We must die to to ourselves and let Jesus guide us in all things.  The reason for this post is that I sometimes get a “something just isn’t right about that” feeling when I hear something or sometimes just look at a picture or person.

Romans 8

13 If you live on the basis of selfishness, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the actions of the body, you will live.

Acts 2: 17

In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your young will see visions.
Your elders will dream dreams.
18 Even upon my servants, men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
19 I will cause wonders to occur in the heavens above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and a cloud of smoke.
20 The sun will be changed into darkness,
and the moon will be changed into blood,
before the great and spectacular day of the Lord comes.
21 And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

This feeling of “something just isn’t right” has happened to me several times.  Here are a few examples:

  • Someone you know as a Christian tells you something that doesn’t quite sit right with you.  It could be man’s doctrine that is a manipulation of the true word of the Lord.   Examples:  Pre-Tribulation Rapture & Prosperity Doctrine.
  • Someone you know can try and convince you that if you don’t do a certain thing, just like them, that your are going to hell.  We go to the Father through his son Jesus and ask to be forgiven of all things.  The Lord is the only one that can make the Judgment on eternity and not man.  We must obey his commandments and ask him to reveal anything to us that is not pleasing to him.  We grow in the word.
  • Someone may and try to convince you that anything but the King James Version of the bible is heresy.

We must pray for ourselves to be freed of any manipulating spirit and also pray for others.
