dont_judge_different_sinlog_in_My_Eye

This post came to mind based on past experiences when I was not following the Lord.  Remember that we must forgive everyone, even those that proclaim they are “Christians”.

cast_first_stone

I can’t tell you how many times people have shunned me or told me that I was going to hell based on the sin I was in.  If we do not follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and then go after people, we can actually push them further into the pit of Hell!

hypocritehypocrite2

So many people enjoyed telling me about my sin, but thought their sin was o.k. since they went to church every Sunday or they had some “calling”!  Wow!!  How Precious is that!  This is part of the reason some have turned away from their faith — it’s the “do as I say and not as I do crowd”!  Most of them have the false belief of “Once Saved Always Saved”.

listen_to_Holy_Spiritwhisper_of_God

Make sure you are listening to what the Holy Spirit is telling you before you speak! Sometimes we just need to be quiet!  Often times people use a megaphone telling people they are going to hell, while they camp outside of a “sinner establishment”. The problem is that this  will push some people further into the pit because they witness what appears to be hatred by people calling themselves “Christians”!    Would you enjoy having someone speak into a megaphone every time you sinned by thought or action?  We are all sinners and must repent often!!!

Matthew 7:1-5
“Do not judge, so that you won’t be judged. 2 For with the judgment you use, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye but don’t notice the log in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and look, there’s a log in your eye? 5 Hypocrite! First take the log out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

  1. Wow, have I ever heard the same thing from believers. And worse, if you are under that type of judging in a ministry, it flows down from us to others. It grieves me the legalism I learned early on. I know I pushed others away. I have prayed He forgives me and that others see His love through me not condemnation.

It’s a battle of the flesh we will fight as we grow and till we get home. Another area is thinking of those against believers now. It’s all happening so fast! I pray more for them now lest I get angry and at the wrong anger target. The enemy should be the source of anger yet with boldness to battle, not the person(s) he’s controlling. Guilty of this one too. Uhg! Great post!

Holy Spirit corrected me and yes, we have a place to voice things here on this forum with one another but even my poor kids got the end of legalism.

I’m printing out the “traits” and putting it on my prayer door!! When my attitude starts stinking, it’s a great “check in” tool! Thank you James!

  2. My Love — Jun 21, 2016 12:49 pm | Glynda Linkous

My children, you are more precious to Me than all the other creatures in the world combined, and yet not one sparrow feels hunger or thirst, or falls to the ground that I do not know. I am aware of every creature – I am also aware of you.

You feel alone in your pain and suffering, in your frustration, yet I have given you each other for comfort while you are on earth, as well as My Holy Spirit, and My Word. You are never alone.

I have never left you. In the midst of your darkest sin, I have not left you, nor have I stopped loving you. Come to Me! Come to Me and let Me show you how your life can really be. You are unable without Me and what you can achieve on your own is so limited, but with Me there are no limits.

Come to Me and feel My love for you.

    Matthew 10:28-30

28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

    THE HOLY SPIRIT
“If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!” Luke 11:13

Imagine the Christian movement in your country suddenly cut off from all those who are now its leaders! In the period of confusion that immediately follows a takeover, some small groups of Christians may be able to move to a different locality and become underground churches, but they must leave their “institutional forms” behind.

But who would lead such groups? Who would provide leadership for “house” churches and “family” churches? God, through the Holy Spirit, would raise up and equip leaders for His church in such circumstances, as He always had in the past. The members of a home fellowship must be prepared to accept the leadership of the Spirit and of those through whom He chooses to minister.

When regular lay Christians actually begin to understand that they can pray directly to the Lord, when they can take a passage of Scripture, written or memorized, and understand it under the direction of the Holy Spirit, they are then on the road to surviving victoriously in whatever set of hostile circumstances that may come along. One exciting discovery will lead to another. These Christians will begin to let the Holy Spirit use them to touch the lives of others and minister to their needs. No authority on earth can destroy this kind of spiritual church!

In China, a Christian woman was in charge of security at a coal mine. The woman suddenly felt the Holy Spirit urging her to pull the alarm lever, even though there was no apparent reason to do so. Although everything seemed quiet and normal, she obeyed the prompting within her. The whole mine was evacuated as a result of the alarm sounding, but when all the men had assembled on the surface, it seemed as if a huge mistake had been made. Just moments later the ground beneath their feet shook and a large section of the mine collapsed from the earthquake.

