Christ The Power & Wisdom Of God

Hosea 4:1-14

God’s Case against Israel
Hear the word of the Lord, people of Israel, for the Lord has a case
against the inhabitants of the land: There is no truth, no faithful love,
and no knowledge of God in the land!
2 Cursing, lying, murder, stealing, and adultery are rampant;
one act of bloodshed follows another.

hosea4_3
3 For this reason the land mourns, and everyone who lives in it languishes,
along with the wild animals and the birds of the sky; even the fish of the sea disappear.
4 But let no one dispute; let no one argue, for My case is against you priests.
5 You will stumble by day; the prophet will also stumble with you by night.
And I will destroy your mother.

hosea4_6
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.  Because you have rejected knowledge, I will reject you from serving as My priest. Since you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your sons.
7 The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me.
I will change their honor into disgrace.
8 They feed on the sin of My people; they have an appetite for their transgressions.
9 The same judgment will happen to both people and priests.
I will punish them for their ways and repay them for their deeds.
10 They will eat but not be satisfied; they will be promiscuous but not multiply.
For they have abandoned their devotion to the Lord.
11 Promiscuity, wine, and new wine take away one’s understanding.

wooden_idols
12 My people consult their wooden idols, and their divining rods inform them.
For a spirit of promiscuity leads them astray; they act promiscuously
in disobedience to their God.
13 They sacrifice on the mountaintops, and they burn offerings on the hills,
and under oaks, poplars, and terebinths, because their shade is pleasant.
And so your daughters act promiscuously and your daughters-in-law commit adultery.
14 I will not punish your daughters when they act promiscuously
or your daughters-in-law when they commit adultery,
for the men themselves go off with prostitutes and make sacrifices with cult prostitutes.
People without discernment are doomed.

Christ the Power and Wisdom of God
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but it is God’s power to us who are being saved. 19 For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and I will set aside the understanding of the experts.
20 Where is the philosopher? Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this age? Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish? 21 For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of the message preached. 22 For the Jews ask for signs and the Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles. 24 Yet to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is God’s power and God’s wisdom, 25 because God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength.

1 Corinthians 2

Paul’s Proclamation
When I came to you, brothers, announcing the testimony of God to you, I did not come with brilliance of speech or wisdom. 2 For I didn’t think it was a good idea to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. 4 My speech and my proclamation were not with persuasive words of wisdom but with a powerful demonstration by the Spirit, 5 so that your faith might not be based on men’s wisdom but on God’s power.

Spiritual Wisdom
6 However, we do speak a wisdom among the mature, but not a wisdom of this age, or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. 7 On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined before the ages for our glory. 8 None of the rulers of this age knew this wisdom, for if they had known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But as it is written: What eye did not see and ear did not hear, and what never entered the human mind— God prepared this for those who love Him.  10 Now God has revealed these things to us by the Spirit, for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 11 For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man that is in him? In the same way, no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who comes from God, so that we may understand what has been freely given to us by God. 13 We also speak these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual things to spiritual people. 14 But the unbeliever does not welcome what comes from God’s Spirit, because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to understand it since it is evaluated spiritually. 15 The spiritual person, however, can evaluate everything, yet he himself cannot be evaluated by anyone. 16 For who has known the Lord’s mind, that he may instruct Him?  But we have the mind of Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:5-17

The Role of God’s Servants
5 What then is Apollos? And what is Paul? They are servants through whom you believed, and each has the role the Lord has given. 6 I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. 7 So then neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. 8 Now the one planting and the one watering are one in purpose, and each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

gods_coworkers

9 For we are God’s coworkers. You are God’s field, God’s building. 10 According to God’s grace that was given to me, I have laid a foundation as a skilled master builder, and another builds on it. But each one must be careful how he builds on it. 11 For no one can lay any other foundation than what has been laid down. That foundation is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on that foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw, 13 each one’s work will become obvious, for the day will disclose it, because it will be revealed by fire; the fire will test the quality of each one’s work. 14 If anyone’s work that he has built survives, he will receive a reward. 15 If anyone’s work is burned up, it will be lost, but he will be saved; yet it will be like an escape through fire. 16 Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s sanctuary and that the Spirit of God lives in you? 17 If anyone destroys God’s sanctuary, God will destroy him; for God’s sanctuary is holy, and that is what you are.

