Did you know that you are really celebrating the birth of an Egyptian God/Idol named Osiris,  on December 25th?  Did you also know that nobody really knows the true day Jesus was born?   The best estimate for the day Christ was born, is on September 29th.

I found a reference to ancient dates that summarize what others have found to be the truth about the reality of some Holidays and the true meanings behind them.   Take a look at this:  http://www.therain.org/appendixes/app179.html

Where did the Christmas tree and all the pretty ornaments originate from?  Did you know that this type of celebration was condemned by the prophet Jeremiah?

Jeremiah 10:2-4: “Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not.” (King James Version).

    1. Amen. Each of us needs the conviction from the Holy Spirit to guide us in all things. I told my roommate last night that I don’t believe in forcing others to follow my direction, as that is something for each person to decide. I let him know that I don’t judge other people that still prefer to celebrate Christmas, as it is a Holiday that most people have had family traditions with in their youth.
