A Few Examples of “Faith” in the Holy Bible.  There are many more to discover.

Habakkuk 2:4 Look, his ego is inflated; he is without integrity. But the righteous one will live by his faith.

Matthew 6:30 If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t He do much more for you—you of little faith?

Matthew 8:26 But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, you of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea. And there was a great calm.

Matthew 9:29 Then He touched their eyes, saying, “Let it be done for you according to your faith!”

Matthew 14:31 Immediately Jesus reached out His hand, caught hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?”

Matthew 16:8 Aware of this, Jesus said, “You of little faith! Why are you discussing among yourselves that you do not have bread?

Matthew 17:20 “Because of your little faith,” He told them. “For I assure you: If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered them, “I assure you: If you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you tell this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.

Mark 10:52 “Go your way,” Jesus told him. “Your faith has healed you.” Immediately he could see and began to follow Him on the road.

Luke 18:42 “Receive your sight!” Jesus told him. “Your faith has healed you.”

Acts 15:9 He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.

Acts 26:18 to open their eyes so they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that by faith in Me they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified.’

Romans 1:16 [ The Righteous Will Live by Faith ] For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is God’s power for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek.

Romans 5:1  Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 13:13 Now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.

2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight,

2 Corinthians 13:5 Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith. Examine yourselves. Or do you yourselves not recognize that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless you fail the test.

Galatians 3:24-26   The law, then, was our guardian until Christ, so that we could be justified by faith. 25 But since that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian, 26 for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:8 For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift

Ephesians 6:16 In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Philippians 3:9 and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ—the righteousness from God based on faith.

Colossians 1:23 if indeed you remain grounded and steadfast in the faith and are not shifted away from the hope of the gospel that you heard. This gospel has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and I, Paul, have become a servant of it.

1 Thessalonians 5:8 But since we belong to the day, we must be serious and put the armor of faith and love on our chests, and put on a helmet of the hope of salvation.

1 Timothy 1:5 Now the goal of our instruction is love that comes from a pure heart, a good conscience, and a sincere faith.

1 Timothy 4:1  Now the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will depart from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and the teachings of demons,

2 Timothy 1:13  Hold on to the pattern of sound teaching that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.

Philemon 1:5 because I hear of your love and faith toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints.

Hebrews 11:1-3    Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen. 2 For our ancestors won God’s approval by it. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by God’s command, so that what is seen has been made from things that are not visible.

James 1:5-7   Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith without doubting. For the doubter is like the surging sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.

1 Peter 5:8-10  Be serious! Be alert! Your adversary the Devil is prowling around like a roaring lion, looking for anyone he can devour. 9 Resist him and be firm in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are being experienced by your fellow believers throughout the world. 10 Now the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little.

1 John 5:3-5   For this is what love for God is: to keep His commands. Now His commands are not a burden, 4 because whatever has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world: our faith. 5 And who is the one who conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

Jude 19-21  These people create divisions and are unbelievers, not having the Spirit.
20 But you, dear friends, as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, expecting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life.

Revelation 14:11-13  and the smoke of their torment will go up forever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or anyone who receives the mark of his name.

12 This demands the perseverance of the saints, who keep God’s commands and their faith in Jesus.”  13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write: The dead who die in the Lord from now on are blessed.” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “let them rest from their labors, for their works follow them!”

  2. Faith is the most important, and i know that i ought to have more of it. Praying for more! But the bible also say that we have different gifts of the spirit and Jc clearly has that of teaching! Probably more also but that is a great gift!

The bible says we ought to strive for the greatest gift which is prophecy, how many of you prophecy daily? You say Stig duh i dont do that???? But you do if you consider this passage from the bible even why writing here.

10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Rev 19:10

Like that or ettäs sillatti like we say in Finland, ponder that people! Write to your hearts content and tell of Jesus and get of the greatest gift PROPHECY…..Finland signing out.