1 Corinthians 4:10-13

i_am_weak_but_thou_are_strong

10 We are fools for Christ, but you are wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are dishonored! 11 Up to the present hour we are both hungry and thirsty; we are poorly clothed, roughly treated, homeless; 12 we labor, working with our own hands. When we are reviled, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; 13 when we are slandered, we respond graciously. Even now, we are like the world’s garbage, like the dirt everyone scrapes off their sandals.

  1. A Watchman on the Wall – Posted: 13 Sep 2016 12:13 AM PDT

“With pen and pad write what you hear. Do not be hesitant, neither question nor doubt. Believe that I AM that I AM. Trust Me even when you don’t understand. Trust Me. The coming days are full of deceit and misrepresentation. Little truth remains in the world today. The message spoken, shout it from the rooftops. Child, this is the last hour. You must be strong to speak what you hear and know to be truth. Continually be on guard for the evil one desires your voice to be silenced. Be vigilant in your rebuke of evil. Give no place to the enemy. His hatred of you is limitless, his tricks masterfully designed to bring doubt and fear. Trust Me…” (This paragraph, perhaps personally directed to me, I felt led to share. Please seek God for clarity and direction. As with everything you read on this blog, take it to the LORD in prayer).

“America is on the threshold of extension. Grievous sins have destroyed the foundation and the framework of your society. The gates of hell will not prevail against My people. But they will try. The force behind hatred is strong and satan has great hatred for the chosen of God. His plans for the destruction of many are broad, craftily designed, subtly implemented. Many will fall for his schemes. NYC, Detroit, Chicago; already under his power. Darkness will rest over your nation. Spreading like wildfire it will consume many. What befalls a nation consumed by sin will be evident soon.

A great earthquake will soon hit in central America. (Soon for the LORD and soon for man are seldom the same. I ask if this was Central America or mid America. He again said it is ‘central America. Prayers for both would be wise). Many lives will be lost. Warnings to repent and return to the God of all creation have gone unheeded, now the time has come. No more will you wait to see My anger poured out, for you will see and be ashamed for your sin of silence. You will be shaken by all that is coming.

War rages in the heart of man. A war between good and evil, right and wrong. Man is tossed too and fro by many things; things that tickle their fancy without lasting benefit. Man who has been given so much, now has so much to loose.

You have come to a time of decision oh nations of wickedness. September will bring the rise and fall of many as calamity and chaos sweep across the nations. My Spirit will also sweep across the nations, speaking to those with ears to hear. Many will hear and repent, many more will ignore My Spirit.
The rise and fall of many in September. September, a time of soul searching. Great obstacles to overcome in the weeks ahead. Changes coming. Will you burn brightly or be extinguished as a candle in the wind?”

I was also given Isaiah 26 to read. Please take time to read all of Chapter 26 and prayerfully consider the words of Isaiah and what the LORD would have you do in the times in which we live.

‘You will keep in perfect peace
    those whose minds are steadfast,
    because they trust in you.
    Trust in the Lord forever,
for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal…’ Isaiah 26:3-4

    1. J.C.,
Perhaps you or your sister could contact ALI for clarification.
I know Linda has contacted her for clarification several times (as stated on her blog posts).

In my way of seeing this. Central America (with the capital “C”) is the map you have posted above.

BUT, God told Ali “central America” (with the lower-case “c”) which means the middle of the United States.

“A great earthquake will soon hit in central America. You will be shaken by all that is coming.”

      1. We have all been warned about the New Madrid Fault, which is in Missouri and maybe it could be triggered by something that starts in Central America? I agree — prayers for both are wise. Bette Stevens shared something (from another person) that has confirmed what so many others have warned — New Madrid Quake will split apart the United States. Others have had visions of the New Madrid Fault becoming a huge split, dividing the Midwest from what is left of the East Coast.

Prayers that we all be ready to step into eternity and also for those that are not saved; may the Lord have mercy on them and allow them to call upon his name even at the last minute of their life.

