18 Woe to you who long for the Day of the Lord! What will the Day of the Lord be for you? It will be darkness and not light.
19 It will be like a man who flees from a lion only to have a bear confront him.
He goes home and rests his hand against the wall only to have a snake bite him.
20 Won’t the Day of the Lord be darkness rather than light,
even gloom without any brightness in it?
21 I hate, I despise your feasts! I can’t stand the stench of your solemn assemblies.
22 Even if you offer Me your burnt offerings and grain offerings,
I will not accept them; I will have no regard for your fellowship offerings of fattened cattle. 23 Take away from Me the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps. 24 But let justice flow like water, and righteousness, like an unfailing stream.
29 “Immediately after the tribulation of those days: The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not shed its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the celestial powers will be shaken. 30 “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 He will send out His angels with a loud trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
17 And it will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out My Spirit on all humanity; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.
18 I will even pour out My Spirit on My male and female slaves in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19 I will display wonders in the heaven above and signs on the earth below:
blood and fire and a cloud of smoke.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood
before the great and remarkable Day of the Lord comes.
21 Then everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
1 Corinthians 1:8 He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you will be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.
1 Corinthians 5:4-5
4 When you are assembled in the name of our Lord Jesus with my spirit and with the power of our Lord Jesus, 5 turn that one over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 5:2 For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.
2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
1 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to Him: We ask you, brothers, 2 not to be easily upset in mind or troubled, either by a spirit or by a message or by a letter as if from us, alleging that the Day of the Lord has come. 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.
2 Peter 3:10 But the Day of the Lord will come like a thief; on that day the heavens will pass away with a loud noise, the elements will burn and be dissolved, and the earth and the works on it will be disclosed.
12 Then I saw Him open the sixth seal. A violent earthquake occurred; the sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair; the entire moon became like blood; 13 the stars of heaven fell to the earth as a fig tree drops its unripe figs when shaken by a high wind; 14 the sky separated like a scroll being rolled up; and every mountain and island was moved from its place. 15 Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the military commanders, the rich, the powerful, and every slave and free person hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. 16 And they said to the mountains and to the rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of the One seated on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb, 17 because the great day of Their wrath has come! And who is able to stand?”
13 Then one of the elders asked me, “Who are these people robed in white, and where did they come from?” 14 I said to him, “Sir, you know.” Then he told me: These are the ones coming out of the great tribulation. They washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
