The picture above is meant to be bold! We can’t repent once we are dead!!! So many people would rather die in their sin, instead of hearing the truth. It’s not time to snooze and we must be bolder for the Lord. No more time to sit by and allow the scoffers and mockers to try and take us out by the ignorance of their words.
We must forgive them, continue to pray for them and move on. It will mean a total separation from family, friends, neighbors, church pew warmers and so many more. If anyone even hints about telling you to be quiet — tell them that they won’t have the opportunity to repent when they are laying on a cold metal slab in the mortuary!
May the Holy Spirit bring conviction to everyone and may the Lord have mercy upon them during time of trouble. You can’t come before the throne after your physical death and give the Lord excuses! Not gonna work!
Yes, we have to “buckle up buttercup”! , as this is not going to be a pleasant journey. We must keep our eyes upon Jesus. No matter what people say, don’t respond with anger. A little humor always helps when dealing with things that just make you want to scream! Sometimes you can imagine a jack-in-the box playing when people call you things like”Crazy, Misguided” or other terms.
Everyone has a choice to make. Choosing to do nothing, will not give you a free pass from spending eternity in Hell!
John 3:16-21
16 “For God loved the world in this way: He gave His One and Only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world that He might condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. 18 Anyone who believes in Him is not condemned, but anyone who does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the One and Only Son of God. 19 “This, then, is the judgment: The light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than the light because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who practices wicked things hates the light and avoids it, so that his deeds may not be exposed. 21 But anyone who lives by the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be shown to be accomplished by God.”

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will always be with the Lord.

When a person is in Christ saved and safe keeping his eyes on him, one is alive and the world around seems dead. To behold life inhabiting once still sinful flesh invigorates the spirit but makes one knowledgeable about the glories to come!
But still we groan and expect until the Lord us up to him connects, great hope we have but let us not sink into despair but radiate that glory of Christ he has given to each of his as long as we draw breath.

TRUTH posted . . . Sadly, we’re going to see more of this, so we must “brace ourselves” in Jesus. Even the “Churchian” Sunday Social Club attendees will HATE us for speaking forth the truth, with the “R” word . . . REPENT!!! They WILL reject us, but ultimately they are also rejecting Salvation through Jesus Christ, for to continue in sin. . . . Ends in eternal damnation.

Amen Peggy. Scaring people is the enemies interpretation. We must continue to share the truth no matter what others say. Repenting of sin and salvation is our only hope.

AMEN Peggy . . . Better for them to hear the truth now . . . At least we have been faithful to warn as the Holy Spirit prompts.
What are they going to do when GIANTS are clomping around . . Chasing and eating people? OR when huge batwing demons are flying around?
Right now we are only warning. . . Wait until it’s LIVE. It will be then when some of the scoffers/mockers and “don’t tell me that” folks will try to seek us out for answers. We must help them . . .and that’s when “the final harvest of souls” occurs on a HUGE scale.

WHERE IS YOUR HOUSE?
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21
This scripture is best illustrated by the testimony of a nameless (for security) Arab Christian woman:
“My grandfather was born in one village, grew up, got married and died in the same village. I was born in one city, and by the age of ten, I already had lived in three different countries and moved five times because my parents were looking for better job opportunities. After marriage, and by the age of thirty-five, I had already moved fifteen times mainly because of three different war situations in my home country!
Is there some kind of prize for people moving so often? Some of the changes were done willingly but for most of them, I had no choice! I lived in stone houses, brick houses and even in a prefabricated one (with thin walls like cardboard) and that was at a time when Beirut was being bombarded! I have to admit that I had fears not because of the bombardment but because of not being able to find a place we could afford to pay rent!
One day, I was so worried that I couldn’t sleep; so, I sat down to figure out how I would overcome this fear. I thought to myself, What is the worst thing that can happen to me? If I cannot afford to sleep in a building, I will go and sleep under a tree; no one would charge me money for doing that and no one has died because of sleeping under a tree!
Then, I looked back into the past years and saw how God had taken good care of me, helping me not only to survive during wartime, but also to be productive and render services to my community. If, by faith I am God’s child, according to His promises in the Bible, He will continue to take care of me. So, having these thoughts, I began singing, “You are my hiding place, You always fill my heart with songs of deliverance, Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you!” That was it, my fears were gone! I still do not own my own place to live, but I carry the same song in my heart and in my laptop, to listen to whenever I change the places I sleep!
I discovered that the best thing to do is not to get attached to material things or even people, because they will be there for some time and will be gone soon. The best thing is to get my heart attached to God, because He will go with me everywhere, will provide for me what I need and in the end take me to live in the heavenly city where my eternal house is! So, where is your house?”
RESPONSE: Today I will seriously evaluate where my “treasure” and “house” are because that’s where Jesus says my heart will also be.
PRAYER: Help me Father to accumulate treasures in heaven and not on earth.