      2. I think the splitting in the center of America would probably be triggered by the U.S. having a role in the “peace talks” to split Israel’s land. (but who can tell what God will allow and for what reason….)

In general, watch Israel for the unfolding of Bible prophecy.

Yes, I remember Bette Stevens speaking of that earthquake in the middle of the U.S. I think she said she saw whole cities going into the opening.

      3. I read a book over 35 year’s ago by a pastor who was given either a vision or he had a dream about an earthquake that rocked this nation like no other. I can’t remember the name of the book or the Pastors name but I do remember he was clear about the devastation and the loss of life. He said the TV coverage would be like nothing we have ever seen. He said It would affect much of the country. He also said it would be near the east coast.

Some year’s later I watched a special on the history channel, again about an earthquake that would hit central American splitting it in two…from the Great lakes to the Gulf. The people involved in this documentary had already had a map made to show how they thought it would affect the lay of the land. The maps below look much like what I saw on that special all those year’s ago.

    LOVE YOUR ENEMIES
“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.” Luke 9:24

One of the Anabaptists of the 16th Century who died in flames was Dirk Willem. His story is particularly touching, because he forfeited a real chance to escape prison and death when he turned back to help one of his pursuers.

Dirk was captured and imprisoned in his home town of Asperen in the Netherlands. Knowing that his fate would be death if he remained in prison, Dirk made a rope of strips of cloth and slipped down it over the prison wall. An alert guard began to chase him.

Frost had covered a nearby pond with a thin layer of ice. Dirk risked a dash across it. He made it to safety, but the ice broke under his pursuer who cried for help. Dirk believed the scripture that a man should help his enemies. He immediately turned back and pulled the floundering prison guard from the frigid water.

In gratitude for his life, the man would have let Dirk escape, but a Burgomaster (chief magistrate) standing on the shore sternly ordered him to arrest Dirk and bring him back, reminding him of the oath he had sworn as an officer of the peace.

Back to prison went Dirk. He was condemned to death for being re-baptized, allowing secret church services in his home and letting others be baptized as adults there.

The record of his sentencing concludes: “all of which is contrary to our holy Christian faith, and to the decrees of his royal majesty, and ought not to be tolerated, but severely punished, for an example to others; therefore, we the aforesaid judges, having, with mature deliberation of council, examined and considered all that was to be considered in this matter, have condemned and do condemn by these presents in the name; and in the behalf, of his royal majesty, as Count of Holland, the aforesaid Dirk Willems, prisoner, persisting obstinately in his opinion, that he shall be executed with fire, until death ensues; and declare all his property confiscated, for the benefit of his royal majesty.”

Dirk was burned to death on May 16, 1569. He showed love to his enemy and “saved” his life.

RESPONSE: Love for our enemies even surpasses the love of our own lives. This is the Jesus way of the cross!

PRAYER: Help me, Lord, to show love to those who are my enemies—even giving up my life.

  4. The verse that stands out in your post was in Hosea 4:14 ~ “. . . People without discernment are doomed.”
OH MY how I see so much of that right now, from many, many Christians. If there is no discernment now, what then when the delusions from satan continue to increase? DOOMED!!!
I continue to pray for people to have wisdom, clarity and discernment . . . Too many still don’t have that yet.

  5. I actually read this part of 1 corinthians today before going to work. That part of only the spirit of God knowing the things of God and a human the things of human animates a desire within me to conclude a biblical study on the matter.

To mind comes the passage where Jesus rebukes the devil and says he is always looking for the things of men. There is a key here in this passage that unlocks a great meaning in the bible, i can sense it!

“My children, I am coming into your life to teach you some new lessons. There are things I desire you would learn in order that you may progress to the next level of your walk with Me.

As I teach you these things, you will feel My leadings. You will feel Me lead you one way versus another way. Follow My leading and you will learn mighty things you have not known.

These lessons will help you in your present life and they will help you to know Me better. I desire to draw you closer to Myself. I desire you would walk the higher road with Me.

On these paths, if you feel My conviction to lay down some things in your life, obey Me quickly that we may move forward. Holding on to things from seasons past will only hinder your journey. The enemy desires to keep you tied to the past, but I desire you would look only forward. Keep your eyes on Me, and on the future I have for you.”

