When I woke up I remember the dream as segments. I don’t recall how long this dream was, only some of the parts.  Each segment is listed below with my interpretation, followed by scripture.

  • Circles Everywhere.  dream_circles
  • Trying to come up with a solution to a math equation that had results too big to display.  dream_math_problem
  • Conference Room with table in a work setting.   dream_conference_room
  • Phone communication failure.  dream_phone_failure
  • People in the dream as co-workers, but I don’t recall who they were or what they looked like. dream_coworkers
  • The character “Spock” was in the dream, but I only remember he was within view behind a glass barrier, but no words were spoken.  spock_behind_window

Circles. This represents horrific things that may be all around us. We need to put the Lord first and trust him in all things. We need to have full trust in his protection when everything we are accustomed to no longer exists.

Joshua 6:7

He said to the people, “Go forward! March around the city, and let the armed men go ahead of the ark of the Lord.”

Ephesians 6

Put on the armor of God

10 Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and his powerful strength. 11 Put on God’s armor so that you can make a stand against the tricks of the devil. 12 We aren’t fighting against human enemies but against rulers, authorities, forces of cosmic darkness, and spiritual powers of evil in the heavens. 13 Therefore, pick up the full armor of God so that you can stand your ground on the evil day and after you have done everything possible to still stand. 14 So stand with the belt of truth around your waist, justice as your breastplate, 15 and put shoes on your feet so that you are ready to spread the good news of peace. 16 Above all, carry the shield of faith so that you can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word.

Large Math Equation. Here in scripture it states that there is much more than one can imagine about what Jesus has done. Too big to be contained or counted in a space as large as the world.

John 21

25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Conference Room. This is about coming together. Having fellowship with our Heavenly Father and Jesus.

Isaiah6

1 John 1

2 The life was revealed, and we have seen, and we testify and announce to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was revealed to us. 3 What we have seen and heard, we also announce it to you so that you can have fellowship with us. Our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We are writing these things so that our joy can be complete.

Communication Failure. The Lord speaks and many do not listen.

John 10:27

My sheep listen to my voice. I know them and they follow me.

Co-Workers.   When God’s children come together, we can expect him to be with us. This could be Bible-Study, Virtual Blogs, Church, Fellowship & Prayer. Through the power of the Lord we can expect to cast out Demons, Heal the sick, Raise the dead. We shall witness the blind being able to see, the deaf hear, the disabled get up and walk; wherever the true Gospel is preached.

Matthew 18:20

For where two or three are gathered in my name, I’m there with them.”

Luke 7:22

Then Jesus answering said unto them, “Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard: how the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the Gospel is preached.

Spock.  Spock represents the logic we have while in the flesh. We have to let logic go, and be led by the Holy Spirit. There is no limit that can be placed on God through the Holy Spirit. The glass represents how we can see our past, but we must let it go. We must die to our old selves.

John 14:26

The Companion, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I told you.

Romans 8:13

If you live on the basis of selfishness, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the actions of the body, you will live.

I ask that nobody get into scriptural debates.  Anyone who feels the need to argue or post hateful messages, please pray for guidance from the Holy Spirit.  Anyone not being respectful can expect their responses to go into my virtual trash can. Snarky comments can also expect to find their way into the trash can.

  3. Great post James! Parts of our dream is very similar to what I’m hearing. When I worship I’m led to certain scripture. Ephesians 6 keeps showing up. It’s all about the armor for us if we are to survive.

And recently I had a dream where it was made clear that the “time is near” for Jesus to return. It was also clear that I was to do my part to further God’s Kingdom. More need to be saved. There was an urgency to the message. When new souls are saved I’m to teach them to memorize scripture, specificly the Lord’s pray and Psalms 23. The reason is because things like computers and our Bibles will not be available. When I woke that morning I spent most of the day, from morning and into the afternoon in worship and prayer and journaling.

Matthew 18: 20 also keeps coming up. I use it a lot now when asking for prayer. We MUST stand in agreement.

Becoming warriors for God is yet another…my most recent painting is of a warrior, “Dancing in the Spirit”. Her movement is what stands out…and her face shows determination. She is a Warrior for God. The message is I must, we must stand up for Jesus in a mighty and bold way no matter the consequences.