There is a fundamental reason why Jesus made the two mentioned commandments the most important commandments of all. That is, if followed and when followed they’re all inclusive of all other commandments.
When we love Him with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind, it begins the first step to love all others as He loves us. When we’re truly doing this we can’t help but love others (right where they are). That takes us to the second d greatest commandment.
Two very easy steps to a better life a better world.
I personally have never found it hard to love others even when they have not loved me back. Now that does not mean I haven’t been upset, angry, unforgiving (which is the subject here), I’m human, therefore not the least bit perfect. Forgiving can be harder then loving, mostly because we remember stuff.
When I truly began to forgive is when I became healed of many things including illness. Once I learned to take my hurt to the Lord, I also began to forget what others have done to hurt me and others I love. I’m thankful for how the Holy Spirit has blocked out hurt and has given me the ability to forgive almost as soon as wrongs unfold.
So one can truly find peace in following the greatest of all commandments….Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This the first and greatest commandments.
Just fill up your heart, soul and mind with the word, with the Lord…. make no room for anything else.
He is an awesome, awesome Father!

Amen vicki your post got me thinking that no matter the circumstances He will always,be with us. Even in His own physical insecurity He said “Foxes have holes ,birds have nests but the Son of Man has no where to lay his head”. In His time on earth He thought of nothing but His love for us , forgetting all things that in my human weakness I have worried about in past times. Now when the death to our flesh in all things takes a back seat to His love it is amazing how we are all still here in one piece. Amen

Daily Devotional — 06/02/16:
OPEN DOORS OF OPPORTUNITY
But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me. 1 Corinthians 16:8-9
The Apostle Paul was always focused on opportunity. Yet he was a realist who knew the opposition he faced from the enemy of our souls. He expresses here an interest in visiting the Corinthian Church for a significant period of time. But it would not be until after Pentecost because of great open doors for effective work in spite of much opposition. In doing kingdom work we should always expect opposition but that should not blind us to the great opportunities.
A young pastor in the southern Philippines who attended a Standing Strong Through the Storm (SSTS) seminar, shares his personal experiences with this principle:
“The SSTS taught me a lot of things. First, it taught me to stand firm in the Lord during tough times. Second, it taught me to establish my relationship with God and not to focus on difficulties. Third, it taught me to lead my whole family to serve and obey God even though hardship and persecution come. And also it taught me to continue on with the ministry, even if others abandon us.
“My wife and I were newlyweds and fresh graduates of a Bible school when God called us to start a work among the Muslims. We were afraid of them and did not know how to minister to them. Open Doors gave us books on how to love the Muslims. In one community we started literacy classes among the children.
“But the more we grew in our desire to obey God, the more our faith was tested. In 2004, I was diagnosed with stage-four pancreatic cancer. But my sickness did not stop the Lord in accomplishing His purpose for our lives. In 2008, He led us to permanently settle in a place where most Christians dared not go. As we obeyed God, we experienced His great power—that same year, my doctor told me that I was cancer free!
“The Lord also paved the way for us to reach one Muslim tribe through an adult literacy project. We built relationships with our students and eventually shared the gospel with them. We seized every opportunity to help them with their needs, more so with their relationship with Jesus Christ.
“I would say that the biggest test of our faith was not when I got sick, but when our sending church abandoned us and cut our support. I felt alone, but God sustained me and my family.
“The Lord is continuously opening more opportunities for us to minister to our Muslim brothers. Right now, with Open Doors’ help, we are holding literacy classes among the three Muslim tribes in our area. We are also distributing the JESUS film when there is any opportunity to do so.”
RESPONSE: Today I will not allow opposition to blind me to the opportunities of service God provides.
PRAYER: Lord, give me strength to walk through open doors of effective work in the face of opposes.

