda, but may be prompted by her to do so later at some point.

One thing noted — she is in need of prayer. When we get tired or frustrated, we tend to dwell on the negative things we encounter — That’s when we know it’s time to turn over everything to the Lord in prayer. Praise the Lord no matter what is currently going on — his timing is always perfect.

  4. Colossians 3:1-11

So if you have been raised with the Messiah, seek what is above, where the Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on what is above, not on what is on the earth. 3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with the Messiah in God. 4 When the Messiah, who is your life, is revealed, then you also will be revealed with Him in glory.

5 Therefore, put to death what belongs to your worldly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, God’s wrath comes on the disobedient, 7 and you once walked in these things when you were living in them.

8 But now you must also put away all the following: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self. You are being renewed in knowledge according to the image of your Creator. 11 In Christ there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave and free; but Christ is all and in all.

  6. It’s been a couple days of heavy work here. Sunshine comes out and I get into high gear, then have to rest up afterwards lol.
There’s something about working outside where I feel the Lords presence steadily and just converse with Him longer lengths of time than indoors. No people, or phones to interrupt lol. And admiring His creation sure never gets old.
I remember driving by a pasture in Texas, just a turnrow from our house that had been leased for cattle. Something I had never noticed before…….odd because I was born and raised on farms. The CRP grass had been grazed down by the cattle.
On each clump of formerly tall grass there were a few tall stems left. The cattle ate around the grass that would naturally seed the ground again. For some reason that just amazes me. Cattle have large noses, mouths, slobber all over, have several stomachs and yet leave these tiny blades of seed bearing grass out of a clump………even if the pasture has been grazed down.

    1. For me, this is what scripture comes to mind after watching that video. It’s related to being called out, prior to the Lord’s return. I believe this scripture states that many will flee from where they are during the Great Tribulation. I DO NOT interpret this to mean a “Pre-Tribulation Rapture”, which is what many are expecting.

I believe the Lord has prompted many to move in preparation for what is about to come. I also believe that those seeking the Lord, will know where they can find refuge and a place to share God’s word.

Take everything shared to the Lord for confirmation.

      Matthew 24:15-28

15 “So when you see the abomination that causes desolation, spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place” (let the reader understand, 16 “then those in Judea must flee to the mountains! 17 A man on the housetop must not come down to get things out of his house. 18 And a man in the field must not go back to get his clothes. 19 Woe to pregnant women and nursing mothers in those days! 20 Pray that your escape may not be in winter or on a Sabbath. 21 For at that time there will be great tribulation, the kind that hasn’t taken place from the beginning of the world until now and never will again! 22 Unless those days were limited, no one would survive. But those days will be limited because of the elect.

23 “If anyone tells you then, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Over here!’ do not believe it! 24 False messiahs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, even the elect. 25 Take note: I have told you in advance. 26 So if they tell you, ‘Look, He’s in the wilderness!’ don’t go out; ‘Look, He’s in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. 27 For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever the carcass is, there the vultures will gather.