    Matthew 7:13-14

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

    LOVE FOR THE BRETHREN
Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Colossians 3:12-14

Salim Manayer who heads a significant reconciliation ministry in Israel between Israeli believers and Palestinian believers tells this story in his newsletter of learning about true love for others in the body of Christ during a visit to Denmark:

I experienced something so beautiful. The love and acceptance of the Messiah through the lives of the people who took me around, opened up their homes, took me shopping, took care of me when I was sick and took time out of their busy lives to drive me from one end of the country to the other. I was so moved by their kindness, their hospitality, their compassion, their honesty and their love. Through long country drives they shared and explained to me their reasoning for various traditions and teachings.

And who were these people? Well, if you want to get technical they were Lutherans. Lutherans who belong to the state church – many of them pastors. Yes, we are different – I am an Israeli believer who does not hold to these traditions, but we are called to love each other in spite of our differences. Put all of these labels aside, these amazing people were my brothers and sisters, they are my family because we belong to the family of God and they embraced me as their family.

I was moved as I sat around the kitchen table drinking coffee after confirmation class with one pastor and while eating apple crisp on Rosh Hashanah with another pastor, attentively listening to them as they shared their passion to see the lost people in their communities and parishes find God and believe in him. It left an impression on my heart and encouraged and inspired me to reach the people in my own community.

Sometimes stereotypes and prejudices are there in the back of your head and you don’t realize it until God places those same people you held stereotypes about in your face and they begin to show you the love God requires of his children…

Maybe I was sent to Denmark to impress upon, encourage, challenge and impart to the Danish believers to become reconcilers in their local communities; to bless them and show them that it is possible to break down the walls of bitterness and hatred, demolish their stereotypes and prejudices and to love their brothers and sisters. And yet, that is exactly what they taught me.

RESPONSE: I commit this day to show true love to my brothers and sisters breaking down prejudices.

PRAYER: Lord, I need Your help today to follow Your command to love all my brothers and sisters.

      1. Amen James….some scriptures that come to mind on this subject. Love, Love, Love is the message….and I LOVE that it is.

Galatians 3:28 – There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

        The second greatest commandment.
Matthew 22:36-40 – Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

    2. I love this! Just my humble thoughts, in every church denomination there are those who truly love the Lord, hear from Him and will be used there for His purposes or moved out etc. I met a couple at a get together who were homeschooling also. They spoke in tongues. They were Catholic. This was very early in my walk as a believer and it shocked me. What they shared stuck in my mind and heart: They told me they would be persecuted through the same church they were members of.

      1. With this teaching, (thank you James)…and Sunshine’s comment I feel the Holy Spirit wants me to release the following information.

Several months ago I asked for pray for my daughter and her family. In short, the message was they were being attacked and it was very bad. When this all began I came to have a fear I have never felt before. For a minute I felt helpless, so frightened I couldn’t move. I was consumed with fear. Well now, isn’t that exactly what the enemy wanted??? It didn’t take long to squash that fear and get back on track. Your prayers helped, they lifted me up…God bless you all and thank You Jesus, Amen

This is what I feel I can share…it’s not all the details it’s only what I feel I have permission to release at this time.

In response to your comment Sonshine…sadly what this couple says (they think will happen) is already happening in the church.

My loved ones have and are being persecuted for standing up for truth, standing up for what is right, as opposed to being silent. They have been slandered by the very core of the church…spiritual warfare has been declared against them. BUT…We all know they will be exonerated, the Lord our God will prevail…AMEN

In a case like this it’s the reputation that is being attacked. That’s the core of how we’re perceived and it’s important to us to protect what we have worked hard to build so we can expand God’s Kingdom. It’s important to be trusted as a Godly person. I hope I’m saying that correctly.

As others come forward in my family’s defense (it’s still unfolding) they are attacked as well and forced to leave. My family is not the first to be forced to leave, however, they are the first to be publicly attacked and slandered with lies and untrue accusations. Even though others have come forward proving the lies to be untrue, the rumors and have increased. So now what was originally one lie has turned into many (by way of gossip) and have also expanded in nature and outside of the church as well. We don’t live in a big city, we live in a relatively small community. The degree and nature of the lies and accusations could follow a person for all their life. This is why I was initially so fearful.