Daily our LORD brings strength to our family as we travel through the valley of the ‘shadow’ of death. I see it only as a shadow for as eternal beings created in the image of God, we will not die, but live eternally. For those who have chosen the way of the cross, God has promised eternal life through Jesus Christ our LORD. For those who have rejected His merciful gift of forgiveness for sin, for all who have chosen any other way except through the cross there awaits an eternal life separated from the goodness of God.
As I heard the following, I internalized the words thinking they were specific to our current journey. I share them now praying they will bring healing and hope to you and strength for your journey. LORD bless. aw

Daily Devotional — 06/03/2016:
HOPE IN THE FACE OF BAD NEWS
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9
Our Open Doors colleague, Ron Boyd-MacMillan, shares the following insight from his teaching, “Why I Need to Encounter the Persecuted Church.” Wouldn’t it be wonderful to have an idea of what God is really up to in this world? One thing we can be very sure of—that the story of the world as we find it in history books and newspapers, is not to be confused with the real story of what God is doing underneath. But what is God’s story as opposed to history? What’s he really up to? Must the daily diet of wars, murder and mayhem in my newspaper always get me down. Can I ever be sure something is going on underneath? Well, we can’t know perfectly as “his ways are so much higher than our ways” (Isaiah 55:9). But we are afforded glimpses. This glimpsing really excited the early Christians. You can hear the delight in Paul when he writes, “God’s secret plan has now been revealed to us…” (Ephesians 1:9). The persecuted seem to get more glimpses than most.
I think of China. The headlines said in June of 1989 a terrible massacre took place. Five thousand young people were mown down by the Chinese army. The headlines all mourned the death of the pro-democracy movement. It was terrible, but what was God up to underneath? Out of that massacre came a remarkable turning to Christ among China’s students for the first time in history! The headlines never saw it. It’s not part of history. But “His story” went on.
I think of Afghanistan. When the Soviet Union invaded that country in 1980 the world was outraged. The headlines were all full of fierce denunciations of the action, and rightly so. But I remember meeting a missionary from Kabul who said, “Yes, what the Russians did was wrong, but the fact is it is now much easier under the Russians for Christians to evangelize than it was before under the Islamic regime.” Again, another more significant story, of God building his kingdom, was going on undetected by the world at large.
I think of Sudan. The headlines in the 1980’s were full of a dreadful civil war which isolated the Danka people from the outside world. It was terrible. There was untold suffering on vast scale. But underneath, God was bringing the 2 million Dinks to himself. By 1993, 80% of them were Christians and this among a tribe that was historically very resistant to the gospel.
Notice that these are all stories from the persecuted. They seem to be better placed to notice the real story. And so I need to keep in touch with them because this glimpse delivers me from despair. In 1989 in China, there was not just a massacre, but a revival. In 1980 in Afghanistan, there was not just an occupation, but new missionary opportunities. In Sudan, there was not just a brutal war that killed millions, but a new kingdom of believers among an unreached people.
So every day when I open my newspaper, I remind myself of two things, thanks to the persecuted: the story I see is not to be confused with the kingdom story; and underneath even the saddest news, God is surely up to something good. There is hope because God is always at work.
RESPONSE: Today when I read or hear the news, I will thank God that He is at work behind the scenes.
PRAYER: Thank You Lord, for Your promise to bring good out of the terrible events of this world.

