How Great Is The Lord

Remember to praise the Lord for all he has done.

1Peter1_18god_is_real

1 Peter 1:18-19

For you know that you were redeemed from your empty way of life inherited from the fathers, not with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.

Praise the Lord
1 Hallelujah! Praise God in His sanctuary.  Praise Him in His mighty heavens.
2 Praise Him for His powerful acts;  praise Him for His abundant greatness.
3 Praise Him with trumpet blast;  praise Him with harp and lyre.
4 Praise Him with tambourine and dance; praise Him with flute and strings.
5 Praise Him with resounding cymbals;  praise Him with clashing cymbals.
6 Let everything that breathes praise the Lord.
Hallelujah!

  1. Fabulous, as usual, JC!!

Holy Spirit is at work! I see that your top message says, “How Great is Our God.” Would you believe that I just finished listening to that song?
    Confirmation.

JC, I am so very grateful for all that you do for the Kingdom of God.
I can tell that you have a very discerning mind about the critical times that we are in, as well as a very humble heart of service toward Him and compassion for people.

Thanks again, JC, for all you do.
Angels are making note of it in the Heavenly Records!

    In His Mighty Name,

  2. Yep a great post. But here in Finland where i come from we dont just praise anything. At least not by physically showing it! I have been to some pentecostal churches where the praise is very uncharacteriscal for finnish people.
Meaning they make sounds dance etc. I myself am like a tree grown in place When i attend service. IF i speak i can feel the words flowing better than usual sometimes and people listen attentivly.

But no im not one for showing physical movements or singing during services, thats how i have been since a small boy.

Silent, thoughtful, opening My mouth just When spoken too and Even then just what needs to be Said. Nothing more nothing less.

Does this make me less a christian? I think not but the jury might think otherwise, but the judge decides in heaven.

    1. A man of few words. When you speak it is profound. I have someone dear to my heart who is the same. So, I know that sometimes people want a ‘show’ and sometimes people want low- keyed and sincere. God Our Father loves both!

    2. Stig-Ove…you’re beautiful just the way you are! If the Lord wants you to worship in a different way he’ll certainly let you know. Not moving doesn’t make one less spiritual.

      My Husband is very still.

You say, “I myself am like a tree grown in place”.

I say, “trees are good and very much needed”.

      Jeremiah 17:8 says….
He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

      Blessings,

Jerusalem, you labor so without Me, your strong Savior. I am your warrior King, though you rejected Me so very long ago.

I am coming back, Jerusalem! I am coming back to you, for I have a people in you even now who call upon My Name.

Jerusalem, your enemies will soon surround you, but I shall defeat them for you. Fear not, Jerusalem. Look up, for your redemption draws nigh.

Exodus 14:13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

  4. Revelation 3 :21. ” To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame and am set down with my Father in His throne.”
This just made my heart leap after a spiritual scrubbing late last night. Felt like He used one of those steel bbq brushes. But then His oil of mercy heals it instantly.

“Come to My well spring of living water. Come drink and be filled. Come yet while there is time. Come My children, come. Time grows shorter. Come and be filled.

Once more will I speak and yet again. There is sin in the camp. My house is a house of prayer, but unrighteous shepherds have made it a laughing stock to the world, a ruinous heap of rubble covered by the bobbles and bangles of this world.

Warnings have gone unheeded. Many continue to stand in open rebellion against The Word. My Son’ Name has become a by word to the world. He no longer is worshiped as The Son of God. I am growing weary of warning, angry at feeble attempts to pacify My Word without regard for truth. Soon voices of warning will be silenced. Soon you will see My hand at work in your nations. Warnings will cease, warriors will arise and wars will begin.

Wicked world, perverse generation, you have been called to repentance. Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand.

