We all need to stay alert and clean in spirit. Ask the Lord for forgiveness of sin every single day. Warnings are going out to tell us that time is running out for God’s mercy. Judgment will be coming very soon and it is time for people to make the choice for where they will spend eternity.
This may be a time to separate ourselves from those that have already turned away from the Lord in defiance. We need to continue praying for them, so they will not end up in the lake of fire. Separating ourselves from loved ones and friends, is not something to be taken lightly. We need to pray and ask the Lord for timing of this. I have a few people that I may be forced to stay away from, even though it will not feel good. This doesn’t mean to stop loving them, it just means that we need to stay in prayer for them.
There is no more time to deal with Mockers and Scoffers. We need to pray for them as well as our enemies. Anyone bringing discord to fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, should expect their comments to go directly into the trash where they belong.
2 Peter 1
16 We didn’t repeat crafty myths when we told you about the powerful coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Quite the contrary, we witnessed his majesty with our own eyes. 17 He received honor and glory from God the Father when a voice came to him from the magnificent glory, saying, “This is my dearly loved Son, with whom I am well-pleased.” 18 We ourselves heard this voice from heaven while we were with him on the holy mountain. 19 In addition, we have a most reliable prophetic word, and you would do well to pay attention to it, just as you would to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. 20 Most important, you must know that no prophecy of scripture represents the prophet’s own understanding of things,21 because no prophecy ever came by human will. Instead, men and women led by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.
20 Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, gather to us there. Our God will fight for us.”