Because of this sister’s sensitivity and willingness to obey God’s Holy Spirit, everyone’s life had been saved. Additionally, however, 400 of the miners surrendered their lives to Christ after recognising that God had miraculously saved them from death.[1]

RESPONSE: Today I will thank God for the gift of His Holy Spirit.

PRAYER: Lord, use me today through Your Spirit to touch the lives of others and minister to their needs.

  4. His Own God — Jun 22, 2016 11:46 am | Glynda Linkous

My children, surely you see the signs all around you of what is coming. Surely you know if you have read My Word.

Man has become god in his own eyes, I am no longer needed or desired in your world. My own people still love and worship Me, but soon those around you will be filled with hatred for you and the end will come.

Be assured, My precious ones, that I see all that is occurring and the ones who hate My people will face a terrible judgment. They will face the unknowable and they will know hell on earth. Then they will face eternity without Me, an eternity filled with only evil and darkness.

Be encouraged, My little ones, for though you may feel like sheep led to the slaughter in these times, you are indeed being led elsewhere. You are being led home, to Me.

Galatians 6:3 For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

Revelation 2:23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

Matthew 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.

Romans 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.

Isaiah 3:11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Psalm 91:8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

  5. Some Scriptures For Today — 06/22/16 — This tells me personally that God’s timing is always perfect.

    Ecclesiastes 3:1-15

There is an occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven:
    2 a time to give birth and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to uproot;
    3 a time to kill and a time to heal; a time to tear down and a time to build;
    4 a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance;
    5 a time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; a time to embrace and a time to avoid embracing;
    6 a time to search and a time to count as lost; a time to keep and a time to throw away;
    7 a time to tear and a time to sew; a time to be silent and a time to speak;
8 a time to love and a time to hate; a time for war and a time for peace.
9 What does the worker gain from his struggles?
10 I have seen the task that God has given people to keep them occupied.
11 He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also put eternity in their hearts, but man cannot discover the work God has done from beginning to end.
12 I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and enjoy the good life.
13 It is also the gift of God whenever anyone eats, drinks, and enjoys all his efforts.
14 I know that all God does will last forever; there is no adding to it or taking from it. God works so that people will be in awe of Him.
15 Whatever is, has already been, and whatever will be, already is. God repeats what has passed.

It’s a nice song, and wonderful to think that a popular group actually
      used Scripture in a song!

  7. Daily Devotional — 06/23/16:

    God’s Great Introduction
    Genesis 1–2

    God’s Story

In the beginning God—the Master Artist—speaks. He calls the universe into existence—setting moons, planets, stars and galaxies in a masterful yet dizzying rhythm of orbiting and spinning. Like a painter surveying a blank canvas, his Spirit hovers over the empty earth. “Let there be light,” he declares, and light bursts through the darkness. He parts waters and calls up land. He brings about lush green plants and grasses. He decorates the sea, sky and land with fish, birds and animals. The once-barren planet dances with life.

Then the Master Artist comes in close to shape his highest work, his pièce de résistance, the creatures who will carry the honor of bearing his image: man and woman. In a gesture of intimacy, God leans in to breathe life into the nostrils of the man. Soon after, woman is called forth from his side. God sets his crowning creations in a garden he has made especially for them, giving them one command so they can fully enjoy their magnificent home.

    The King’s Heart

    Creation is God’s great introduction.

God had the ability to call anything into existence that he wanted. As the all-powerful, infinitely thoughtful One, the possibilities before him were endless. So what he did choose to create reveals much about his heart. Out of the overflow of his heart spills a world of beauty and goodness. Warm rays of sunlight feed the upturned leaves of the waiting plants below. Powerful displays of lightning and thunder announce the delivery of life-rain.

Creation is a masterpiece with a message. As the worker ant marches on to accomplish his daily tasks, he proclaims: “I am diligent because my Creator is diligent.” As a lion stands guard over his pride, he declares, “I am ferocious because my Creator is ferocious.” As the butterfly gently flits over flowers, he proclaims: “I am beautiful because my Creator is beautiful.” Tumbling bear cubs profess: “We are playful because our Creator is playful.”

As God creates, he keeps agreeing: “Good! . . . Good! . . . Good!” The Artist is pleased. It is good. The King’s actions trumpet forth the foundational truth of his heart, which is also the foundational truth of the universe: Creation is good because God is good. He is good, good, good.