I have a question. It’s one I brought up to someone else just this past week:
What is it like for a man to think of wedding dresses, the Bride of Christ and so on????????
I just had a friend remark on it this morning. Will someone explain this to me? I’m a woman and not into frills etc, love my jeans and am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo uncomfortable in dratted shoes that go with dratted dresses and so on. Yes, occasionally I wear one to church or for my husband when we go out, but for a very short time, then back into my jeans. I cannot imagine what this “picture” is like for a man.
Thoughts please?

Sonshine — my thoughts on this: I view the “Bride” as a metaphor for all men & women who are ready to be with the Lord and have washed themselves clean in the blood of the Lamb (Jesus) by repenting of all sin daily. To me the clothes could simply be a white robe that all will be wearing when we are taken to be with the Lord.
Revelation 7:14 “Sir, I answered, “you know.” So he replied, “These are the ones who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.
Revelation 21:2 I also saw the Holy City, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.

LIVING TO PLEASE GOD – WITHOUT FEAR
For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13
Today we share the testimony of overcoming fear from Sister Sarah in Bangladesh:
“I knew my husband since childhood. We grew up in same village and studied in same school. But his family was devoted to Islam; his father was a Muslim imam. Just imagine the disappointment when his family learned that he became a Christian! To leave Islam and marry me, a Christian girl, is to bring great shame to his family. It was like pouring more oil into the fire! His family plotted to kill him, but God save my husband from their hands.
“My in-laws blamed me and my parents for my husband’s conversion. My parents received lots of threats, finally forcing my parents to move to another place. Those days were very painful for me but my husband and I always prayed, ‘Lord help us stand firm in our faith.’ God would speak to my heart through His Word that He held me by His right hand… that I didn’t need to be afraid, because He was there to help (Isaiah 41:13).
“The first few years of my marriage were the toughest. We feared for our lives every night. During those years, we moved six times because of threat from my in-laws. After three years or so, my in-laws rejected my husband completely and they left him without inheritance. It was painful, but I also felt relieved, because that meant there would be fewer threats.
“When the tension lessened, I joined an organization that was working among disadvantaged women. I found joy in being with lots of people. I felt satisfaction in what I was doing, though it was for a secular company. Later on, however, it motivated me to pursue working with a Christian ministry. I began praying, ‘Lord I want to serve You by serving Your people. Would You please open a door for me and equip me for Your work?’
“God was quick to answer! In 2008, my husband and I enrolled in a Bible school abroad through the support of Open Doors. Throughout those four years of seminary training, God taught me to develop inner beauty through faith, obedience, courage, and prayer. I became more confident in introducing Christ to others, more supportive of my husband as he fulfilled his calling and potential, and more conscious of helping my children grow up as God-fearing persons.
“This year, we returned to our home country Bangladesh. My husband got an opportunity to serve God and His people through a Christian organization. Please pray that God will help me encourage my husband so that he remains faithful in his calling, raise my kids in a godly way, and obey His command to make disciples.”
RESPONSE: Today I will thank God that He is with me and I do not need to fear anything or anyone!
PRAYER: Pray that God’s promises will sustain Sarah and her husband in living for God without fear in their new ministry.

While I cant verify the following, I can say I have no doubt that its true.
My son is 37 years old, when he was in his early 20’s he had a friend that was a National Guard. That’s at least 17 years ago. He was stationed right here in Pa at Fort Indiantown Gap just North of where we live.
There’s no telling how long the following has been going on.
There was lots he shared with my son but the most alarming to us was the foreign troops that were stationed there and in training. He even seemed to know why they were there. What he told my son was this….if there was ever a time that martial law was declared our own (USA)troops would not be called to action because most would have a problem following orders to harm “their own”…i.e. American citizens.
The foreign troops would have no problem following this type of order.