I love how the Holy Spirit leads us to those who will add strength to His messages by showing us the same things. He’s building His army, He’s grooming His Warriors!

    Blessings,
    Vicki

    1. Vicki, The Lord is truly amazing & I know what you mean about building up the army for him. If you are able to take a picture of that painting and send it, I’ll be glad to post it for you. We are truly living in times where 100% trust in the Lord is necessary and we will witness some great things done in his name. There may be something in your paintings that truly touches a person to come close to the lord. Everything we do now, is to help bring more souls to the Kingdom.

      1. Good Morning James,

I’ll be happy to send it to you. Off to worship now though…will send later today. I’ve believed all along my paints are to be used for God’s glory. So yes I’ll send it. There’s no other explanation for me to be able to paint theses pictures when I’m not an artist. He manifest an image on my paper…then I define what He has put in front of me. He’s the artist, not me. Glory be to God. I’ll explain more, I’ll include how that happens when I send our latest painting.

        Blessings,
        Vicki

  4. To leave logic behind hmm….thats like me being a fish leaving water behind.

The Lord said he is an God of order and no confusion.
Faith then is the Lords logic hebrews 11: faith is the substance of things hoped for evidence of things not seen.

You dont need to abandon logic its built into scripture.

My personal interpretation is that faith in Jesus is manifested through what his word says but what you hope for is individual! Hence the substance varies from believer to believer.

And crisis tends to bring faith forth and accelerate your relationship to Jesus.

And clarify the invisible mechanisms not seen without faith as hebrews 11 says.
Never abandon logic but enshroud it in faith!

    1. Stig-Ove, We never abandon the truth in the word. We do need to die to ourselves; thus we need to let our own natural minds get out of the way. If we use logic and try to determine what the Lord wants, it will never happen. We must be led by the Holy Spirit in all things. What once may have seemed logical, will no longer apply. We are probably saying the same thing, just using different ways of saying it 🙂

    2. A good example of being led by the Holy Spirit and taking our natural minds out of it: Let’s say a Fallen Angel manifests itself right next to you. You may feel the Holy Spirit leading you to take authority in the name of Jesus and send the evil entity out to the Abyss and ask the Lord to send angels of protection around you. If we react out of fear, some may fill their under-britches, some may shoot at it, some may yell at it — these are all man’s ideas and will result in failure.

    3. And the greatest logic is this: trust in the leading of the Holy Spirit, even when “the natural mind” does not understand it, for the Mind of God goes beyond our mere human understanding. . . And THANK YOU JESUS for that 🙂

  5. Another example of being led by the Holy Spirit and ignoring our natural logical minds: Say the Lord commands you to go and only take necessities with you. You have little to no money to travel — You have the choice to obey the Lord and trust that he will take care of your needs or you can tell him NO! I myself prefer to trust the Lord for everything.

    1. Great Answer, James. . . And it’s VERY true. The Lord also puts us into a position where we KNOW we can’t do something, so we must trust Him. All the logic in the World couldn’t part the Red Sea . . Couldn’t feed the thousands with loaves and fishes . . . Couldn’t raise the dead, heal the sick, cast out demons. . . All required both the faith and being led by the Holy Spirit.

      1 Corinthians 1:26-28 –
26For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; 27but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, 28and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,…

  6. I guess you are right but i still consider scripture extremely logical, you have at least 2-3 witnessing passages to all key biblical doctrines from different eras of time.

Im not one to refuse that the Holy Spirit leads because its a verified biblical doctrine. And as i pointed out the Lord works in our desperation much of the time. Its Only then most come to Jesus.
I dont want people to think im some dusty old backroom biblescholar WHO sits in an ivory tower sharing wisdom to lessers!

I found plenty of wisdom from people here WHO are as you say Holy Spirit guided.

IF i would be that i would be one of those prune religious people Linda blasted in one of her earlier posts.

But having Said that i also have to point out i consider bibles Based upon the textus recepts and masoretic text like the Kjv and interlinear Hebrew bible to be the most reliable historically and scholarvise!