    Insight

Ephesians 1:4 tells us that God loved us before the creation of the world. That means that before the earth existed, before it took its first spin around the sun, you were on God’s mind and in his heart.

    STRENGTH FROM THE BIBLE
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105

In Eritrea, the government restricts the freedom of religion of faith groups. The only groupings permitted are the Eritrean Orthodox Church, Roman Catholic Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church and Islam. Everyone who is caught at a meeting of believers outside these four official religious groups, even in a private house, can be arrested, tortured and put under pressure to renounce his faith.

Thousands of Christians are being held at police stations, in containers, at military bases and in prisons. Even though many of them have been held for years, none of them has had a trial. In many cases, Christians are also beaten or abused in some other way.

Isaac is one of these prisoners. He heard about God’s love from soldiers in the military unit in which he was fighting during the war with Ethiopia. On the basis of their testimony, he decided to become a Christian and was secretly slipped a Bible. He buried it in the sand and when he had the opportunity, he read the Word of God somewhere outside the army camp. He tried to do so as inconspicuously as possible, but one day he was discovered.

Almost from his first day as a Christian, he was persecuted. He was tortured and even left out in the burning sun, but he refused to renounce his faith. God’s love and God’s Word had become too important for him. In the end, he was locked up, just like other Christian prisoners in Eritrea. He has become a living legend, because he has held on to his faith.

A number of Christian prisoners, who are being held in containers, have been given Bibles in secret. They have divided them into portions, and in this way, each believer has a small part of the Bible. When the container is closed, it is too dark to read. But as soon as the doors are opened to let in some air or to hand out food, something amazing happens. The prisoners do not immediately run outside for fresh air or to eat. First they inconspicuously hold their portions of the Bible to the light in order quickly to be able to read a few verses and to be strengthened by God’s Word.

RESPONSE: Today I will treasure my freedom to read and meditate on God’s Word.

PRAYER: Lord, I pray Your Spirit of Peace upon my brothers and sisters in prison today in Eritrea. May they be encouraged by Your Word!

  9. As always the bible has the right antidote to legalism. Its called Galatians! All those workbased religions around the world ought to have the book Of galatians printed before their guidebook whatever its name is and once galatians is read the page would say…….PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK….THE LORD HAS STATED WHAT WILL HAPPEN SHOULD YOU PROCEED WITH THAT COMING AFTER THIS.

So here is a global initiative that ought to be fulfilled.

  10. This Night
    Jun 23, 2016 01:27 pm | Glynda Linkous

My children, some of you have so little time left and you do not know. You have pushed Me away for a later time, thinking you have time, but you do not.

Do you not know, My Word says thou fool, this night shall thy soul be required of thee? Do you not realize how many souls have gone to hell for doing just as you are and then it was too late?

Come to Me and make your peace that you may spend eternity where there is no sorrow or pain. Where there is only joy and light.

Come to Me and know My great love for you.

Luke 12:20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

    John 3:16-19

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

    HOLY SPIRIT CALLING
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. John 16:13

Johnny Li of Nexus ministry shares today the story of his “calling” by God’s Holy Spirit:

“Your son asked me to come and visit you!” As I spoke these words to the elderly man in front of me, I could see the utter surprise and even confusion in his eyes. Suddenly the man grabbed me and quickly jerked me inside the small room.

My mind began to retrace my steps and all the events that had led to this: first meeting young Brother Wang in Hong Kong after his daring escape from China; then the challenging request from my pastor to take Bibles to the family of Brother Wang in China; then the daring and dangerous expedition that led me here.

Mrs. Wang quickly excused herself and I spent the next hour bringing greetings and love from Brother Wang as well as all the other believers from our small church in Hong Kong. Curious about the sudden disappearance of Mrs. Wang I enquired where she went. “She is in the room next door praying for our safety,” Brother Wang’s father replied.

After memorable fellowship, the final words of Brother Wang Sr. pierced my heart. “You must come again,” he pleaded.

I smiled politely but in my heart I knew I would not likely return. The trip was much too risky and dangerous for my liking. Being Chinese I knew that my destiny would be prison if I were caught. “You must come again and bring more Bibles,” old Brother Wang pleaded as if he could read my troubled mind. I gave the only correct answer I could think of. “I will pray about it.”

In a daze I walked to the train station and boarded the first train home to safety. My heart was torn because this was the country responsible for arresting my mother and causing me to grow up as an orphan. I decided I would not return! Then I heard the unmistakable voice of the Holy Spirit, “Do you need a calling, Johnny?”