“I will hide My face from them, I will see what their end shall be; For they are a perverse generation, Sons in whom is no faithfulness. They have made Me jealous with what is not God; They have provoked Me to anger with their idols. So I will make them jealous with those who are not a people; I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation,…”Deuteronomy 32:20-21

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

“I have declared to both Jews and Greeks that they must turn to God in repentance and have faith in our Lord Jesus.” Acts 20:21

  7. The massmedia has done a good work of dumbing down the population since the 1950s. The father of massmedia Edward Bernays a nephew of Sigmund Freud founded the idea of massmedia on the teachings of Gustav LeBon a french psychologist who made his thesis or work on the idea that the general population cannot be allowed to become too educated because in masses they pose a danger to the stability of the society.

Of course society being led by people of secret societies dont want an educated population so they are more than eager to support such ideas.

    Apr 26, 2016 12:40 pm | Glynda Linkous

My Children, strive to overcome in the challenges I have placed before you. I have chosen each of your challenges to prepare you for what is to come in your life.

If it were not necessary, if it would not bring a good result, I would not ask it of you. I greatly reward My obedient children who walk in My ways – I shall withhold no good thing from you!

I am your teacher, and only I can see what is before you. I know the enemy’s traps that he has set for you. I know what your future holds. I know how to increase your heavenly rewards. Obey Me now, and be glad.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Proverbs 8:32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.

    Genesis 4:7King James Version (KJV)

7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

Genesis 4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

    1. Stig-Ove, our financial system here is being held up by thin tissue paper. Any wind right now will bring down all of it in an instant .. that’s when those who don’t know God will be in a state of panic and chaos will begin to rule. I know many none-believers who think they can take care of themselves and are still in denial. Most of them are going to need some Adult Diapers when any of the judgments are seen here. So many won’t believe they are happening, until it hits their own houses. We still need to keep everyone in prayer. May the Lord have mercy on everyone, so they have even one last second to call on him for forgiveness prior to them being lost forever.

GOD USES PROBLEMS AND PERSECUTION TO INSPECT YOU
“When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience.” James 1:2-3 NCV

Here is another of five ways God uses problems and persecution in your life: God uses problems and persecution to INSPECT you. An African Christian businessman shares this testimony:

Born in a rich family I was living for earning big money. My businesses were very profitable. All over town people knew me. When God revealed to me the insignificance of money and richness, I accepted Christ after a long struggle. He changed my life. No longer was I running after money but I started sharing what God had done in my life.

After some time, suddenly the police came to our house. Officers carrying guns took me to their office to interrogate me, asking me all kinds of questions, treating me as if I was a criminal. The next day the same thing happened. A lot of soldiers entered my home and stood in every room making my children cry. For over a period of six months they threatened me. Day after day they asked me and threatened me to stop sharing the good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every time I responded saying: “No, I am not going to stop sharing about the life I received through Jesus Christ”

After six months they stopped. One man of the security forces told me, “The reason we could not do anything to you is because we couldn’t find any lie in your life.”

A year later, I saw on television the whole group of security men that had intimidated my family and me. They were shivering with fear in front of a judge. The government had changed and those people had to appear before the court because of things they had done. It was as if God told me, “This is what happens with those that oppose you, when you share My words.”

People are like tea bags…if you want to know what’s inside them, just drop them into hot water! Has God ever tested your faith with a problem? What do problems reveal about you?

RESPONSE: God is at work in my life—even when I do not recognize it or understand it. It is much easier and more profitable when I cooperate with Him. This is the way to victory!

PRAYER: God may I be found faithful to You through every test.

  10. I use to think that we should all consider removing all none-believers from our lives, even those that we love. I don’t think this any more. We need to keep the none-believer close, and show them the character traits of Christ. Something to think about — Have we removed people out of our lives, forgiven them and asked that the Lord forgive them also? Are we staying away from them, because it makes us uncomfortable to be around them? We best be careful that we obey the Lord on this subject; otherwise we can be adding to the problem of the none-believing sinner by rejecting them and no longer being a witness to them.