Why them, why my family and why to this degree? It could be because they were part of leadership and held the most information of the deception within. So they could have been perceived as a huge threat. Only God knows. Many have left before my family and also since, not because of my family but because their relationship with the Lord gave them insight to see and hear what was truth. They have discernment. Some left on their own accord, realizing something wasn’t right, again they have discernment. Others left because of their personal experience and felt they had no other choice. Most left quietly, but not all. Those that didn’t leave quietly have been and still are being publicly persecuted. As I write this there is another family that is in the spotlight now and will be the next victim. The process has already begun for them.

I feel I need to I ask God (right now) for His mercy on them and for protection over them. Heavenly Father I ask in Jesus name that you protect this family and their reputations. I ask for strength for the parents and adult children and special protection for the grandchildren. I ask that they be kept whole as a family, that the ability to drive a wedge between members of this family be eliminated. I ask that they be given the gift of discernment in their situation. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen

My family stayed because they thought that was what they were suppose to do, they were deceived…oh how easily we can be deceived!!!

It’s unsettling, the level of the enemy in the church. I have never seen anything like it, I’ve never heard of anything like it in a church setting. It’s cult like. The leader is subtle in his approach, and disguised until one disobeys his direction. It’s the direction given that comes into question as it’s not Godly. When it’s questioned, the attacks begin. All takes place behind closed doors, sometimes but not always it’s witnessed by an Elder…but always the same one. The process begins with your warning and is designed to conform. You are then watched, followed and even contacted by others claiming to be an advocate for you, asking what happened and are you okay. Only to report everything you say to the “leader”. Lies begin to be distributed to discredit you. And so it goes…on and on and on. There’s so much more but this is all I feel I’m to share at this time.

The lesson for my family; relationship, relationship, relationship with our Father in Heaven! True and Godly discernment comes with that close relationship and so does the power and protection of the Holy Spirit. Discernment was and is what’s needed for such a time as this. That true and necessary relationship comes from spending time in the Lords word, learning His teachings as a child learns from their Father. Nothing pleases our Father in Heaven more! Our reward is the Holy Spirit’s presence and with His presence we have clear and concise knowledge and the power to discern the true and good things that are of God.

Healing has begun but prayers are still needed. Forgiveness, love and peace of mind must be achieved. This is Gods battle and needs to be relinquished to Him to deal with as He sees fit. Prayers are also needed for this church, the leadership and each and everyone who attends there. Forgiveness of sin is needed as the gossip is spreading very quickly.

This is a true and factual account. It’s solely to point out the level of deception we’re all going to encounter…only much, much worse. It’s a real life example of what our Sister in Christ, Linda and Brother James and others have been warning us of for so very long. This is what they have been sharing with us about the level of deception and how we must BE READY!!!

As minor in nature as this example may seem to some, lives (in the body of Christ) are being deceived and sin is accruing because of it. This is not the only church.

What if my loved ones had not turned to the Lord and come to know the truth???

Please pray for all involved in this situation.

  9. I am personally asking for more patience in dealing with those who feel they have earned the right to bring condemnation to someone by twisting scripture to fit their beliefs. All of us need to ask for more Clarity, Discernment and Wisdom. We can cause someone to question their faith or even not accept Christ when we open our mouths without Wisdom being present.

When I read the posts on WP and listen to the radio shows, the one thing I realize is how much I underestimate(d) the enemy working through some around me. More of Your Wisdom and Knowledge here Lord and 0 of mine. Being hammered out is not fun, but praise the Lord He is hammering!

    Will You Pray — Sep 14, 2016 03:00 am | Glynda Lomax

“The seasons are changing, and the new age begins. My children, much chaos is coming into your world as you know. Things will become more difficult for many of My people. You must learn to hide yourself in the secret place of protection in Me to survive all you see long term.

What is important to Me now is how you spend your time, what is in your heart. Do you have a heart for My Kingdom, or is your heart to build your own upon the earth? Do not lay up treasures there for yourselves, My children, for all you see will pass away, even before your very eyes in the times to come.