  3. Whatever Gift or Gifts we receive, Thank the Lord for them. We all have our part to do in the Body Of Christ. Here’s the scriptural reference:

    1 Corinthians 12

    Diversity of Spiritual Gifts
12 Now concerning what comes from the Spirit: brothers, I do not want you to be unaware. 2 You know that when you were pagans, you used to be led off to the idols that could not speak. 3 Therefore I am informing you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

4 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are different activities, but the same God activates each gift in each person. 7 A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person to produce what is beneficial:

8 to one is given a message of wisdom through the Spirit,
to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit,
9 to another, faith by the same Spirit, to another, gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another, the performing of miracles,
to another, prophecy, to another, distinguishing between spirits,
to another, different kinds of languages, to another, interpretation of languages. 11 But one and the same Spirit is active in all these, distributing to each person as He wills.

Unity Yet Diversity in the Body
12 For as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body—so also is Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. 14 So the body is not one part but many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I’m not a hand, I don’t belong to the body,” in spite of this it still belongs to the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I’m not an eye, I don’t belong to the body,” in spite of this it still belongs to the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But now God has placed each one of the parts in one body just as He wanted. 19 And if they were all the same part, where would the body be? 20 Now there are many parts, yet one body.

21 So the eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” Or again, the head can’t say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” 22 But even more, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those parts of the body that we think to be less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unpresentable parts have a better presentation. 24 But our presentable parts have no need of clothing. Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable, 25 so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other. 26 So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.

27 Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it. 28 And God has placed these in the church:
first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, next miracles,
then gifts of healing, helping, managing, various kinds of languages.
29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all do miracles?
30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in other languages?
Do all interpret? 31 But desire the greater gifts. And I will show you an even better way.

  4. Daily Devotional — 10/19/16

We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. Psalm 33:20

The hope of most female refugees from North Korea fades away shortly after arriving in China. Most do not want to flee to South Korea, because then they lose all contact with their family, and they are not in the position to support them anymore. And if they go to another place in China, it is only a matter of time before they are caught by either the police or human traffickers. And who knows what happens to them then?

So, is all hope lost? “No, there is hope,” says co-worker Kun-so. She picks up a Bible. “And that hope is written in this Book. For in it are profound promises. There is a heaven. Jesus loves you. All tears will be wiped away. No more death, no more pain. The Bible can even be the key to a better life now.

“But we have to bring the hard, difficult, biblical messages to the surface. The Bible says that you have to bless those who persecute you. It means you have to love the husband that abuses you. I have seen improvement when a North Korean woman was able to love instead of hate. And I direct the women to how God feels about them, how precious they are in His eyes, about what Jesus Christ did for them on Calvary. Thanks to His sacrifice there is hope. I can point the women to the day that will come eventually. The day that our Lord will wipe away every tear from their eyes, the day that death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

“After a while, we try to teach the women to forgive their Chinese husbands for their abuse. We tell them Jesus commands us to love our husbands. I know this is not easy to do. But we have seen that some women found the strength to do loving things for their husbands, and as a result slowly the husband started to change.”

Moon lost her child through a forced abortion, only days before her due date. Moon still lives with the Chinese family responsible for killing her child. But she also came into contact with a female co-worker. The worker took care of Moon as best as she could. She befriended her, prayed with her and explained about God and His love for her.

“I will be forever grateful,” shares Moon. “Thanks to you, I came into contact with God. As I learn more and more about Him through your Bible studies, I am grateful that this wonderful Being loves me. China and North Korea have not changed. I am still a person with no rights, and there is always the threat that the police will find me and send me back to North Korea.

“My situation is terrible, humanly speaking. But I feel like I am living in a whole new world, just because I know God. And I know my baby is with Him.”

    When hope fades, faith emerges.

RESPONSE: Today I will place my hope in the Lord and trust Him to change the situations around me.

PRAYER: Pray for North Korean refugees—especially women—who suffer severely often losing hope. Pray that they will indeed find hope in the Lord.