    1. WOW, so true James. This was the subject of my prayers this morning.

Unfortunately I have some experience in this area.

I tried separating myself, sometimes for long periods of time…it doesn’t work. If we truly believe in the word of God, If we truly are a follower of Christ, He wont allow it. You will be convicted to close the gap and the enemy will take full advantage of your sin until you do. I say sin because separating ourselves from non believers and or loved ones who think and act different then we do or not in accordance with God’s word is a sin. Its like a log in our eye.

The Lord showed me my weakness and then He showed me how to be more tolerant. The He showed me how to forgive not only others but myself. I must say it was harder to forgive myself then others. I was in this mindset for so long that I was ashamed of how I had presented myself to the Lord. I had to forgive myself, I had to come to a place in my heart that required falling on my knees and repenting. He brought me to that place like only the Lord can do. After He showed me how much He loved me through painting then He showed me how much I must love others.

There are so many who need our prayers, need us to be rocks. They may not know it now but they will turn to us and need our direction. If we separate from anyone we will have sent a message, one that could mean the difference between life and death eternally for others and ourselves.

      How much He loves us…

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

How much we are to love others…without exception…

Matthew 22:37-40 – And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

Ephesians 4: 2-3 – With all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

      Blessing and much love,
      Vicki

      1. Wow JC and Vicki………..my latest trial and certainly not the trial to come should we still be here. Personally I believe I will.
I stepped back due to trials and mocking but yes, it was so subtle and they know the Truth……….I stepped back to hide health issues because my Jesus heals………..BUT I stepped back.
I have a very close relationship with all my family and for that I will forever be grateful. The line drawn and truth has not totally divided us, it has put a quiet wall there. BUT there are times I hear astounding and I mean astounding Truth from them and I know………..they are simply scared.

I’ve been praying how to walk forward. I miss them sooooooooooo. Hubby and I planned a trip to visit. IF we are still here. They don’t like cold either. Soooooooo, all in all over this time we walk forward in Him, and in HIS love and not our own…………….and stop worrying about our own feelings or emotions to speak TRUTH> only 100% what Holy Spirit says and when. 🙂

  11. Vicki ,JC, Sonshine great posts. Agree in all, what you guys said makes me think of how the non believers may become believers once things start unfolding. No atheists in a fox hole but it may take that pressure before some turn back, and I bet His love you’ve shown them will suddenly manifest in them and they come right to you and us. We pray that in His name.

“Times of rejoicing will soon be overtaken by times of bitterness and pain. What once was joy, now only sorrow. Continuing to fall are My churches whose foundations have been shaken and now crumble beneath the load of sin continually heaped upon it.

My statutes no longer seem important as the sheep follow after the false shepherd pursuing worldly pleasures with no accountability. The place so long sought after remains unattainable for sin continues to rob the world of all that is good.

Judgement begins in the house of God, and indeed it has begun. Soon it will spill out and overflow its banks….one nation at a time.”

JESUS said: “I AM the shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:11
“These people are blemishes at your love feasts, eating with you without the slightest qualm–shepherds who feed only themselves. They are clouds without rain, blown along by the wind; autumn trees, without fruit and uprooted–twice dead.” Jude 1:12

“Many shepherds will ruin my vineyard and trample down my field; they will turn my pleasant field into a desolate wasteland.” Jeremiah 12:10

Guard your hearts and your minds; seek Godly wisdom and knowledge.
“This is what the LORD says: “Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the LORD.” Jeremiah 17:5

GOD USES PROBLEMS AND PERSECUTION TO CORRECT YOU
“…It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws.” Psalm 119:71-72 LB

Here is another of five ways God uses problems and persecution in your life: God uses problems and persecution to CORRECT you.

Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It is likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something—health, money, a relationship—by losing it.

John 17 clearly teaches that He does not desire to have His church in the comforts of a problem-free society. He desires for His church to be faithful in the midst of trials and testing.