Today many souls will leave the earth and go into eternity without Me. I desire My children would pray and lift these souls up to Me that I may save them before it is too late.

    Will you pray? ”

    Matthew 6:19-20
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

    1 Timothy 2:1-4
    I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
    3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

“The lilies of the field are robed in splendor, the animals of the forest are provided food by their Maker. All trust in the goodness of God. Without regard for tomorrow, they live in peace.

But you oh man, run here, run there, grabbing one thing then another. Never satisfied, troubled on every side, fearful for what tomorrow might bring. Where is your faith? Why do you fear? If the sparrow does not fall without My seeing, if I provide food for the hungry of the forest will I not take care of you, you of such little faith.

Why is it so difficult to know – I AM that I AM? You trust in many things but find it difficult to trust in Me. I will soon be removing all distractions; things that have stolen your heart so that you can look to Me to provide all you need.

Yes much heartache will come, trouble on many sides. Wars, rumors of wars, pestilence… But I AM remains a steady rock, your shelter in time of storm. Circumstances will change, I AM will not.!. Encourage one another as you see the day approaching.

‘These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:13’

Much grief and heartache in the coming days, but your Father knows what you have need of before you ask. As darkness descends, grow in grace, sharing My love with all and wait in eager expectation for the soon return of Yeshua ~ the One, the only, LORD of all.!. ”

I AM is a jealous God. You WILL have no other gods before Me.(Exodus 20:3)

    1. Excellent words shared by Ali Winters. Something we should all consider — truly having faith in the Lord for provisions. We can’t store up everything we would need for an emergency that lasts a long time! In order to do that, each and everyone of us would need a storage facility the size of WalMart. It’s time to stop the “panic” and looking here and there — we know what is coming and our primary focus needs to be on the Lord. So many people are concentrating on this thing and that thing — so many are not willing to bring correction to false doctrine — so many are not willing to stand up for the truth. May all of us seek the Lord while we still can, and obey what he has called us to do.

      1. Amen James…all the the Lord wants is for us to rest in His word. When we do that we have everything we need. There is nothing worldly things have to offer us that can replace our relationship with the Lord.

    LOVE’S SACRIFICE
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. John 15:13

Jesus says the ultimate test of true love is the willingness to die for others—especially your friends. Of course, He personally demonstrated this Himself in giving His life on the cross for you and me. And today He continues to call those who follow Him to make this sacrifice as well. This classic war zone missionary story illustrates the point:

The mortar rounds landed in an orphanage run by missionaries. The missionaries and one or two children were killed outright and several more children were wounded including one girl about eight years old.

The medical staff who arrived to help soon realized that the young girl was the most critically injured. Without quick action she would die from shock and loss of blood.

When explained to the other children that a blood transfusion was imperative, the request for a blood donor met with wide-eyed silence.

Then one small hand went up and a young boy volunteered. He was quickly laid on a pallet, his arm swabbed with alcohol, and the needle inserted into his vein.

Through the ordeal, he lay stiff and silent but continued to sob later turning into steady, silent crying. The medical team kept asking if it was hurting but he would shake his head and continue to cry.

After a while the boy stopped crying, opened his eyes and looked questioningly at the nurse who took the needle out of his arm. When she nodded, a look of great relief spread over his face.

The boy had all along thought he was dying. He misunderstood, thinking that he was to give ALL his blood so the other little girl could live. And she was his friend.

RESPONSE: Jesus calls me today to show sacrificial love—especially for those I consider friends.

PRAYER: Pray that this depth of love will become a reality in the church of Jesus Christ and in your life.

  13. Oh have to share!!!! One of my closest family members had an open vision!!!! First time ever!!!!! She was floating/watching from above. There were bombs going off on the land and she thinks it was back east (mine was by chicago and other eastern) because she saw the ocean and great lakes. Sorry for the bad typos. Anyways, she saw “top brass” and then floods, then all went dark except for stars and they were sort of blinking. In all this, there was a bluish grey light/blob she saw through the darkness.

