Repent Of All Sin!

It’s important that we repent of all sin.  Ask the Lord to help reveal to you anything that you have not repented from.  There are people under the delusion that certain sin is fine, because of their close walk with the Lord.  

I sometimes have to remain quiet when I listen to people claim that the following sin is fine in the eyes of God, but it makes me cringe!  I wait on the Lord’s perfect timing to guide my tongue for the reason of bringing out the truth.  We are never to Judge or condemn someone!  Sharing these examples is not meant to hurt anyone out there, I am just bringing out things that need attention with guidance from the Holy Spirit as people tell me things.

• God told them to marry someone, when they have divorced somebody else for a reason other than sexual immorality!
• God told them to divorce/separate from someone other that a reason of sexual immorality!
• Homosexuality is fine, as long as you are a preacher, go to church, read the Bible or pray!
• A man and woman living together “shacking up” is fine as long as they pray!
• When I die and go to heaven, I am going to slap the person that did me wrong when I see them there!
• I don’t Gossip, but did you hear what so and so did/said?

The important thing to remember is that sin is sin and we need to repent from all of it! We are never to judge anyone else and always display the characteristics of Christ.   Let the Holy Spirit lead you in this area, as you may be confronted by someone that is struggling with these issues.  Let the Lord guide your tongue.  We are not to be like the pharisees.

Remember that we need to repent from sin often, whether it’s from thought or action. There’s no such thing as once saved always saved.  We must not consider ourselves “saved in sin” (continuing in sin and repenting), but aim for “Saved from Sin” (striving to never repeat the sin we have repented for).

Nobody can make it into the Kingdom of Heaven with unrepented sin, hate in their heart, or unforgiveness.  No matter what anyone has done to you, you must forgive them; this is not an option.

The only sin we are not forgiven from is Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.  I don’t claim to totally understand what that means, but for me some of that includes the following

• Telling people that Satan did something that the Holy Spirit Did (giving credit to Satan for something that the Holy Spirit Did).  Telling people they are listening to demons, when in fact they are hearing directly from the Holy Spirit.
• Blaming the Holy Spirit for something Satan did.  Some may blame the Holy Spirit for false signs and wonders.
• Refusing to repent from sin before you die (after you have received conviction from the Holy Spirit) because you consider yourself the “God of your own life”.
• Anyone going beyond what is written in the word.  We are not to add to or take away from the word.  God never changes.  What he told the prophets in the days of old, should not contradict what he is telling those in modern times.  Anything someone tells us as: (“A word from the Lord, The Holy Spirit Said, My Spirit Gave Me This Message, God said this, Jesus said this, etc.) — needs to be able to back up those claims with scripture.  If what they say contradicts the written word, you know then it is not from God!  This does not mean we are to attack those with the gift of prophecy, but pray that their messages are not released until they have confirmation, correct timing, correct audience and interpretation.  If prophecy does not come to pass, then it never came from the Lord.  This does not mean that they are “Sheep in Wolves Clothing” or “False Prophets” as those types are the ones with deception in their hearts.  Anyone giving false prophecy does need to repent.  Anyone passing out prophetic words for deceptive purposes or personal gain, may find that they are guilty of “Blasphemy Against The Holy Spirit”.

Matthew 13:10-16

John 9:39-41

39 Jesus said, “I came into this world for judgment, in order that those who do not see will see and those who do see will become blind.”

40 Some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these things and asked Him, “We aren’t blind too, are we?”

41 “If you were blind,” Jesus told them, “you wouldn’t have sin. But now that you say, ‘We see’—your sin remains

Matthew 12:31-32

31 Because of this, I tell you, people will be forgiven every sin and blasphemy, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven.

32 Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him. But whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the one to come.

1 John 5

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Messiah has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him.

2 This is how we know that we love God’s children when we love God and obey[a] His commands.

3 For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden,

4 because whatever has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world: our faith.

11 And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

12 The one who has the Son has life. The one who doesn’t have the Son of God does not have life.

13 I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

14 Now this is the confidence we have before Him: Whenever we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

15 And if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked Him for.

16 If anyone sees his brother committing a sin that does not bring death, he should ask, and God will give life to him—to those who commit sin that doesn’t bring death. There is sin that brings death. I am not saying he should pray about that.

17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin that does not bring death.

18 We know that everyone who has been born of God does not sin, but the One who is born of God keeps him, and the evil one does not touch him.

19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world is under the sway of the evil one.

20 And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know the true One. We are in the true One—that is, in His Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

21 Little children, guard yourselves from idols.

14 “For if you forgive people their wrongdoing, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well. 15 But if you don’t forgive people, your Father will not forgive your wrongdoing.

Luke 6:37-38

Do Not Judge
37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you; a good measure—pressed down, shaken together, and running over—will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.”

Mark 11:25-26

25 And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you your wrongdoing. 26 But if you don’t forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your wrongdoing.”

Ephesians 4:32

32 And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.