  5. Here’s another funny change they made to King James Version.

Does anyone know what a Sardine Stone is? Are you Serious?

    Revelation 4:3
3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

This is what it should say:

3 And He that sat thereon was to look upon like a jasper and a sardius stone; and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in appearance like unto an emerald.

    1. Thanks for posting that comment. Few Christians are willing to talk about this bizarre issue.

We have nothing to fear, because Jesus is the Word and the Spirit leads us into all truth! Devil can’t touch that.

    2. Online etymology wordbook copied IT here!

(Rev. 4:3, R.V., “sardius;” Heb. ‘odhem; LXX., Gr. sardion, from a root meaning “red”), a gem of a blood-red colour. It was called “sardius” because obtained from Sardis in Lydia. It is enumerated among the precious stones in the high priest’s breastplate (Ex. 28:17; 39:10). It is our red carnelian.

      1. What you state Stig, backs up why I brought this error out in the open. You state what the Bible was originally referring to — my point exactly. Thanks for sharing that information.

  6. Generally speaking here as im a non native English speaker, critisizing the Kjv as a modern English speaker is like being a teen and calling your grandparents geezers and old timers! Older language is rooted in more cultures and has connections to things we cannot relate to. Even with study we dont have a common point to touch on.

Consider in nature each generation is slightly weakened compared to the last! Greatness in the past cannot be denied descendants WHO ride on the shoulder of that greatness! Cherish your Kjv dear americans and brits because i can tell that bar anything written by the hand of God himself like Moses stone tablets you never can refute the ageless truth the Kjv contains.

I dont want to come off as a Kjv only guy because i do check on other bibles from time to time but nothing has ever swayed. Me from the Kjv!

Thx people in Love towards all here

  7. Important that we seek the Lord to increase our Clarity, Discernment and Wisdom. Also good that we take advantage of numerous versions online while you still can. It helps bring clarity to something that may not make sense.

Recent modifications have taken place in numerous versions. This is why it is so important to stay alert. Once the True Word is written in your heart, in can’t be changed.

I will continue to bring attention to modifications that I find in any version I happen to be looking at. Again, I don’t have years of experience — I’m not a Biblical Scholar — I don’t have one preferred Bible Version over another — I don’t despise any versions.

I just happen to find more recent modifications in the Original King James Version over others.

What I share here is to gain understanding and not for debate purposes.

    Blessings Everyone.

  8. I think that the NIV has been the one that has been most tampered with.

Also there is a false Bible called “Queen James Version.”
It’s white with a rainbow on it. It’s the “gay Bible” if I’m not mistaken.

    1. Good to know Peggy. For the most part, I use Bible Gateway and pull up many versions at the same time. It’s an awesome way to gain understanding.

I don’t know if the changes that I have been mentioning are online only? I know the New King James study bible I have here at home had some of the modifications I mentioned. My personal bibles are all fairly new, as I’ve only been back with the Lord since early 2015.

Other people out there may have much older copies in their possession.

      1. Hmm whose to tell as printing is computerized nowadays what changes are wrought to the book coming out of the print. Grandmas bible might be the answer soon or old copies found on the attic!

And more as a side note about the sardine stone is this. You can see shades of Tyndale english in that word. Old english they usually had this E coming to the end. Id say Scandinavian influence or Germanic as those languages influenced english quite strongly in the middle ages.

Its Good Jc that you are vigilant, it does you credit!

  9. Special Note ** I will be writing up a very short post related to what some label as an “Open Vision”. I am waiting for Clarification on part of it. The other part brought me directly to scripture.

I don’t want to guess on the part I’m waiting about, but will go ahead and release what I have. I received confirmation on the scriptural part from other people around the same time that this happened.

I have another post that has been finished for about a week now, but it’s the first one I’ve had where I felt it needed to be held for The Lord’s Timing. I prayed on that one and I kept hearing what I thought was “hold” — “more will be added”.