She’s writing this down. Never has listened to much prophecy except what she puts up with from me etc. Holy Spirit is so good! He gave me the words to encourage and so on. Ok, still excited. Not of course of what is coming but it’s another person AWAKE!! Thank YOU JESUS!!!!

      1. Per your post about loving and not judging/above: I’ve had to sit on my hands, pretend I had tape on my mouth when I’ve visited church with her. It is the deadest place I have been so have really been praying for the pastor and people. Seriously, last visit there was an altar prayer call (of course my hopes went really high, the altar times are so missed), I didn’t hesitate to go up to pray, and no sooner than I got there, they are herding everyone back to the seat for the message 😦
Back to the point, just shows how amazing God is and how by His Spirit can reach down and grab anyone, regardless where they worship. Now for prayer for protection so the enemy doesn’t come in via the church, but rather that God would use the vision to reach the pastor and wake him up.

  14. Special Note** We can receive a word from the Lord from anyone — doesn’t matter who they are or what Church they are affiliated with. We also can receive blessings from those singing Church hymns or Christian music — we need to keep all groups, churches and people in prayer so they turn back to the truth. It’s not our place to judge anyone; instead let’s pray for the groups that we know have fallen away from the truth. There has been many testimonies shared from people across all denominations, that have become awaken. Maybe the Lord can use them to help others by sharing the truth and displaying the Characteristics of Christ.

  15. Vicki,
Thanks for sharing that with us. We can indeed keep them in prayer for protection against anything the enemy tries to throw at them. We all can take authority over this by the Blood of the Lamb. Pray for peace over everyone involved. Prayer for peace truly does work — I’ve seen it happen recently in my neighborhood.

    1. Oh the peace only the Lord our God can bring to our lives. I’m not sure where I’d be without it.

My first painting was about peace, the peace I was given through the power of the Holy Spirit. Maybe it’s time I release that story and painting…I’ll pray about it.

Thank you James for all you do Brother.

  16. I want to clarify…There is no judgement in my heart or in the hearts of my family for what has happened to them . They have displayed strength, forgiveness and love throughout this ordeal with the help of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. They’re learning to be ever so vigilant and are strong in their faith. They have peace in the love of the Father. They have begun to move on.
We all pray for all in this church and associated with this church as well as the whole body of Christ. We want to see healing and forgivness throughout and for all.

    Blessings,
    Vicki

    1. We no there’s no judgment in your heart Vicki. You truly have the Love of the Lord in many ways. What I posted was in reference to those that continue to judge me based on music videos I post and judgments I hear from other sources. Many need to wait on the Lord and let his will be done, instead of bringing on condemnation. The Holy Spirit brings conviction to the hearts that are ready to receive it. 🙂

      1. We’re good James. I needed to say that and wanted to add it to the original post but forgot. I know how easily we can be misunderstood…so I wanted to be clear as it’s important that your readers know we are about love and forgiveness and NOT judgement.

Thank you for caring enough to respond.

      2. And pray, pray pray for them all! Wow, where would any of us be without the prayer of others………..
Sorry if it sounded like I was judging the pastor………it’s an issue I need to take before the Lord………still praying for him even after he told his congregation he needed to increase their tithes!? I see in him a relationship with Jesus, I also see the lure of the material trying to pull him away.
Pastors have so many challenges! They get lonely, and feel they cannot talk to anyone if they are experiencing family issues and/or church issues. If you’re called to do so and can keep confidences, one of the most needed areas to serve is just being there for a pastor so they feel free to share, pray together, worship.

Many of these will that have fallen into traps (the money ones) will be restored again WITH repentance. So grateful I am not a pastor! Talk about a bug under a microscope!

“I desire My children would be wise. I desire you would lay up wisdom for the times to come, while it is yet available to you. I desire you would avail yourselves of what I have provided for you, but so very few of My children do.

In days to come, My children who have no time for Me now will feel great regret they did not make Me and My Word a priority. You will realize then why I warned you again and again of the necessity of this.

My children, no one can prepare or protect you if you will not obey. If My words mean nothing to you, I cannot keep you safe. ”

Proverbs 12:15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.

Proverbs 1:33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil.

    Proverbs 1:25-27

25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

    26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
