The Lord Will Protect You On Your Journeys

I had the word “Sherpa” in my head the other morning when I woke up.  I really did not know what that meant.  Here’s the definition:

A member of a Himalayan people living on the borders of Nepal and Tibet, renowned for their skill in mountaineering.
(informal) : a civil servant or diplomat who undertakes preparatory political work prior to a summit conference.

I shared this with my sister and what came to mind was Psalms 121.  The definition of Sherpa mentions those skilled in mountaineering.  It also mentions those who are preparing for a conference.  A note of thanks to Linda, for her assistance on this.

Many may be called to “Go Out” by the Lord.  This will require total obedience and trust in the Lord.  I believe many are being called out to do this in preparation for the final harvest of souls.

Psalms 121 (Common English Version)

I raise my eyes toward the mountains.
Where will my help come from?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth.
3 God won’t let your foot slip.
Your protector won’t fall asleep on the job.
4 No! Israel’s protector
never sleeps or rests!
5 The Lord is your protector;
the Lord is your shade right beside you.
6 The sun won’t strike you during the day;
neither will the moon at night.
7 The Lord will protect you from all evil;
God will protect your very life.
8 The Lord will protect you on your journeys—
whether going or coming—
from now until forever from now.

  1. I love the Psalm scriptures…121 and 23 being my favorite. Yes…”The Lord will protect you on your journeys—whether going or coming—from now until forever from now”.

    His promises are endless!

    Thank You James!

  2. A good word, James.
    It’s interesting that I just left “Strength 4 the JOURNEY” web-site before clicking on this word.

    Your word sounds like a CONFIRMATION about THE JOURNEY.
    God Bless.

    1. Peggy,
      Didn’t know about impending switchover til just now. I responded 2 u about SBS but yes, I had made connection to Valentine’s the moment it was conveyed. I also remembered that a post regarding Feb/Valentine’s had been shared on z3 recently. It’s also been conveyed the days are numbered (& in short supply). But given the post shared on BA2 from Ali Winters, it lines up.

  3. Just a thought here, James, because this word “sherpa” applies to the Napal region. Our pastor is a member of a Bible-translation team and has a team on the ground in Napal. Did you know that Napal is under an embargo enforced by India? India is blocking all oil and gas from being shipped into Napal in retaliation for the country having a religious freedom clause in their new constitution. India wants the government of Napal to declare Hindu as the national religion and to sanction persecution against all other religions. The people on my pastor’s team are cooking on open fires, have no gasoline for their cars or heat for their homes, and this is during winter in the Himalayan mountains. One couple on my prayer list has a one-year-old child.

    May word of this persecution spread far and wide in this virtual home group so that we may storm heaven on their behalf! How wonderful that the Lord has provided this open door to publically proclaim this prayer!

    Blessings, brother!

  4. Amazing JC – so between the meaning of this post and the history Christine just revealed that scripture fits perfectly for this. That is amazing sister Christine, that they chose to opt out of Hinduism and suffer for the cross. Amen how great is our God and how awesome for them to lead that part of the world. Bless them Lord , protect and provide for them as only you can.

    1. Amen, brother! These people are suffering so, not only from this embargo but also from that major earthquake last year. Many of them only have tents to live in and those who DO have homes have no heat, no hot water. Storm heaven with me, all of you, and watch our King send His provision to these faithful warriors who translate His Word into heart languages in order for their people to be saved!

      Amen and amen!