During a recent visit to Indonesia, some co-workers had the joy of participating in an Open Doors Standing Strong Through the Storm (SSTS) seminar held in an area of intense conflict. The constant presence of armed soldiers outside the building confirmed that this seminar was far more than just a theology course—this was reality! More than seven hundred churches were already burned to the ground and the church was facing a severe onslaught.

On the second day of teaching, one pastor suddenly jumped up and with all his heart cried out: “My brother, please don’t teach us just to survive, teach us to be faithful.”

In understanding God’s purposes for the church it is vital to understand His requirements for us to remain faithful within these purposes. Faithfulness is not a request it is the duty of every believer. “Teach us to be faithful in the midst of our circumstances” should be a far greater priority in our prayers than that of making our society a safer place. Perseverance is far more important than transformation or preservation.

William Barclay said the following about praying for our circumstances. “When we pray for ourselves and others, we should not ask for the release from any task or situation, but strength to complete it and endure it. Prayer should be for power and seldom for release: not release but conquest must be the keynote of the church.”

RESPONSE: God is at work in my life—even when I do not recognize it or understand it. It is much easier and more profitable when I cooperate with Him. This is the way to victory!

PRAYER: Lord, teach us to be faithful in the midst of our circumstances.

  15. Prepare
    Apr 28, 2016 10:39 am | Glynda Linkous

My children, prepare for adversity, for the enemy has set in motion a plan to launch much adversity at My people.

At times, I allow adversity as part of your training, as I can see what is coming in your future. Only I know what you need to be trained in. I am helping you to conform to My image as you submit to Me and My Word in these situations.

Strive to be like Me, to walk in My ways, to obey My Word. I have so much for you to learn and do and see in the time you have left, but you must obey Me in order to receive all I have for you.

    James 1:2-4
    2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

    Romans 5:3-6
    3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

    Psalm 25:1-2
25 Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.
2 O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.

    2 Corinthians 12:7-10
7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

    Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

GOD USES PROBLEMS AND PERSECUTION TO PROTECT YOU
“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” Genesis 50:20

Here is another of five ways God uses problems and persecution in your life: God uses problems and persecution to PROTECT you.

A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem—but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management’s actions were eventually discovered.

Eritrean Christian singer, Helen Berhane, testifies that God helped her at every turn during her almost three years of imprisonment in the infamous shipping containers. She saw God repeatedly turn evil plans into good:

One day they [the guards] brought two girls to my container. Their names were Rahel and Elsa. They were both in the army before they were arrested. They were supposed to spy on me and report back, because the authorities could not understand how, despite their treatment of me, I was still defiant. However, things backfired because the girls really liked me. Very soon we had become good friends and they even told me, “We were supposed to spy on you. But we like you, and so we won’t!”

…Since the girls were not spying as they had been told to, Rahel was released, but they left Elsa in the container with me for a while. Rahel left all her spare clothes for me. This was a blessing, as for a long time I had not been allowed any more clothes, even when the old ones were worn out. I felt that this was God’s provision for me, like the ravens he sent to Elijah. It was my experience that no matter what hardship I was in, God always sent someone to help me. So, although these girls were sent to spy on me, God used them to bless me.[1] (emphasis mine)

RESPONSE: God is at work in my life—even when I do not recognize it or understand it. It is much easier and more profitable when I cooperate with Him. This is the way to victory!

PRAYER: God help me to trust You to bring good from the challenges, difficulties and persecutions I might be subjected to today.

  17. Distractions
    Apr 29, 2016 10:44 am | Glynda Linkous

My children, pay attention to how your time is spent.

As technology and other distractions in the world around you enthrall your gaze, events are taking place in the world that signal My return is near that you miss. In this way, My people are lulled to sleep and remain unprepared for the end.

Do not allow the enemy to steal your time away.

    Ephesians 5:15-17
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

    Luke 12:19-20
19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
20 But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