“Lord what do you mean,” I asked? “You have seen the need. You have heard my voice. Why do you need a ‘calling’ to respond?” I knew I had no choice. The Lord had spoken. I knew this was the way for me.

This was thirty years ago and Johnny Li has been an immense blessing in assisting the fast-growing church in China. He’s been responsible for producing the first Chinese Children’s Bible in modern Chinese and has delivered thousands of Bibles and other Christian literature into China. Today he trains Chinese missionaries committed to take the Gospel to the Muslim world.

RESPONSE: Today I will listen to the Spirit’s voice before making decisions and plans.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to listen to Your Spirit’s direction in my life since He will direct my steps.

  12. Out of My Design — Jun 24, 2016 01:39 pm | Glynda Linkous

The world has rejected My original way, My original design. I created all things perfect. I created everything in your life to flow with ease as you walk in My ways, but man is rejecting My way.

My children, when you go against My design, things no longer work properly. In these times, you shall see many things go awry that would otherwise have continued to flow properly within My design. Do not ask “Why?” as if I have done this, for I have not.

You are out of My design, for you have rejected My ways.

NOTE: As the Lord spoke this word to me, I felt the entire eco system, all the world and its weather, all of creation was headed towards going out of control.

    Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

    2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

  13. Daily Devotional (1) — 06/25/16:

    EFFECTIVE PRAYER
The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. James 5:16

For fifteen years from 1981 to 1995, in one Chinese city there were many cases of murder, armed robbery, rape, gangs of thieves, local village local tyrants were rampant and small children were being kidnapped, taxis were being robbed and taxi drivers being killed. People’s hearts were nervous. Traffic related disputes were increasing and society was not in a peaceful state. There were less than 3000 believers in the city.

At this time, the Holy Spirit moved Sister Zhou to the city. This Christian sister helped the church there for over one month. She received a burden while praying that the church should set up a prayer watch. So, the first prayer watch group was established. When it started, there were only 6 people. On Sundays these six people would all watch and pray simultaneously.

After almost six months of this kind of prayer, the national police cleaned up and eliminated the triad gangs and local village tyrants and brought about a change for a better environment in the city.

At the time when children were being kidnapped, old Sister Chang began to fast and pray. Every day she would pray saying, “O Father God, save and rescue these children. Send an old granny to look after them!” After a year’s time, the problem of children being kidnapped was transformed.

One problem would be solved and then another problem would come up for prayer. The rate of deaths in that city due to traffic accidents was an average of one to two people per day. Many more than that were injured daily. They then decided to make the city’s traffic safety to be a special prayer topic. They prayed and relied on God to solve the traffic problems.

From 1995 until now, small groups of prayer watches have expanded from one to three core groups. Each person prays at a designated time and the time for prayer rotates to another person in the group. It has now expanded into a large prayer network. Now the city is peaceful and safe. The work of the gospel is stable and steadily expanding. There are more than 30,000 Christians in the city attending meetings.

The people’s attitudes and appearance all seem like they are renewed. Although there are many laid-off workers, they seem to be able to find enough work to still be able to feed their families. This truly is the effect of prayer. It is the work done by our Father for the city.

RESPONSE: Today I will recommit myself to believe in the power of prayer and practice that belief.

PRAYER: Pray for the problems in your city or community. Ask God for like-minded partners.

  14. A Watchman on the Wall — Posted: 24 Jun 2016 06:29 AM PDT

“Sin abounds in the camp, great sin. The sin of unbelief rules in far too many churches across the lands. My Spirit is ignored as more and more move in the anointing of evil. Rebellious spirits rule and man is content to follow the voices of doom.

My children have grown lax in worship, compromise abounds and the wide road enlarges daily.

Many among you lost, steeped in darkness with no way of escape except through the cross of My Son. Yet rebellion, arrogance and pride prevent them from coming to Me. Few will choose My path. My road seems to hard to travel, My laws, My teachings burdensome to those sliding through life without care, worry or concern.

Would that you cared, but you do not and now I AM has no choice but to deal harshly with your sins. My heart is grieved for the lost. My wrath is being poured out on this wicked and perverse generation.

My children, trim your lamps and remain close to Me.”

“For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. 1 John 5:3

“Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19-21

“For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect.” Matthew 24:24