No intention to offend anyone just Based upon research and church history, but i will not limit God. He can do miracles through me also

      1. Well you better not hose me with water in My home town, we have the most expansive water in Finland.
You would need to have deep pockets for that 😝

  7. Wow Stig-ov. we have our own well so I guess I tend to take having free water for granted. I wish I could send you a bunch so you could splurge. Same with Linda and meat. I have 1/4th the income I had since I got sick. By most standards we are very low income. But, I have a full freezer and pantry and I can take as long of hot shower as I want.

I don’t ever want to take any of the Lord’s provision for granted and would gladly share all that I have. I don’t think Jesus would mind though if you all came for a big old steak barbecue and a water fight for fun. Then you all can go hike up the mountain and chase some elk or deer while I get the s’more stuff out. Then we can sit or lay in the backyard and watch all the stars come out and Praise God for His amazing creation. Or, go fishing at the river, since night fishing is the best. For those who don’t like “wetting a worm” you can walk up and down the river, sharing hot chocolate and the Gospel.

      1. I know James, I tear up at the thought of heaven and getting to be with Jesus. Getting to see all this extended family that I am really growing to love more each day, is the cherry on top of it all. I think it will be more exciting than we can imagine.

  8. Wow, James, this post is on point for me! Having to do some house cleaning tonight in my small group (cause one of those slimy green guys is threatening to divide us) and since last Wednesday, the King is telling me to rely only on Him. He had me prepare a rebuttal to the charges against the author we’re reading, but I have no idea if I’ll use it. Praying to just get out of the way: the battle is not mine, but the Lord’s. Amen and amen. Bless you, all of you, and know how thankful I am to have this virtual family teaching and training and praying for me!

    1. Amen. All the Glory goes to the Lord. May we continue to listen and obey the Lord. Take that request of protection directly to the Lord, he will guide you on what you need to say and do. No matter what the smelly sulfuric entities throw at us, we have the power given to us in the name of Jesus. 🙂

  9. Regarding the discussion of “logic”, let us remember a couple of things:
    1. In 2 Cor. 10:3-5, the “arguments” that are to be cast down are literally defined as “logic & reason”! God is commanding us to use His weapons of warfare, that are mighty in HIM, to demolish & cast down logical reasonings, the kind that emanate from the flesh!
    2. Regarding Hebrews 1:1, I’ve always believed that it was the “Faith” that we could possess that was the “evidence”! In other words, God puts this “thing” into our hands so that we know there is something ‘coming’, kind of like a placeholder, or a ticket. And this “thing” in our hands, is the evidence of what will be coming later! For example, if we purchase a plane ticket, the ticket is the evidence that a future flight will take place! So God gives us Faith, which we can hold in our hands (so to speak) as evidence of “things hoped for, and things unseen”!

God is indeed “logical”, but the logic He uses is often beyond our comprehension! I often use this analogy: God has a total of a zillion tons of knowledge/reason/ways/etc., but our human pea-brains can only hold 1 ounce! So, which ounce, out of God’s total of a zillion tons, are we going to hold in our brains? It’s like looking at a miles-long parade through a pin hole in a picket fence…

Fascinating revelations in this dream. May God continue to reveal its meaning to His People!

God bless & keep you all!

    1. Mark, thanks for sharing that scripture with us and for bringing more discussion to our group. Please stop by any time and join in. About this dream — before I wrote it up, I just had words on a piece of paper. My sister mentioned that it sounded like the Lord was sending me on a “Treasure Hunt”. I like that analogy, as that is what it truly was. My prior work and educational background was in Computer Science, so logic was always a must for me. It’s something we have to remove when it comes to being led by the Holy Spirit. The Lord can do unlimited things that defy logic as defined by our human minds.

  10. Hello! Just have to post, I’ve been frequently reminded of this exact same Spock clip over the past few months. Spock says “The good of the many outweigh the good of the few.” Sounds very noble and righteous – but like anything else, application without the Holy Spirit just makes it new-agey. Thank you for your obedience, I (and many others too) have been and continue to be blessed by your postings! God bless! Kim
